Help us reforest California

WOODCHUCK USA, in collaboration with Zippo Lighters, is planting MILLIONS of trees to help reforest the planet.

Last year, our efforts were focused on Madagascar, in partnership with Eden Reforestation. This year our focus has been on reforesting the great state of California. Due to the extensive number of wildfires in the United States, we wanted to make an impact by reforesting in our backyard. In this project specifically, we chose to focus our efforts on the Hat Creek Fire. By reforesting the area, it will allow people to experience nature the way it was intended. This fire devastated parts of the Lassen National Forest, which is just a few hours north of the iconic Yosemite National Park.

Hey there,

Two weeks ago, our company WOODCHUCK USA (Typically a custom wood corporate gifting company) decided to shift its production to making the much needed face shields as PPE. Our team has worked 24/7 since making that decision to scale our operation up to 4 separate facilities, employing over 450 individuals. We are now making millions of these shields per week.

These much needed face shields are getting distributed to critical hospitals in need stretching from NYC to California, and everywhere in-between.

Three days ago, we decided to shift the production at WOODCHUCK USA to manufacturing face shields /PPE for the medical sector. With true American spirit, the brains and talent of our team came together. We are currently producing 55,000 units per day, and will be producing 105,000 units per day by the end of the week

The plastic face-shield that we are manufacturing here at WOODCHUCK USA was designed and created by the Johns Hopkins medical team to protect the face, and the N95 mask ( which are in extreme shortage ) so doctors and medical professionals can conserve the N95 masks. The shields protect against "Flying Respiratory droplets" that can transmit coronavirus, and according to Johns Hopkins - if worn appropriately can be wiped down and reused.

Thanks to a strong distribution partner, our facility is on track with to be delivering over 105,000 units per day to hospitals across the United States. I expect that distribution number to double every three days.

Start a compost bin You do not need to have a yard to start a compost pile. Keep a covered bin in your kitchen to collect your compostable waste (fruits, vegetables, egg shells, even paper napkins!) Pretty much anything goes with the exception of meat, bones, oils and dairy. Add torn up newspaper or brown waste like coffee grounds to prevent your compost from smelling bad or becoming soggy.
