Christmas is coming and we know that this year we are all navigating very different and more restrictive circumstances. As an avid supporter of small and independent businesses, we know that the usual events where you can showcase your business to customers are not possible, or safe, under the current social distancing guidance.

This is why we are hosting a 5-day online shopping fayre to help you to build your business through the festive season.

On each day there are 10 one hour slots available, from 9am to 8pm, with the event ending at 9pm each day. There will also be a review post each night to summarise the businesses participating and all content will remain live throughout the event.

During your slot you 'host' the event for 60 minutes, and you may discuss your business through a live video, post content with photos and videos or a mix of both.

Each slot is ?10 + charges and this will be covering the promotion of the event, with the remaining funds being donated to charity.

Networking doesn't work! No seriously, I know I run a major UK business network for women, but unless it is done properly business networking just doesn't work. And until businessmen and women learn how to network we will see a lot of people agreeing that networking doesn't work. Before I launch into my 5 reasons why, I would like to confess that I have been guilty of all 5 faux pas too - and have seen many enthusiastic startups fall into the same traps. Had I read this article during the early days of my business I might have had much better results.
