Hey Sam,

While most of us are just about ready to start wrapping holiday presents, we're also wrapping up our year. And what a year it has been.

The release of Mind Maps marked a completion of Whimsical 1.0. We also became a real business, or in other words profitable. It was only possible because of you, our amazing customers. Thank you!

And we are just getting started.

It's Time to Break Free (from Tracking)

Whimsical now has a stable foundation. That gave us an opportunity to take a step back and consider if there is anything important we can do better as a company. One of the things that we all agreed on is that privacy should be the default. That is why we have removed Google Analytics and other types of tracking from our website, app, and emails.

Wireframe Annotations

Communicate your whys, hows and whats more efficiently with annotations.

Connectors 2.0

We've boosted our connectors to Stephen Hawking levels of intelligence. Connectors have now become more intuitive and responsive so give them a spin, kick the tires, and let us know what you think!

Tab Elements in Wireframes

It almost feels like one of those Oprah's giveaways where: You get a vertical tab! You get a horizontal tab! You get a mobile tab! Everybody gets a tab!

Contest

This month's contest is a herald of some good things that are about to happen ????and we are really curious to find out if you have created any template boards that you're using over and over again. Share the most creative and useful reusable board that you've made (something that will make others breathe a sigh of relief once they discover it) and we'll make sure you get rewarded!

???? Happy New Decade Sam!

It's such a winterful time to be alive. Admittedly, sometimes it might feel like too many things are beyond our control. But every little thing counts, so we decided to offset our team's annual CO2 emissions by donating $5000 to support reforestation. Here's how we got there.

Whimsical ?? iPads

A lot of you have been keeping an i out for this and we're so glad to finally say that Whimsical is now fully functional on iPads.

Lorem Ipsum

Use lorem ipsum to fill in the blank text spaces in your flowcharts and get a better idea of the whole picture. Once you're ready to add content to your design, you can quickly replace the blah blah blahs with your own words of magic.

Improved Search

Things tend to get lost exactly when you need them the most. You've looked into every nook and cranny and they're still nowhere to be found. And by things, we mean your ever-growing boards and folders. You can now use the search option to find not only elements in a board but also folders and boards within a workspace.

New Icons

Here's a glimpse of our updated collection of icons.
