Regular Library ProgramsWe are pleased to announce that programs will be gradually reintroduced over the coming period; check the library website or your local library for updates. The first programs to return will be It''s All About Rhymes and It''s All About Stories, with sessions starting week commencing 15 June 2020. Bookings are are required and there will be additional measures in place for the safety of attendees. We also invite community groups who normally meet in the library to contact their local branch so regular sessions can be re-established within safe guidelines.

![]() ![]() Tuesday 21 July 2020 Council approves a budget like no other to support community and local business recoveryWanneroo Council has approved a $64.2 million investment to help keep households, local businesses and the community on the road to recovery, with the adoption of its 2020/21 budget. The budget includes $4.8 million that provides recovery packages for community groups and local businesses and a one-off rates concession, ensuring 99.25 per cent of residential improved ratepayers will see a decrease or no change in their rates bill compared to last year.

As well as the upkeep and maintenance of the City’s investment in infrastructure such as roads, paths, parks and sports grounds, rates also help fund the many community services the City provides, such as sport faciltiies, meals on wheels, aged care amenities, libraries, arts and events programs. ![]() ![]() The rates calculation starts with determining the total rates revenue required to run the City of Wanneroo. The rates revenue is then divided among all City rate payers, although not everyone pays the same amount.
