Below is a sample of the emails you can expect to receive when signed up to UFI.
No images? Click here Over the past few months we''ve been developing and delivering a series of ''How To'' webinars which offer expert support and advice on how to deliver digital teaching & training. What we''ve now done at Ufi is package these up in their own section on our website which now acts as a useful resource hub for anyone who delivers vocational skills training. Summer is typically a time where those in the world of vocational education turn to Continuing Professional Development (CPD). So relax in your deckchair and catch up with our thinking on digital learning design. At the end of this email you can also read more about (and register for) an upcoming webinar which is based on a topic that I''m currently seeing a lot of in the education community - how can learning be delivered most effectively when you have a mixture of learners in the classroom and learners remotely, at the same time? All I could think about, when this rapidly became a talking point online, was having laptops on desks in place of people where they''d normally sit - I get a feeling this isn''t the way to solve this one. Probably for the best that I''m not an expert in learning design and delivery, but the team behind the webinars certainly are. See for yourself below what the Ufi team have been working on - I hope you find it useful. Stephen Hinde, Community Manager Ufi VocTech Trust''sSummer of CPD

How To Design & Deliver Blended Learning 10:30am Blended learning is nothing new in vocational learning, where a rich mix of learning experiences is the norm. But doing it well needs careful thought and analysis, consideration of the very many methods of learning delivery, sensitivity to context and culture, and a matching to resources and budget - not to mention questions of scalability and updatability. Using lessons learned from Ufi''s project portfolio and beyond, in this session we''ll look at:
There will be opportunities to ask questions throughout.

Delivering VocTech at Scale 2:00pm During this pre-recorded video you can hear from Ufi-supported organisations about how they''re using VocTech to Deliver at Scale. The Open University have experience in delivering learning at scale, but what have they learned and what should you consider when delivering learning to a lot of people? National Youth Association are experienced in delivering learning face-to-face to 10,000 Youth Workers, but how did they use technology to shift as quickly as possible to fully online learning when they had no choice - and how did this impact the one million young people those Youth Workers serve? eCom Scotland are innovators in using virtual reality for training and assessment. With already proven benefits of using VocTech in this way, what are they now doing to widen access to virtual reality training & assessment so that''s it isn''t restricted to wealthy organisations and only to people with coding skills? Interested in finding out? Simply head to our website at 1:30pm today and watch, or register for this event and we''ll send you a link to the video on YouTube when it''s released.

Find Out More & How To Apply
VocTech Seed provides grants of between £15,000 and £50,000 for projects lasting from 3 to 12 months. This is our testbed where the first spark of an idea can be scoped and tested in the supportive environment that Ufi funding provides. VocTech Seed enables new ideas to reach a point where they can demonstrate their potential to customers or funders by proving a concept, its impact on the learners and/or different stakeholders and planning a route to market. We are looking for proposals that are at a relatively early stage, helping to prototype ideas and work out the next steps necessary on the journey to long-term success.
