STEP 1

Use this link to reset your password at any time: http://www.tweentribune.com/teacher/password_reset/. To reset your password, enter your email address and click "submit." An email will be sent to you that includes a custom link to create a new password for your account. The link is only valid for 24 hours.

STEP 2

Log in, and register your students here: http://www.tweentribune.com/dashboard/setup/classrooms/

• Create as many classrooms as you need.
• Create and assign students to your classrooms.
• Write simple instructions for how you want your students to use the site.

You can return to your "Classrooms & Students" page to add additional classrooms, add students, delete students or retrieve students'' usernames and passwords. You can also update your classroom''s instructions at any time. You''ll find this link in the the right side of the homepage after you log in or at the top of your teacher dashboard.

STEP 3

After you have registered all the students in your classroom(s), click the print button to print out your students'' usernames and passwords on sheets of paper. Tear the sheets into strips, then distribute usernames and passwords to your students. If your student loses their strip, no problem! You can log back into your "Classrooms & Students" dashboard at any time and retrieve it, or generate a new password for them.

STEP 4

You can assign stories by visiting any article on TweenTribune.com and clicking the yellow "assign story" button OR you can have your students visit TweenTribune.com to find a story that interests them. Then they should post a comment for you to approve and take the quiz.
