Optimizing your training to produce the best results in the least time with the lowest injury risk requires effectively quantifying your training stress.
Normalized Training StressT (NTST) is the most accurate and advanced method of quantifying the physiological stress from a training session. It considers the session's discipline type, environment, intensity distribution, intensity levels, intensity durations, and your Training Stress ProfileT or your ability to absorb training stress.
TriDot displays your planned and actual NTS values for each session so you can see the training stress for each of your workouts. When preparing for a planned session, you'll also see an intensity icon to the right of the planned NTS indicating the preferred primary intensity metric (power, pace, or heart rate) to use for the session to achieve optimal results.
Objective feedback and insights from both your NTST and TrainXT Score help to ensure you're doing the RIGHT training RIGHT.
Learn More About NTS
GRADE-ADJUSTED PACE
Grade-Adjusted Pace (GAP) is the primary intensity metric used for all run sessions that include intensities above zone 2. GAP is the equivalent running pace that would have occurred had the effort been run on a flat surface instead of an incline or decline. GAP is used to calculate your NTS, TrainX Score, and time in zones graphs.
Your training execution objective with run sessions (and all sessions) is to effectively manage your effort rather than the variable outcomes that your effort might produce in different environments. GAP helps you do this more effectively.
