Target Ovarian Cancer Sign Up Information

We know ovarian cancer is a very isolating disease, both for the person with the diagnosis, and their family and friends. We now have even more ways to help everyone during this difficult period. 

Today I want to bring you a message from Helen, who was diagnosed in 2016. 

"The coronavirus pandemic has hit us all so hard. I've been shielding because I'm having chemotherapy at the moment. The four walls of my home and garden fence are very familiar to me right now! I want to send you all my love and best wishes and to say, you are not alone. I''ve been coping as best I can by reading (good when you're not on top form), cleaning cupboards, and helping my hubby in the garden. It all helps take my mind off things. It''s such a scary time, but I know Target Ovarian Cancer is here for me - and that they're doing everything they can do to work with the government and NHS to minimise the impact on our treatment and on our lives."

I'm so grateful to Helen for sharing her experience. Connecting with her and other women with a diagnosis is incredibly important to us. We have them in our minds at every moment, and especially during this pandemic. We've been there representing them at top-level meetings with important people like NHS England, NHS Scotland and the Scottish Cancer Coalition, the NHS in Wales and the Wales Cancer Alliance, the Northern Ireland executive, and the British Gynaecological Cancer Society.
