Because of safety precautions related to COVID-19 we need to be able to monitor and potentially limit attendance this year. To help with that, we have decided to change to using admission tickets instead of parking passes.
Purchase your admission ticketsbefore November 20 to get 50% off! (Tickets will be full price at the gate). Children 16 and under can enter free, and parking is free this year!
We hope to see you at the Fair!
Sincerely,
K. Josiah Wheeler

In response to the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19, we wanted to follow up and notify you of some updates and changes we are making to our service.
At this point, all Ploughshare classes scheduled between now and April 18 will be postponed and hopefully rescheduled later in the year.
Presently, the Homestead Craft Village will remain open during regular hours and the Caf? remains open for take-out orders. We will be limiting the number of people inside the shops, but there is plenty of fresh air and beautiful places for walks through the gardens and outdoors. We have hand-washing stations throughout the grounds, and we are sanitizing door handles, counters and the like on an hourly basis.
Caf? Homestead is launching a special menu for front door delivery in the Waco region. We are also partnering with local delivery companies to aid in this effort to continue serving our customers during this unusual season.
We will continue to monitor the ongoing situation and will be updating you as changes occur. We hope and pray you and your families stay safe in these unsettling times.
Thank you,
The Staff at The Ploughshare

Homestead Fair Update
We are disappointed to announce that with the forecasted rainy weather this weekend we will have to postpone the fair to the following weekend, Dec. 5 and 6. The predicted rainfall amounts are significant enough that we will not be able to park on our fields, and since so much of the fair is outdoors, we will not be able to hold most of our activities.
We are so sorry about this, but weather is a bit out of our control! For those who cannot make it the following weekend, the Homestead Craft Village and Cafe will still be open this Friday and Saturday, along with Make-Your-Own activities in all the craft shops and hayrides (between rain showers) on Saturday. In addition, the children's hay maze will be open for free and the animal pens will be open.
For any who have already bought tickets, all tickets will be good for the following weekend. If you''re unable to make it the following weekend, please email info@homesteadfair.com for a refund.
50%-Off Discount
In addition, we are extending the 50%-off admission ticket discount through midnight, December 4, 2020.

In light of Governor Greg Abbott's announcement Monday regarding the reopening of Texas, we are happy to announce that ?beginning tomorrow? (Friday ?May 1) we will be reopening the Homestead Craft Village and Ploughshare Campus?. We plan to re-open Ploughshare classes starting May 4 and will provide more details soon about upcoming and re-scheduled classes. In keeping with the governor's order and State health officials' guidelines, here are a few of the things we'll be doing for the safety of our customers and employees:
. Limiting building occupancies to 25%
. Protective face coverings for staff involved in direct customer service and teaching
. Multiple hand-washing stations throughout the craft village grounds
. Hand sanitizer in all classrooms and masks and gloves available to students if they wish
. Hourly sanitization of door handles, counters and the like, using EPA-approved disinfectant
The Craft Village will be open during its regular hours ?starting Friday morning at 9AM?. Caf? Homestead will continue to be open for take-out orders and will return to its normal hours for dine-in service ?starting Friday morning at 8AM?. They also have launched a special menu for front door delivery in the Waco region.
Even though the number of people inside the shops will be limited to 25% of capacity, there is plenty of fresh air and beautiful places for walks through the gardens and outdoors. We will continue to monitor the ongoing situation and will be updating you as changes occur. We hope and pray you and your families stay safe in these unsettling times and really look forward to seeing you again!
