It''s Time to Play!

This Christmas, 30,000 seriously ill children are in danger of missing out on the chance to play. If a child can't play during their treatment, the experience can be scary, upsetting and isolating - especially with family visiting times reduced during the pandemic. 

We believe play must be protected. That's why, as we head towards the end of a uniquely challenging year, it's Starlight's ambition to raise ?300,000 to give 30,000 seriously ill children the chance to play this Christmas. Find out how you can get involved below.

We hope you are all keeping well.

You might already have heard of the 2.6 Challenge from the Virgin London Marathon Team. Starlight are taking part and we need you to jump up and join in this weekend.

We'd like as many of our Starlight Supporters to Jump for Joy and give us 26 of your finest Star Jumps. Added kudos from us if you manage to do it in fancy dress. So, jump up and give us 26 of the best!

If Star Jumps aren't your thing then that's ok with us. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination (and the numbers 2 and 6). Please do follow Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing.

Dear Jon

Thank you so much for your support this year. Without you, Starlight really couldn't have reached as many seriously ill children and their families as we did. 

It's been a difficult year for all of us and we at Starlight have needed to make many changes to ensure we deliver play and distraction, fun and entertainment to seriously ill children in and out of hospital. I've recorded a brief review of 2020 to tell you about some of the remarkable people we've worked with and the changes that my team have made to make this year as successful as possible. 

Your donations and support have been so important; more so than ever. We're looking forward to better days in 2021 for Starlight children and their families. But for now, merry Christmas to you and your family and I wish you a very happy new year.
