We hope that you, your families and colleagues are keeping safe and well.
September was an outstanding month for the Virtual Club with over 100 companies joining the community, over 180,000 hours of activity completed and over 168,000 kilometres covered - that''s four times around the world! Not only that but we hit a big target too, with over one million points earned, which helped to unlock another US$90,000 donation for The Extra Mile program - what an incredible achievement!
The daily activity of our Virtual Club members means that our global community has unlocked US$270,000 in donations to support our partner charities in each race city, that are yet to receive funding this year, in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic or addressing inequality issues.
We also held our first city relay race - the inaugural Virtual Bloomberg Square Mile Relay in London! The individual finishing times of the top five runners from each company were formed to give an overall team time and it wasn't surprising that previous winners Barclays were back on the podium, setting a blistering time of 24:09.
