Below is a sample of the emails you can expect to receive when signed up to Southwark.
Your temporary library number is H0027262. Please keep this information safe. It will allow you to access the following services for one month:
Search the library catalogue and place reservations
Access your library account online
Use a range of free eResources, including Theory Test Pro
Search for community information
Borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks free of charge
Becoming a permanent library member
To continue using these services you will need to visit any Southwark Library to collect your permanent library card. Please bring your temporary library number and one form of identity (ID) with your current address. Examples of acceptable forms of ID include rent book, driver's licence or a recent utility bill, telephone bill or bank statement.
Your permanent Southwark Library card gives you access to over 350,000 books, films and CDs in Southwarks 12 libraries, as well as continued access to a range of eResources and free-to-borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks. You can read more about our full range of services, including activities for children, learning in libraries, free computer and WI-FI access and the Home Library Service on the Southwark website.
Under 18?
Customers under 18 will require the signature of a guarantor (usually a parent or carer) to become a permanent member of the library. If you are under 18 please ask a parent or guardian to provide their details below:
