PANDEMIC HAS DRAMATIC IMPACT ON RISK ASSESSMENTS AND OSTEOPOROSIS MANAGEMENT
A new study finds that usage of the Fracture Risk Assessment Tool (FRAX?) website was on average 58% lower in April than in February 2020, with 2/3 of the countries evaluated showing reductions by at least 50%. It is estimated that within a 3-month period more than 0.5 million patients were excluded from risk assessment - and many from necessary treatment for osteoporosis.

|
This month we were honoured and pleased to include 105 UK Fracture Liaison Services (FLS) on the CTF Map of Best Practice. Now displaying 130 UK FLS and a total of 555 FLS worldwide, the CTF Map aims to give visibility and recognition to FLS in all regions of the world. CTF greatly thanks the Royal Osteoporosis Society, which is a pioneer and leading advocate of post-fracture care coordination program implementation, for its valued collaboration and ongoing support.
