Give Your Stress a Number
|
|
Let''s do a fun little exercise together.
Looking back on 2020, how stressed have you been?
Open your planner and let''s give your stress a rating: on a scale from 1-10, 10 being severe stress and 1 being peaced-out, what number would you give yourself?
I''ll share my answer with you. :) In 2019, I was an 8. I felt a lot of pressure at work and was up at 6 AM working, checking emails after work, and having insomnia.
In 2020, I dropped to a 2 level. Isn''t that crazy? With all that has been going on, I''ve managed to activate anti-stress activities that have helped manage these stressful times.

When I first launched my business, I was often stressed beyond level 10. This would eventually lead to burnout, and a burnt out boss is good to no one! ??

Start tracking your stress levels on your weekly plan to increase self-awareness.
|
|
Studies show that a little stress is actually good for you and can improve your performance. Too little stress can lead to boredom, and too much can cause anxiety.
During downtime, I like maintain a level of 3 or lower for stress levels and at work, I try to not get higher than level 5.
In your planner, make sure to create a stress strategy plan. What are some activities that lower your stress levels?
|
|
|
Create a stress strategy plan to get your stress levels back down to a 5 or below.
|
|
Here''s my list to help inspire yours:
1. Walk 10K steps per day while listening to my favorite music or podcasts
2. Do an at-home facial and massage for nourishment
3. Watch funny videos on Youtube
4. Take Airbnb online cooking classes
5. Do yoga before bed
6. Plan my week every Sunday
7. Mask in the shower
8. Go to a dance event to heal and awaken imagination
Now create your list in the first part of your planner and plug it into your weekly schedule to bring your stress levels down in 2020.
xoXO!
