This Saturday, January 25, we celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Ordination of our senior pastor, The Rev. Amandus J. Derr, with a gala concert called "For All That Has Been -- Thanks!"

We wanted to send you a little reminder about this special event, along with some more details of the program. A few highlights...

Organ prelude begins at 3:45 p.m.
We begin with "Sonata on the 94th Psalm" by Julius Reubke (1834-1858), performed by Saint Peter's Cantor, Bálint Karosi.

WORLD PREMIERE: "O Come, O Come," composed by Bálint Karosi (b. 1979) for Choir SATB, soloists and period orchestra. Composed for the 45th Anniversary of the ordination of The Rev. Amandus J. Derr.

The Sión Ensemble (Rodolfo Zanetti, bandoneón; Emilio Teubal, piano; Guillermo Vaisman, voice and guitar, director) perform compositions by Riz Ortolani (1926-2014) and Ariel Ramírez (1921-2010).

Choreography by Roberto Lara: "Ashes" - inspired by Doris Humphrey's Air for the G String (1928), music by Johan Sebastian Bach (1685-1750); and "Dance of Invocation" after Asaf Messerer, music by Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943).

WORLD PREMIERE of a composition by Director of Music for Jazz, Ike Sturm, featuring Melissa Stylianou, Misty Ann Sturm, Chris Dingman, Jesse Lewis, and Ike Sturm.

WORLD PREMIERE of a setting by Balint Karosi of "Drake," a tune by Gregg Smith.
