Hey there, What''s the purpose of this email? We’re doing a webinar to show you some great new features to help you in these tough times. Allow your attendees to pre-register for your event by putting a card on file, then mass charge the cards later when your event moves forward. Plus, enhanced virtual events features. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of our event partners. We know these are crazy times and the future of events is changing every day. You are not alone! We’ve been working really hard to keep you ahead. Here are some new ideas and features to help survive these times. John and I are hosting a live webinar this Thursday at 10am PDT to show you what’s new and answer your questions. Save your spot here. Here''s a rundown of what we''ll be covering in the webinar. Pre-Registration with Card On FileIf you have an upcoming event, we understand you are in a hard spot. You might feel like you can’t promote your event in case it doesn’t happen -- and many attendees seem unwilling to outlay money with events being so uncertain. We have a solution for you! Now you can promote your future event, but instead of taking full payments upfront and risking having to refund them, attendees can save their spot by putting a card on file (don’t worry, we verify the card is valid and then save the order). When your event does proceed, you can mass charge all the attendees at once to complete their orders. We’d love to show it to you in action this Thursday. Timeslot TicketingAs the nation begins to open back up, we’re seeing numerous cities adopt a phased approach to gatherings that will allow businesses to reopen but with restricted attendee limits. This poses a great opportunity for event organizers to imagine their event experiences with multiple timeslots — each timeslot with an allotted limit on concurrent attendees. So instead of having all of your attendees gather at once, you can spread your event over multiple timeslots or days. It could be a short term option to start bringing your events back to life now. We will show you how to set this up this Thursday. Enhanced Virtual Events PlatformWe’ve been working our rears off to bring you virtual event functionality. We’re excited about it, and we’re not done yet! We are now seeing over 10,000 attendees each week sign up for virtual events. While not every event can go virtual, many can. Need to transition your in-person event to a virtual one? We have you covered. We will give you the quick overview of what is new in our virtual events program... yep, you guessed it: this Thursday. In Development: New Embedded Video CommunicationEvery day, we hear people asking how to embed their zoom meeting in a way that it is restricted to virtual attendees only. Zoom is a great platform and has become the ubiquitous video meeting solution, but it has its flaws. Because Zoom requires you to launch an external platform, they don’t allow you to reliably restrict your Zoom meetings to only your event attendees. We’re working on a new Zoom-like video feature that is embedded directly into your virtual event page! Now your video conferencing content will be only available to registered attendees. This feature could be a game-changer for anyone doing breakout sessions, workshops, panels, or other medium-sized groups. If you can’t tell, attending this Thursday will really be worth your time. We Want To Hear From YouWe hope you join us this Thursday, not only to share new features with you, but so we can also hear from you, answer your questions, and speak to your concerns. We want to know what you are seeing, feeling, and needing during these times. We hope to see you this Thursday at 10am PDT. Register here. Best, Eric & John Co-Founder of Webconnex

Hey there, (What''s the point of this email? We''re hosting a free zoom on Monday explaining how the new federal program can help event organizers.) By now you’ve probably heard that the Federal Government has signed into law a $2 trillion dollar rescue package in response to the coronavirus crisis called the CARES Act. Those of us in the events industry know how hard this crisis has hit. So many of us were forced to cancel events, and some may still have to. A lot of event organizers are just trying to survive. The good news is this new law has over $349 billion dollars set aside to help businesses impacted by the coronavirus recover. There are some remarkable things in this law that can help or even save your business — including forgivable loans if used for payroll and rent (among other things). There are a lot of things in this law, and other laws that have already been enacted that can help you get through these times. In our pursuit to be a good partner with you, we hosting something that should benefit you in a big way. This Monday at 10 am PST, we will host a free informational webinar for event organizers to explain in plain human terms what this package means for your business. (Save your spot here). We’re thrilled to have a CPA and Attorney on the webinar with us to answer your questions. We know your situation may be unique and they are ready for your questions. This rescue package is massive, but so is the information behind it. Our goal is to give you clear answers and understand exactly how the relief package can apply to you. Join us Monday at 10 am. Register here. It’s completely free. We''re in this together with you. Hope to see you Monday. Best, Eric & John Co-Founder of Webconnex

Hey there, (What''s the point of this email? You can get a forgivable* loan of 2.5x your payroll if you act fast. But don''t stress, we can help you.) Let''s cut to the chase: Tomorrow, April 3rd is the first day of the Paycheck Protection Program -- a $349 billion dollar program that is part of the new government relief CARES Act to help small businesses and non-profits survive this pandemic. If you have no idea what we''re talking about, we hosted a webinar this past Monday where we explained it in plain human terms. We had over 1,100 registered attendees. 😳 If you missed it, we have a link at the bottom with some notes for how to skip to specific topics in the video. Anyway, here''s the most important thing you can possibly do right now... **Apply for the Paycheck Protection Program if your business or non-profit has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.** Why are we up in arms about this? Because if you are eligible, you can get a forgivable* government loan for 2.5x of your monthly payroll. If you use that money on payroll, rent, utilities for your business for the next 8 weeks, the loan can be forgiven*. (We built you a calculator to estimate how much you may qualify for here). We explain it all in our video (remember, at the bottom). If you don''t have time to watch it, and just need to know what to do right now, we can help. We built a tool for you and we launched a service. First the tool ... We made a web-based questionnaire wizard that will guide you through all the necessary questions and it will generate the official government application (filled with your information) that you need to submit. If you have more than one owner, this tool is essential because, well, this is the government, and their forms are complicated and not easy to understand to say the least. We have a nominal fee of $25 (per owner) for the tool and it comes with a checklist of all the documents you need to apply for this program. It could be the best $25 you ever spend. If you want to start your Paycheck Protection Program application right now, this is useful. Next, our new service... If you are the kind of person who doesn''t want to navigate these government forms alone, we are offering assistance plans to our clients. Our staff (you know, the ones you already know and love) can work with you directly to pursue these programs. (It''s like having a friend go with you to the DMV...sacrificial love like no other.) Our assistance plans start at $199 and go up depending on what you prefer. One very awesome part of our assistance program is how we can apply on your behalf for an emergency grant of $10,000 - that is forgivable if you use it to continue operations. These are crazy times. The Webinar That Explains All This StuffIf you missed our webinar, you can rewatch it here. Below you give you a cheat sheet below of some topics at their times. Some highlights... (Jump to these times in the video)1:21 - We give you some CYA language from our attorney. (We''re trying to help, so don''t sue us please). 3:20 - Congress passed something called the CARES Act. And it cost $2 trillion (sorry kids). $560 billion for individuals and $377 billion for businesses. 3:55 - Individuals are going to receive checks. $1,200 for most individuals and $500 per child (limits apply). 4:40 - Two options for small businesses. An economic injury disaster loan from the SBA. Also something called the PPP. 5:44 - PPP, or the Paycheck Protection Program overview. 6:29 - Who is eligible for PPP. 8:20 - What lenders are looking for and are not looking for. 10:27 - How much you are eligible to get (2.5x payroll) and how that is calculated. Then at 12:55 we talk about what you need to subtract from the calculations. 15:29 - How you can mess up the forgivable part of this money. 18:48 - What you should do this week if you are an event organizer. 21:27 - A sneak peek at our assistance program. 23:57 - Q&A by our super-smart CPA and Attorney. We cover lots of things there. Non-profits, independent contractors, filing requirements, and other good stuff. Phew... Sorry, we know you''ve received a couple of emails from us in the past week. We are only sending them because we really do feel these programs can help a lot of you. Feel free to reach out to us if we can help you with this or anything else you are doing. Best, Eric & John Co-Founder of Webconnex *Forgivable amount of loan has restrictions. We’re happy to chat about them. ![]()
