This tradition goes back to when the place opened as a "cheers'' to the place that previously occupied that spot on Manhattan Beach Blvd. So for all the month of November, they are $7, which is a bargain because the pack a wollop! Yes, it blows that it get dark so early without Daylight Savings Time but look at it this way - you can watch the sunsets over the ocean while having Happy Hour drinks! Just pick a spot with a view and, depending on the location, you can go an hour or even two past the time when the sun drops into the Pacific. Keep an eye out for that green flash!
