Hi Luke
The 2020 Cricket Playing Survey is now live!
This summer, as a game, we have had to be flexible and adapt, and we know many players have returned to a slightly different cricket experience than previous years.
The Cricket Playing survey is ECB''s number one opportunity to listen to the views of players and given the changes and sacrifices we have all had to make, more than ever we want to capture your views to identify what your cricket experience has looked like this year.
By sharing with us what you think, we''ll gain valuable feedback to ensure the voices of players continue to be heard and the game of cricket continues to evolve. We would like you to have Your Say.
The survey will take roughly 10 minutes and will genuinely help us to shape our response in working with our County Cricket Boards and Leagues to provide you with the cricket you want.
Thank you for taking the time to have your say!

End of season honours boards below!
Bad Light Stopped Play-Cricket? View in Browser Here
Hi Luke
This season, the cricket
community worked together during the COVID crisis to ensure that cricket could
be played by as many people as possible, once it was safe to do so and in
controlled environments. However, we know it remained a tough summer even once
cricket could return and that not everyone was able to get back to the game we
all love. We
hope that you, your friends and your family remained well during this time and
that you will be able find the opportunity to play next season.
2020 PLAY-CRICKET. ADULT LEAGUE CRICKET IN NUMBERS
In this summer like no other, on Play-Cricket we saw an amazing 26,337adult fixtures with 122,569 players taking the field. There was a good battle between bat and ball, with a total of 6.7 million runs scored at the cost of 357k wickets, including 170kcatches! We''re sure lots of personal bests were set along the way with 4.9k 5fers taken, 29k50s scored and 2.9kcenturies reached. We hope that you''ll have seen some of these on the honours boards!

The Return of Recreational Cricket
Bad Light Stopped Play-Cricket? View in Browser Here
Hi Luke
The Wait is OVER! We are delighted to let you know that following the latest UK Government announcements, recreational cricket can return in England from this weekend! Thank you for all your patience and to all those who have have helped cricket to return.
To make it as simple as possible, we have pulled out the top eight points that you must follow when playing cricket which you can read below. We have also provided a graphic to detail what you should do before, during and after playing here, and for those who wish to read the full guidance, you can do so here. Don''t forget that groups are limited to a maximum of 30 participants including coaches and officials.
You can read details on officiating guidance here.
Undergo a personal symptom check prior to matches - do not take part if you demonstrate COVID-19 symptoms
Use own equipment throughout where possible and clean bat when leaving field
of play
No sweat or saliva is to be applied to the ball at any time. Hands and the ball should be cleaned at all breaks in play and every 6 overs
Players to remain socially distanced at
all times
(Wicket keepers and slip fielders at 1m+)
Use of the clubhouse, changing rooms and toilers should adhere to the latest UK Government advice
Keep a record of all those in attendance
at each session, including
contact details
Social distancing should be maintained
during wicket
celebrations and drinks
breaks
Batters are to run in distinct marked running lines to ensure they are not within 2m of the bowler or other batter
If you are able to play next weekend, don''t forget to ensure you or your club admin has loaded your match stats into Play-Cricket so that we can send you your stats directly to your inbox in the coming weeks. As clubs and players around the country start to gain momentum again, we''ll begin with sharing a simplified version of weekly stats, but honours boards and MVP stats will return either later this year or next season.
Over the past four months, there have been so many people who have not only kept us safe and protected within their ''normal'' jobs, but have gone above and beyond to keep clubs running and support the return of cricket. We raise our bats to all of you and would encourage you to use the #raisethebat to recognise all those that have made this possible. Download an asset to use here, and share your photos, videos or stories of your first weekend back using the #raisethebat.
