Cupid starts chemotherapy
|
|
Just weeks ago, Cupid came to Pets Alive, the victim of abuse. Her leg wounds were so bad, she needs daily treatment by our veterinarian. Sadly, we also discovered she has lymphoma, a cancer of the white blood cells that is often fatal.
With your help however, we are treating her cancer and are hopeful for remission. Cupid''s lymphoma is classified as "B cell". It is not a guarantee, but with weekly chemotherapy treatments, there is a greater chance of remission than if her diagnosis came back as "T cell" lymphoma, which typically has a worse outcome.
Cupid got her first treatment at the end of last week and so far, she''s handling it like a champ! Her leg wounds continue to heal and she continues to get daily wet-dry de-briding treatments and weekly laser therapy as well.

Check out what George is up to!
|
|
Remember George, the little Yorkie puppy we rescued in late December, suffering from a heart condition?
He was initially diagnosed with pulmonary stenosis, a congenital heart defect involving the pulmonic valves. Further testing and a recent visit to a cardiologist however, revealed that in addition to stenosis, little George has several holes in the muscle surrounding the two sides of his heart. Due to this condition, it is too dangerous to do balloon surgery to correct the stenosis so surgery is no longer an option.
Ironically, the stenosis is actually helping him due to the way that his blood now flows between the heart chambers. He is currently on medication to control his condition. He is being closely monitored to ensure his condition does not worsen - and it''s possible that his condition will improve over time.
In the meantime, he''s in a foster home with one of our volunteers. He''s loving the companionship of humans - and dogs and cats in the foster home - and is enjoying life as a pup! George will be available for adoption once his condition becomes stable.
You helped make this possible through your donations and support. Thank you for helping George!

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)
Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
