Take part in PRSB survey about health and social care record sharing
Person Centred Software is engaged at various levels with NHS Digital and projects to drive the digital standards within the sector and we often represent care homes'' interests at discussions.
Two key projects we''re involved in are the eRedBag and the About Me. We have influenced the standards and NHS Digital commissioned the PRSB (Professional Records Standards Body) to consult on what should be included in the standard - and we have been part of the steering group for this.
As part of the consultation, the PRSB has launched a survey to capture feedback about the proposed standards. The survey spans the whole sector from patients, service users, relatives, carers, providers of health and social care.
The Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB) would like you to take part in a survey about information that should be shared between health and social care to improve and join up care for adults.
PRSB has published an easy read survey for the About Me section for people who may find the survey hard to read and prefer more images and less text. You can also find an About Me easy read factsheet, which may be helpful when completing the survey.
The survey will help NHS and social care services to develop standardised health and care records for adults that can be viewed on digital devices like laptops and tablets in health and care settings.
Your feedback will help the PRSB to determine the information that needs to be shared, and we want your opinions on the following areas:
- the information that people can share about themselves - ''About Me''
- the information that the local authority holds that would be useful for health and care professionals in providing care and support to people in hospital, at home or in a care home
- the information that care home staff can see when information is shared between health and social care services.
There is more detailed information available on the standards for people who would like to see it. This includes the full description of the standards, and links to the information models, which are under development. It is available here.
The survey is designed to be easy to complete on a mobile, laptop or desktop. It will ask you for a few details about yourself and your role, this is so PRSB can ensure you are directed to the right set of questions for you to answer.
The survey closes at 5pm, 17 July and should take around 15 minutes to complete.
