Only 3 weeks to Christmas! If you still have gifts to send via post or courier, don’t miss our Christmas last posting dates for UK and international deliveries.

For parcels that need to arrive in time for Christmas Day, the last day to book Parcelforce Express 48 for UK deliveries is the 19^th December for collection on the 20^th.  If you choose a drop-off service, we recommend you allow one extra day, just in case you miss the collection from the drop-off point. 

Last posting dates for international deliveries vary, depending on the destination and service, but as a guide, shipping deadlines for economy services to destinations like Australia, Asia, the USA, the Middle East and Europe, start from the 9^th December.

Our courier partners will be increasing their delivery capacity during this busy time, however, delays are still possible so don’t wait, send your parcels early and relax with the peace of mind that they will arrive in time.

It’s time to send those Christmas gifts! 

If you’ve still got Christmas gifts to send then don’t delay any longer. 

Parcel volumes are staggering this year and with only two weeks to go until the big day, Christmas gifts should be sent as soon as possible, especially if you’re posting abroad. 

If you’re sending gifts in the UK, please allow extra time for UK deliveries too. Royal Mail has already reported delays and while our courier partners have made every preparation possible to keep your parcels moving, the best thing you can do to help is to post your gifts early. 

So let’s all pull together one last time for 2020. If you still have a parcel to send, book your delivery now!

At Parcel Monkey, we understand that the ongoing fight against Coronavirus has not only impacted the way we go about our lives, but it has created uncertainty and concern about everyday tasks. A simple trip to the Post Office for example, may now be a risk you’re not willing to take.

If you have a parcel to send, we want to take this time to assure you that Parcel Monkey is operating as usual and we are following Government advice and working with our courier partners to ensure the safety of drivers and customers.

To make sending parcels a little easier during this time, here are our top tips for shipping during the COVID-19 Pandemic:

1. Stay home and book a courier collection. We have a range of collection services with Parcelforce, DHL and DPD, offering door to door delivery in the UK and internationally.
2. Use our courier quote tool to check service availability. We update this frequently based on constant communication with our courier partners.
3. With the advice to ‘stay home’, you might be tempted to have a house clear-out and sell some items on eBay or Gumtree. For local deliveries, CitySprint offer an affordable ‘man with a van’ style service to collect larger items and deliver them the same day.
4. Go ‘printer free’ – if you don’t have access to a printer, we offer several services where no printer is required.
5. If you’re self-isolating and expecting a delivery, leave a note on your door and the courier will leave it on the doorstep. You won’t need to sign for it, the driver will take a picture and sign on your behalf.

Can you catch Coronavirus from a parcel?

COVID-19 can survive on surfaces, however, The World Health Organization has stated: ‘the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is low.’ 

How can I minimise risk further?

If you are worried about receiving packages, there are several measures you can take to further minimise your risk: 

• Disinfect the parcel with an alcohol-based wipe before opening it
• Minimise your contact with the parcel
• Wash your hands thoroughly after opening
• Quickly discard empty packaging

Are you sending Christmas gifts by post this year?

If the answer is yes, then it’s time to get organised. You don’t need to be the smug one who had all your gifts wrapped by October (no one likes a show-off), but when it comes to posting Christmas gifts, a little planning can go a long way.
