As editor of The Catalyst, I've been struck this month by how many mainstream publications - from Forbes to The Guardian to The Washington Post - have been writing about the same subjects we do. Corporate sustainability, impact investing, humanitarian aid - it wasn't long ago that these crucial topics were seen as niche. Now, it's as if the world is waking up to the fact that governments, companies, investors, and communities must all work together to meet the challenges we face. A watershed moment may be upon us.

There's a new impact fund available for investors looking to have a positive impact while turning a profit. Palladium is proud to launch our first impact investment fund - the Palladium Impact Fund I.

I spent last week in New York City during the UN General Assembly, and while most global headlines have (rightfully) focused on the UN Climate Action Summit, each year the week is full of meetings and events designed to unite around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and spur the global community to action.

Palladium and many of our partners were out in force, focusing in particular on outcomes-based financing and innovative ways to help capital flow more quickly to where it's needed. The SDGs are a business imperative as much as a social one, and our CEO once described them as an entry point into discussions about global development for those who may have previously lacked the language to engage. Achieving these Global Goals will take nothing short of complete commitment from governments, businesses, investors, and communities, and Palladium is uniquely positioned to bring these groups together - using the SDGs as a framework and rallying cry.
