National Nurses Month
Dear Isabella,
When the WHO deemed 2020 as the Year of the Nurse & Midwife, no one could have imagined the impact nursing would have on the world this year. 2020 has revealed nursing to be the profession that combines the art and science of caring. As you go through your day, never forget the power you have as a nurse. You are a healer, caregiver, teacher, and advocate for those people who rely on you every day.
As our gift to you, we offer this
video as a reminder of the strength, courage and power you exhibit every day.
While science is used by many healthcare professions, it is the art of what we do as nurses that makes us unique.
On behalf of your nursing colleagues at Wolters Kluwer, Lippincott Solutions and Lippincott NursingCenter, we celebrate the "HeART of Nursing!"

That''s why our nursing practice must include proficiency in cultural competence, defined as the "continuous process of cultural awareness.

The second week of
National Nurses Month focused on Recognition. We work in so many different settings and within so many different specialty areas. All the work we do impacts patients, families, communities, and beyond. As we raise the visibility of our profession, let's educate those around us about our diverse roles and areas of focus.

A first episode of psychosis
One in five adults and one in six youths between the ages of 6 and 17 in the US face mental health disorders each year, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The family members and close friends of these patients number in the millions.
