Joint Letter on Remote ID Sent to FAA
The AMA has joined with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Experimental Aircraft Association, and Google’s sister company, Wing to send a letter urging the FAA to make essential changes to the proposed rule for Remote Identification (Remote ID) of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). These stakeholders represent a cross-section of the model aviation, general aviation, and commercial UAS sectors and share a concern that the current rule is too difficult for everyday hobbyists to comply with and alternatives are needed.
