Don''t forget, Young Audiences of Houston''s Apollo: To The Moon is still available through November 16, with curriculum guide, for teacher''s and parents to enjoy with their students!

H-E-B Presents: Stories in Sound: Peter & The Wolf by WindSync

WindSync presents Sergei Prokofiev’s classic Peter and the Wolf in this livestreamed performance from the historic Miller Outdoor Theatre stage. This is an incredible performance for children and adults alike!
Not only will the wind quintet play the beloved music for this favorite story, but they will also act as narrators and characters in this adaptation complete with costumes and choreography.
Audience members will learn how the wind instruments produce sound through an old-fashioned Texas hoedown, and the audience will perform, clapping rhythm patterns in a rousing finale.

Dance of Asian America presents “Contemporary World Festival” featuring talented DAA dancers as well as well as amazing dance companies showcasing a world of cultures and multiple dance genres.
Featured companies include: Revolve Dance Company, NobleMotion Dance Company, Ad Deum Dance Company, Infused Performing Arts, Creative Minds Collaborative, Texas Ballet Theatre, and HSPVA!
Amidst this pandemic, DAA is striving to bring the arts back into our communities, create opportunities for dancers, and lift our collective spirits!
Contemporary World Showcase is here to unite dancers of all ages, ethnicities, and dance styles to come together, and bring peace and healing to this world.

A.D. Player''s Amazing performance, presented by Young Audiences of Houston, is still available to watch!
Apollo: To the Moon, written by Mary Hall Surface, is an exciting look at the breathtaking risks and unforgettable heroism of the American Space program. Told through the lens of one young man’s dream to become an astronaut, this thrilling story takes you on the journey that gripped the nation.
Recommended for Grades: K-5, adults and teachers will enjoy learning along with the kids during this beautifully acted performance.

Young Audiences of Houston Education Connection:

Young Audiences of Houston is joining the Dream Streams Team with three virtual performances, along with curriculum guides for students, their parents, and teachers to learn and be entertained together.
Each performance will be available at 10:00 AM starting on their performance date, and will stream for a week on our Facebook Page, the Miller Event Page, and on our YouTube. Learn more about the performances, as well as download the curriculum guides below:

City of Houston Grants for Musicians
|
Mayor Sylvester Turner and Houston City Council announced a new relief program for musicians and music venues that have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The City of Houston''s Musicians and Music Venues Economic Relief Program is being funded with $3 million of the City''s allocated CARES Act 2020 funds.
Musicians will be eligible for up to $5,000 in relief funding, and music venues will be eligible for up to $50,000 or $100,000, depending on budget size.
