With a nod to its past, The Connaught Grill has returned - a modern interpretation of a true classic. Guests enter through a discreet rosewood clad corridor, lined with artwork by Louise Bourgeois and Le Corbusier and vintage wines from The Connaught cellar. This leads to John Heah's beautifully designed dining room, with bespoke black walnut booths by globally renowned George Nakashima Woodworkers. The Connaught Grill's kitchen is a culinary theatre where Chef Jean-Georges and his team bring fresh imagination to timeless dishes, with attention firmly placed on the provenance of ingredients. Sunday roast is presented and carved on the restored silver trolley from the original Grill, wild seabass en croute is a ceremonious pastry-enrobed showstopper, served tableside in true old-school Connaught style. Since it opened, we've been so happy to see so many of you reuniting and revelling in The Garden at The Berkeley. And now, we're forecasting an Indian Summer by extending the season to 27 September. There's a hint of the balmy Balearics here, as sparkling festoon lights draped across olive trees and the scent of shellfish charring over flames make this the hottest (and coolest) alfresco dining spot to enjoy summer. Giant prawns, padron peppers and prime steak line up on the Green Eggs - our feature grills. And for dessert, ice cream cones in pastel shades are a far cry from 'vanilla': think turmeric and ginger, confit strawberry and meringue, and pi?a colada.?retro,?refined.

You'll be able to step in (and out) in style, just as always. But we're introducing enhanced hygiene and safety measures focused on your wellbeing, safety and comfort - and driven by the latest Government, Public Health England and WHO?guidance.

You'll notice some enhancements straight away, such as electronic menus in our restaurants and bars, and personal amenity kits containing face masks, sanitiser and disinfectant wipes in your bedroom. The housekeeping programme will include Electric Static disinfectant spray guns which will be active in all communal areas. Others will be discreet and behind the scenes such as the thermal imaging cameras at The Berkeley's?entrances.

Perfectly timed for summer, our pop-up restaurant and bar The Garden at The Berkeley makes its debut on Saturday 4 July. Draped in lights, dotted with lanterns and dancing to an ambient beat, it's a leafy alfresco space that feels like a mini Mediterranean Island. The grill will be serving small plates and big flavours, while post-lockdown pick-me-ups come in the form of cool, colourful?cocktails.

This weekend will also see the return of The Collins Room and The Berkeley Bar and Terrace for food and drinks. We'll also be offering 24/7 in-room dining, for breakfast in bed through to midnight?feasts.
