Look Good Feel Better Sign Up Information

As restrictions are starting to lift, we thought it a good time to write and give you an update on the Look Good Feel services and our current plans.  As you know, our face to face hospital/cancer centre based Workshops were suspended at the end of March which meant all volunteering opportunities had to be put on hold.  We were desperately sad about this as there were so many lovely people like yourself who had signed up to learn more about what's involved with a view to organising a date for you to observe one of our Workshops. The good news is that we have just started to have some conversations with a number of our hospital/cancer centre partners regarding a return to smaller group Workshops.  These are venues that are able to meet strict safety requirements and currently this is only a small number, but we do expect it to grow over the coming few months.

However, due to the safety restrictions being put in place, we will only be able to have a limited number of people in the Workshop room.  The current plan is for up to 6 attendees and just one existing Look Good Feel Better volunteer demonstrating on themselves with no touch involved at all.  Very sadly this does not allow us to send new volunteers along to observe a Workshop which I am afraid means we will need to put your volunteer enquiry on hold a bit longer until we reach a time when more people will be allowed in the room again.   We know you will understand the need for this and we are truly sorry this prevents us from working with you for the time being.

In readiness for when we can move your volunteer application forward, we thought it might be useful for you to take our short e-learning module.  This is usually sent to new volunteers once a date to observe a Workshop has been agreed, but we thought this might be useful to set the scene for you ahead of that.  It will also enable you to ping over any questions you may have about the volunteering role and content of our Workshops before you get involved.  The module takes no more than about 10 minutes to complete and to gain access, please follow this link: www.lookgoodfeelbetter.co.uk/admin-lgfb/resources-and-training/
