Forgot to set a follow-up with someone? Here''s how to find those contacts again.

Filter your contact list to find anyone without a follow-up scheduled!

Building a relationship with a contact, client, prospect, or anyone you''re chatting with requires regular follow-ups. A CRM is great start to managing a contact''s information, but a key thing a CRM tool should also help you with is reminding you of when you need to follow up.?

But what if you forgot to set a follow-up task or event? The last thing you want is to have those contacts slip between the cracks. Just make use of the CRM''s filter tool to pull up all of those contacts in your pipeline (or elsewhere!) that don''t have a follow-up scheduled.?

This way, you can work through that list to make sure you''re not forgetting anyone. For managers, this is also a quick, easy way to make sure your team isn''t missing any important follow-ups!

While LACRM doesn''t integrate with any particular phone program, there are a number of VoIP systems ("Voice over Internet Protocol", i.e. internet phones) with click-to-call options that can work with LACRM.?

A VoIP phone with click-to-call features allows you to click on a phone number in LACRM, and dial out via your computer''s phone program. Do keep in mind that this doesn''t work if you have a physical phone that sits on your desk, unfortunately -- click-to-call works only with phone programs?installed?on your computer.?

Do you want to test our new and improved Mailchimp integration?

We spent most of this year rebuilding our Mailchimp integration from the ground up, and we''re just about ready to start testing it. The main improvement is that you''ll be able to sync LACRM "Groups" with Mailchimp "Tags". This allows you to keep all of your Mailchimp contacts in a single audience instead of splitting them between audiences.

If you''re interested in trying out the new approach to Mailchimp, just reply to this email letting us know, and we''ll send you an invite to test the new integration as soon as it''s ready!

CRM Tip: Use Chrome profiles to hop?between LACRM accounts easily

Keep multiple LACRM accounts open at the same time

Do you have multiple LACRM accounts that you log in to frequently? Maybe you have a personal CRM account, and one for work, or you work with two different companies and want to keep your data separate. Because LACRM is web-based, it means you can only be logged in to one CRM account at any given time.?

It can get pretty annoying to log out and log in to different accounts each time you need to find something, so one thing that can come in handy for you if you''re a Google Chrome user, is to use Chrome profiles.?

Chrome profiles let you have different settings (and logins) depending on which profile you launch. This can be useful if you have multiple accounts on other software too!?

Set up two-factor authentication on your LACRM account

Turn on 2FA on your account for an additional layer of security!

Security has been (and always will be) Less Annoying CRM''s highest priority. You trust us to protect your data, and we take this responsibility very seriously. This is why we''re excited to announce our new security feature: two-factor authentication.?

Two-factor authentication allows you to use your phone or email on top of your password to log in. This way, any malicious actor can''t gain unauthorized access to your data even if they have your password.?

For additional security, we recommend for all users to set up two-factor authentication on their account. If you log in to LACRM via Google, you won''t be able to set it up, since Google has their own two-factor authentication that you should be using!

(If you''re an account administrator, you can check to see if your users have turned on 2FA on their accounts via your Users page -- there will be a little padlock ???next to their names if so.)

Are you using the right custom fields?

LACRM now supports a whopping 7 different types of custom fields you can create to track whatever pieces of information you need (with more to come!). We''ve come a long way since our 1 custom field type last year, believe it or not!

But with great power, comes great responsibility, and choosing the right custom field for the type of information you''re trying to track might feel a little overwhelming. For example:

When is a dropdown list better than a checkbox list?
Is a text box the same as a text area?
What is a "Contact Link" field?
When should I set my date field to show up on the calendar??

If you''re confident about your answers to all four of the questions above, you''re probably a custom field expert (nice job!). If you''re in any way unsure, take a look at our overview below to see if you''re missing some custom field feature that you could be using.?

And if you think you''ve accidentally used the wrong custom field type for an old custom field, let us know -- we can help you convert your custom field type to one that suits you better!

Eunice from Less Annoying CRM here. I know you've already been trying out LACRM for a while now, but I just wanted to check in and make sure that you're getting everything you can out of it. Here are some tips to make sure you're taking advantage of all five key CRM benefits:

Never miss a follow-up - Our task and event features can ensure that nothing slips by you. We also send you an email each morning to remind you about your agenda for the day. If you're not getting those agenda emails, it probably means you're not scheduling follow-up reminders each day.
Improve customer happiness - Customers love when you remember little details from previous conversations. Every time you talk to a customer, enter a quick note in the CRM, and try to include minor details (like what their spouse's or kid's names are, their favorite sports teams, etc.). Then read up on those notes before your next meeting with the customer, and remember to mention those details. Customers love that personal touch.
Build a long-term asset - Using a CRM isn't just about improving your short-term productivity. When you're entering information, think about what might be relevant in years to come. After using a CRM for several years, you might find that your customer database is the most valuable asset you own.
Spend less time on busy work - I know it can seem like work entering all the data into LACRM, but it should remove the need for many other tools (spreadsheets, post-it notes, emails, etc.). If you find yourself using the CRM in addition to everything else you were already using, you might not be using the CRM to its full potential.
Increase sales - This one might sound obvious, but some people avoid our "pipeline" feature when they're first getting started. Adding customers into your lead pipeline is a great way to manage your sales process and make sure you're focusing on the right customers at the right time. You can also customize the pipeline if it doesn't fit your sales process.

Make and track calls with Simplii''s integration with LACRM

Here are all the VoIP systems that work with LACRM.

Simplii is a Google Chrome extension that allows you to click and call your LACRM contacts, and will also log calls and call recordings in your CRM notes. When an incoming call comes in, Simplii can pull up the contact for you, and let you enter call notes in directly -- which comes in handy if you''re taking calls throughout the day and want to be faster and more efficient at logging your notes!

From now through to the end of September 2020, Simplii is running a $10/user/month promotion for the first six months. Beyond that, their price will be $22/user/month moving forward. CRM Tip: Sync your appointment scheduler with LACRM

While Less Annoying CRM doesn't integrate directly with any scheduling tools, it is possible to connect a scheduler with LACRM through the Google calendar or Outlook calendar integrations.

Using Google or Outlook as a bridge between LACRM and your scheduler, you can manage your appointments with your customers and clients, and have that automatically block out all your calendars without having to cross-check each one every time!

LACRM''s new pricing for new users

Announcing LACRM''s new price from July 22 onwards.

Less Annoying CRM has never raised prices in our almost 11 year history. Our product has always cost $10/user/month, but we can't stay at that price forever. As such,?LACRM''s pricing will increase to $15/user/month or ?14/user/month for accounts created after July 22nd.

If you''re already a user now, this price increase will not affect you, and you''re locked in at the $10/user/month or ?7.50/user/month price indefinitely. This price increase will only affect accounts created after July 22nd, 2020.

If you''re not currently a user, and would like to lock in the $10/user/month pricing, you will need to sign up for a trial account before July 22nd, 2020.?

Your quick guide to managing your calendar

Groups in Less Annoying CRM are a quick and easy way to segment out your contacts based on any kind of attribute you want to categorize your contacts by. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your groups:

1. You can add imported contacts to group right after an import is done.
Just got a new list of leads from a conference? Import them into the CRM and add them all to a group! Forgot to do it when you ran the import a few months ago? You can also go back to a previous import to add that import batch into a group!

2. You can remove a set of contacts (or a whole other group) from a group.
The same way you can add contacts to a group in bulk, you can also?remove?a set of contacts from a group in bulk. Just check off those contacts'' names down the left on your Contacts list, and click ''Remove from a group'' at the bottom. This lets you remove these contacts from?any?group in the CRM!

3. If you''re using Mailchimp with LACRM, you can duplicate your groups to sync with Mailchimp.?
Because our sync with Mailchimp goes in both directions (i.e. a contact who unsubscribes in Mailchimp will be removed from the synced LACRM group), it can sometimes make more sense to sync a duplicate group with Mailchimp, instead of an existing group. This way, you can keep your grouped contacts consistent, even if they opt out of your emails.

4. You can always filter to see everyone in one group, two groups, both groups, or either groups.?
When you have lots of groups, contacts/companies can often fit into more than one group. With a combination of filters, you can pull up contacts who fit in any combination of those groups.?

5. On a multi-user account, your groups can be private (usable by just you), public (usable by everyone on the account), or shared with a team (usable by a team of users you create).?
Sometimes you have your own way of organizing your contacts (by priority? industry?) that not everyone on the team needs to share -- you can create your own private groups for that. And if your sales team in the CRM, for example, has their own way of organizing contacts, you can create groups that are usable by specific teams of users too!

Eunice from Less Annoying CRM here. Did you know that over half of all CRM installations fail? Seriously, it''s true. And the #1 reason why they fail? Poor adoption. CRMs don''t fail because they lack features, they fail because they''re so complicated and hard to use that people just give up.

At Less Annoying CRM, we have a saying: the best CRM is the one you''ll actually use. We tried to make a product that you''ll find easy and enjoyable, and now it''s up to you to actually use it. Here are a few tips to help make sure that you don''t end up with yet another failed CRM:

Make it a habit - For the next week, try making the CRM a part of your daily routine. Every time you talk to a customer, log in and enter a note about it. By the end of the week, you should already be able to notice it helping your business.
Keep all of your customer information in one place - During the first month it's easy to go back to your old tools (spreadsheets, post-it notes, etc.) but if you make an effort to keep everything in the CRM, it will end up being much more helpful and easier to use.
Think about the long term - When you're entering notes into the CRM, remember that you might need to read those years from now. You can delight your customers by remembering little details that are important to them, so make sure to enter that stuff in the CRM. Your future self will thank you.
Don''t be afraid to ask for help - I've helped hundreds of small businesses ensure that their CRM is a success, and I want to help you too. No question is too small or silly. Just ask!

I know that getting started with a new CRM can take a bit of work, but trust me, it's well worth it. You already know about all the ways a CRM can help your business, so now it's up to you to actually make sure you use it!

This week in LACRM updates: you can now import into any kind of field!?

We built new field types for our contacts a while ago (if you didn''t know that, you or your administrator can always create your own custom fields on your Custom Fields page). Now if you have a spreadsheet of data that needs to be imported into those fields, you can now import them via your Import page.?

Finally, if you have previously added data into a text field and now want to turn that field into a dropdown or checkbox list, let us know. We can convert those field types for you!

Less Annoying CRM''s calendar helps you stay on top of your tasks, appointments, upcoming follow-ups, and if you have team members, what your team is up to. It lets you collaborate with one another, and also organize your day. There are a whole host of tools associated with the calendar that you might not know about, so here are 7 important things to know about your LACRM calendar:?

1.?We sync up with both Google and Outlook calendars.
So if you already have your own Google and Outlook calendar, set them up to sync with LACRM so that you don''t have to enter data into multiple places.

Side note: if you use an online appointment scheduler, those can also link up to LACRM via Google/Outlook!

2.?Your calendar''s time zone, start day, and default event duration can be customized.
Does your work week start on a Wednesday? Set your calendar to match that!

3.?Create recurring, all-day, and multi-day events if you have appointments that repeat or will span the whole day.
These settings can be tweaked with every event that you create in the CRM.?

4.?Color-code your sub-calendars.
Want to have a personal and a work calendar separate? Want to be able to split your calendars up based on projects? Create and color-code your sub-calendars to organize both your tasks and events.?

5.?Show important dates on your calendar.
If there are contract renewal dates, anniversaries, or deadlines that you store on your contacts or pipelines, those can show up on your calendar as well (without requiring you to set up a task or event).?

6.?Set your team up with the right level of calendar access to other team members.
In order for someone to assign a task to another person, they need to have edit access to that other user''s calendars. So if you have an assistant or if your team regularly schedules tasks and events to one another, make sure they all have the correct permissions set up.?

7.?Manage your calendar notifications.
Getting too many reminder emails, or want even more reminders? Add or remove whatever you need. You can create as many reminders as you want per event, and if you have an important call coming up, set a combination of SMS and email reminders.

CRM Tips: Tidy up your database by clearing out old leads

Easily find out-of-date leads to clear them from your database.

It''s easy to let your CRM get overrun with every lead you''ve ever met -- regardless of whether anything came of the meeting. While it''s valuable to have the information of all the contacts you''ve connected with, more often than not, the clutter ends up making your CRM feel overwhelming. When you work with 20 leads at a time, seeing a database of 5000 contacts certainly doesn''t help you stay focused.?
