Starting 21 to 25 March we will be at Samoter: the Italian exhibition of machines for the construction world.

Earth moving, transport of materials from quarries and construction sites, concrete and reinforced concrete, drilling, crushing and tunneling. These are some of the sectors that you will find at the exhibition in Verona.

We are waiting for you at Samoter to discover IVG rubber hoses for construction and public works. Our ranges go from concrete to sandblasting and suction of abrasive products. There will be hoses specific for asphalting and those used in drilling machines.

Concrete pumping rubber hoses

Every operator in the world of concrete has different needs. There are those who prefer a robust hose and those who want it light and easy to handle. Those who don’t accept compromises on operating pressure and those who fear above all the whip effect.

We designed the most complete range of concrete pumping rubber hoses in the world to meet all needs. Products that last a long time in heavy-duty applications, such as placement, foundation consolidation, tunnelling and piling rigs.

Shannon 85: our historical hose, the best known, with 85 bar of working pressure and 200 burst. Its structure with steel plies guarantees maximum safety in use.

It is also available in the 100 and 150 bar versions, even more robust and resistant to high pressures.

Avon, the IVG hose that prevents the whip effect, absorbs shock and vibrations. Niagara 85, also for plaster. Amazonas, used only the end of the pump line. These are the IVG hoses with textile plies, the lightest and easiest to handle.

It was 2018 and we told you about safety thanks to the EN 45545-2, the standard that specifies the fire behaviour requirements of the materials used in trains.

It was September and we were on our way to Berlin to present our range of hoses at the Innotrans exhibition.

Two years later we cannot meet you at the fair since the 2020 edition has been postponed. But our R&D team did not stop and continued to take care about the safety of travelers and operators. Discover how.

After presenting the oxygen hose and the various versions developed, today a go into detail with the Welding Methane hose. The specific product for LPG, MPS, natural gas and methane:

Motor yachts, sailing boats, catamarans and dinghies are all about the sea, holidays and well-being.
In IVG they are also about technology, design, safety. For decades we have been making your navigation serene with our range of hoses for pleasure boating.

IVG Colbachini hoses are designed for boats that are less than 24 meters in length, both motor and sail. We have tested and certified them with international bodies (RINA, Lloyd''s, VTT) according to the regulations required by the sector. Applications vary:

Discover Essen hose

For applications in the metallurgical industries

Withstand high temperatures. This is the task of our Essen hose when it conveys cooling water in steel mills, foundries, glass industries and in any plant that works near heat sources. Produced with a vulcanized fiberglass cover, it is able to withstand radiant heat up to +530?C (+986?F) and splashes of incandescent metal. A high performing hose in use with excellent behavior under stressful conditions.

To meet all needs in the metallurgical sector we have developed different versions of the Essen line which are characterized by:

• different working pressures
• reinforcement with steel helix for suction operations
• insulating rubber compounds to meet specific electrical properties
• additional external layer with flame retardant properties according to ASTM C-542

IVG Colbachini production and shipping departments will suspend their activities from Monday August 3rd to Friday August 21st 2020 for the usual and necessary summer maintenance.

Rubber hoses for hot bitumen

For difficult and dangerous applications

The loading and unloading of hot bitumen from plants to tank trucks or for dock service requires strong and safe rubber hoses. This is why hoses must meet the standard EN 13482:2001. The hose structures are built with metal reinforcements and a steel helix wire. They withstand a maximum working pressure of 15 bar with a 6 to 1 safety factor.

Resistance to high temperatures is one of the fundamental characteristics of these products: +200?C for hoses used in bitumen plants (Class B) and + 175?C for use on docks (Class A).  A  wide range of diameters completes the offer to satisfy all sector needs.

The hoses are available in coils but also in service lengths with fittings at the ends: swaged on and complete with lifting hooks for the road transport of bitumen and vulcanized for onshore use. Our safety information regarding the use, handling and cleaning of these products are essential for such dangerous applications at high temperatures.

Italian Athletics Championships at the Colbachini Stadium 

In a year where even the Olympics were cancelled, the rebirth of Italian athletics begins in Padua. The 2020 Italian Championships will take place in the renovated Daciano Colbachini Stadium from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August. High quality competitions, 34 titles and the proclamation of the Italian champions in the multisport categories.

We are proud to collaborate with Assindustria Sport, the association that has been promoting sports in our city for 50 years. Over 600 members divided into different groups, from youth to senior master, and above all the organizational machine of international events such as the "Citt? di Padova" meeting and the Padova Marathon.

IVG hoses to convey oxygen

Maximum safety and stability in use

Oxygen is a precious gas also used in many industrial sectors, including the steel industry, metallurgy and glass manufacturing.

IVG has several products suitable to convey oxygen in a safe and reliable way. The main one is the Ossigeno ISO 3821, a single hose used for welding and oxyfuel operations.

Available in many diameters, it fully meets the ISO 3821 standard. It has a blue cover and high-strength textile reinforcements. The marking, according to the standard, clearly identifies the gas conveyed, the maximum working pressure of 20 bar, the diameter and the year of production.

Over the years we have developed alternative hoses for oxygen delivery based on specific market requests. Products with fiberglass layers vulcanized inside the structure to resist radiant heat up to +530?C, with self-extinguishing cover in accordance to ASTM C-542. Other versions have different parameters such as temperature and pressure.

The application is critical: we recommend carrying out at least periodic visual tests to check the integrity and good condition of the hoses.

Exploring new paths

We see these types of hose when we travel on roads and highways. They are the hot air rubber hoses installed on tank trucks for dry abrasive materials.

These hoses are essential, because the more they resist the hot air aggression, the more they can help to empty the tank quickly.

Our solutions are different because over time we have always listened to the needs of the operators. Today the latest addition is Truck Sahara PRO, a newly developed hose with rubber and structure for excellent service life at the right market price.

It is availabale in both versions, with and without internal spiral.

It withstands temperature peaks up to 240?C (464?F) and many European trucker are already using it.

These days our priority is more than ever before the safety of our employees, collaborators and partners, trying to maintain the best service quality.

The compliance with the latest restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 emergency requires us to temporarily suspend some activities. Therefore, our manufacturing departments must stop from March 30th to April 3rd.

Commercial, technical and administrative services remain operational at our usual email addresses and phone numbers.

We are always available to listen to new requests and to study effective responses for each project.

From April 14^th, the last Prime Minister Italian Decree has come into force, and it postponed the reopening of the companies in the rubber sector.

The new timing for the so-called PHASE 2, a gradual exit from the pandemic easing containment measures, as of today is Monday 4^th of May.

Supposedly within a few days the Italian rubber system should be back to normal.

Anyway, IVG Colbachini maintains the factory operational supplying its partners and distributors with the essential products.
