We are really going to miss physically being in Golden Gate Park with you this October. It's Hardly Strictly's 20th Anniversary, so this year, more than ever, it was critical for us to uphold the tradition of our event. We set out on a journey to "Let The Music Play On" to ensure that we can still support our beloved musicians through the festival and bring the healing power of music to audiences around the globe.

Curating our event to be filmed on location demanded a different approach for 2020. We went to great lengths to bring you something fresh and exciting: we didn't let the challenges of travel, quarantine, and safety protocols dampen our spirits. We will be sharing performances unlike anything you have seen during the Covid era. We hope that you will enjoy seeing the music we recorded in renowned venues like The Ryman Auditorium, The Continental Club, and the Great American Music Hall, as well as outdoor performances featuring the San Francisco, and Austin skylines. We're so delighted that we'll be able to bring you newly-recorded performances from the likes of Yola, Shakey Graves, Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Butch Hancock, Bonnie Raitt, Rhiannon Giddens, Boz Scaggs, Fantastic Negrito, Amythyst Kiah, Steve Earle and Emmylou Harris, along with many more.

Be sure to watch "Let The Music Play On", Hardly Strictly Bluegrass' journey to bring the music we all enjoy in Golden Gate Park each year to you in your living rooms and backyards. Tune in as we share new performances by our treasured regulars and welcome some first time artists to an HSB "stage" with footage from their hometowns and favorite venues. Don't miss our one-time broadcast on October 3, from 2-5pm PT, 5-8pm ET.

As part of the "Let the Music Play On" initiative, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is proud to announce a charitable partnership with Artist Relief, a fund created by a coalition of national arts organizations, to support musicians affected by the COVID-19 crisis. In this partnership, the festival has donated $1 million in immediate relief for musicians across the country and will work with Artist Relief to raise awareness and funds for musicians leading up to and during this year's festival.

In order to be adequately prepared we are all sound checking this Saturday, September 26. Take some time to think about how you are setting up your backyard or living room in advance. Dear HSB Fans-
