If you haven''t been to our cellar door lately you are in for a treat!  

As I''m sure you know, at Happs we like to do things a bit differently.  It should come as no surprise then that we are now offering the first open air tasting area in the region. 

The whole range of wines is on offer in our beautiful garden setting.  Relax and meander through your favorites or find something new in our unique self-guided tasting experience.  As always our friendly staff are here to guide you or answer any questions you have on your journey.

For those looking for a more intimate and focused tasting  experience we are offering flights in our indoor cellar door.  This week we are offering a museum tasting of the Charles Andreas including 6 wines going back to 1999!  Come down and check out these delicious, meticulously cellared wines alongside our current release, which just received 96 Halliday points. 

 This offering will be changed regularly so we always have something new and interesting to tempt you with.  Next up . . . a world tour of Malbec.   After that? You''ll have to wait and see!  

Dunsborough School of Ballet Presents The Nutcracker at Happs Winery Saturday 12 December.

Join us under the stars at Happs on Saturday 12 December for a Christmas Classic, The Nutcracker. Performed by ballet companies at Christmas all over the world this is a ballet appealing to both young and old. The well known musical score of Tchaikovsky transports us on a magical journey in this retelling of the classic ballet story adapted for the students of Dusnborough School of Ballet.  

The event is BYO picnic with wine and beer available for purchase on the night (no BYO alcohol). Please bring your own picnic blanket and some warm clothing, as in past years the evening has been quite chilly.

Gates open at 5pm.  Performance from 6:30 to 9:00.

Tickets; Adults $20, Children $10, Under 3 free

Every year we offer our loyal customers the opportunity to purchase some wonderful festive season wine packs to enjoy with friends and family.

We''d like to introduce you to Stacey Lewis.  Stacey has recently joined us to oversee all things sales, marketing and events.

Stacey hails from Canada where she studied Wine Biochemistry.  She has worked in the wine industry for 15 years in a range of roles including winemaking, sales, and distribution in Europe, North America and Australia. 

Stacey loves the pioneering spirit and artisanal approach at Happs and she is very excited to be a part of the team!

The Moscato is back!!

And its been worth the wait! The 2020 Moscato has a perfume-like intensity unmatched by other varieties. Think rose water and musk stick, ripe peach, nectarine and a hint of Turkish delight.  On the palate it is soft and delicate with refreshing acidity balanced by intense fruit flavours. Berry fruit and floral characters are complimented by a slight spritz.

No one would have believed at the start of the 2020 growing season we''d be in the situation we''re in right now. However, it is during challenging times like these that we look for a silver lining, and the silver lining for the Margaret River region is the exceptional vintage we have just wrapped up. 
Our Three Hills vineyard manager, Andy Coventry, has taken the time to pen his thoughts on the 2020 season; the growing conditions, his wonderful vineyard crew and how they got through the last few challenging weeks together. 
Although the 2020 vintage will be known as the time the global pandemic hit, it will also be a year remembered for producing wines of exceptional quality.
