In our Australian Made series, we'll take you behind the scenes for a sneak peek at how our signature Triple Scented Soy Candles are made from start to finish. We begin the candle-making process by formulating a new fragrance in partnership with some of the world's leading fragrance houses.
Each unique GLASSHOUSE FRAGRANCES scent starts with an inspiration of some kind; a holiday, a memory, a bolt of incredible fabric, even a feeling.
From there, we work with a team of skilled perfumers to turn these ideas into "juice" or pure fragrance, which is eventually handed over to our laboratory team. This is a nuanced and complex process that can take a year or more to bring to life.
We then begin the process of developing fragrance into a candle. Each goes through an exacting series of tests and refinements at our in-house lab before it is approved for production with our team of on-site candle makers.

In our Australian Made series, we'll take you behind the scenes for a sneak peek at how our signature Triple Scented Soy Candles are made from start to finish. After passing through the hands of our perfumers, and our in-house laboratory, new fragrances reach our team of candle makers.
Together, they produce thousands of candles each year which are all made from our headquarters in Sydney. All our candles are made by hand and have been carefully considered by our experts'' touch.
We use cotton wicks in all of our candles - a natural fibre that is the superior choice of wick for candles and whose highly absorbent qualities encourage a clean and even burn.
The wicks are positioned by hand, and then our proprietary wax and fragrance blend is hand-poured into our signature glass vessels.
This manual candle-making process takes time, but ensures a high standard of quality and consistency.
Before boxing, we trim all of our GLASSHOUSE FRAGRANCES candle wicks by hand to an exact 7mm. This measurement ensures an optimal fuel to consumption ratio which results in a controlled flame, steady burn and optimal burn time.
Each candle is then individually inspected and hand-polished during the packaging process to ensure our exacting quality standards are met every time.
They're then hand-boxed in our signature soft-touch candle boxes before being shipped to our customers all around Australia and New Zealand from Rydalmere, Sydney.
