Hi,

As you already know, the InfiniteWP Client plugin had an authentication security issue that was identified and reported by the team at WebARX Security on Jan 7th.

We immediately fixed it and released a patch the very next day on the 8th of Jan and sent an in-app update and an email out. Your Privacy and Security are at the core of what we do.

I cannot emphasize strongly enough how important it is to update plugins as soon as they are released. Being an open-source platform, it is in the nature of WordPress to be vulnerable and malicious actors are actively looking to wreak havoc.

We are currently reviewing the complete code base for any other security issues and also investigating how the insecure piece of code came to be in the first place. We are also introducing new practices to make sure all our new code goes through a new secure authentication test before being deployed and an auto-updating mechanism to avoid delays in applying security fixes.

Again, I am incredibly sorry for the security issue and I'll ensure this never happens again.

If you have not updated your client plugin to v1.9.4.5 yet, please UPDATE IT IMMEDIATELY. If you have already updated, you don't have to do anything more.
