When we think of gas analysis and control, we rightly think of all the many different types of analysers, instruments, valves and related equipment that keep our products pure and our applications and people safe. Yet amidst all of the talk of hot topics, growth markets and new applications, how often do we think about the demands these drive in analysis and control?
Perhaps we do so more than we might realise, but here in this July 2020 issue of gasworld magazine we do exactly that - we shine the spotlight on the trends and technologies making waves in gas analysis and control today, all in one place. And we find straight away that there are a trio of trends in instrumentation.
All good things come in threes, writes Stephen B. Harrison, with digital solutions, innovative services and step-changes in hardware teaming up to transform the world of gas analysis instrumentation. Read more about these trends, below. We also explore trends in gas analysis for the modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) market, as well as how process control at the steam methane reformer (SMR) can maximise hydrogen production and why gas analysis instrumentation is mission critical to our exploration and understanding of other planets too. Furthermore, look out for short interviews with Consci, VSL and VICI this month. Read all of our insights online, by following the links below or visiting the gasworld website at www.gasworld.com
