Hello friends,
This year Gab endured one of the most coordinated takedown attempts in internet history and today we are still standing and stronger than ever because of it.
We spent an entire year without debit/credit card processing, relying solely on checks by PO box and bitcoin to process payments. Many of you stepped up and made it happen, we are very thankful for it. We were continually no-platformed in 2019 by hosting providers, email providers, banks, and other infrastructure. Every time this happened we had to drop everything and build our own solution in order for Gab to continue operating.
Despite all of these challenges we were still able to accomplish so much with very little in 2019:
-The Dissenter Web Browser- blocks Big Tech ads and tracks, allows you to comment on any URL on the internet
-A totally redesigned, open source, and decentralized Gab Social launched in July.
-Gab Trends launched as a Drudge report alternative with crowdsourced, people-powered news aggregation.
-Infrastructure that is ours and cannot be no-platformed including email, business tools, and more.
Our plan for 2020 is to continue building the Gab ecosystem.
Gab is no longer the Twitter alternative. It has evolved into the Silicon Valley alternative. Here's some of the things we are working on right now:
-Gab Chat: an encrypted chat messaging system
-The Gab HYDRA infrastructure: a scalable backend infrastructure for Gab social that will empower anyone to create their own social network.
-Gab Search: a search engine built into GabTrends to discover news, information, and more.

Gab Chat is an encrypted chat and messaging service.
Gab Chat will feature:

-global chat rooms maintained by Gab across a variety of topics, which anyone can join

Today Gab is pleased to announce the release of the beta version of our encrypted messaging service: Gab Chat. Gab Chat has public interest-based chat rooms along with private encrypted group chats and private messages. Unlike Big Tech, Gab cares about your privacy. We can't read your private encypted chats.
Facebook Messenger is not encrypted by default.
Twitter DMs are not encrypted.
Slack is not encrypred.
Telegram is not encrypted by default.
Discord messages are not encrypted.
Which means: any engineer at these companies can access your "private" messages and read them.
With Gab Chat you don't need to worry about this. We can't read your encrypred chat messages, even if we wanted to. Better yet, our code is fully open source unlike any of the chat messengers mentioned above. That means any engineers can inspect our code and see how it works.
Attorney General Bob Barr is an opponent of strong cryptography such as that used by Gab Chat. He wants tech companies to backdoor, or compromise, our services so law enforcement can access the content of encrypted communications data. The issue, of course, is that the only encryption worth placing on private communications is that which tech companies themselves cannot break, as we do.
Privacy is an important aspect of free speech and one that is protected by the First, Fourth, Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments to the US Constitution. We consider it part of our mission to expand privacy rights around the world.
As drafted, the Barr-backed proposal – known as the EARN IT Act – would destroy privacy online by making Section 230 conditional on adhering to the governance recommendations of a federal commission. This would force tech companies to make a very uncomfortable, nearly impossible, choice: either compromise the security of all our users by denying them the encryption they need to stay safe online, or get crushed into oblivion by vexatious lawsuits filed by every person who doesn’t like something someone else said online using our platforms.
Apart from being an unconstitutional infringement of the First Amendment rights of tech companies and their users, this proposed law will destroy the US tech industry, or drive it offshore, if passed. The bill should therefore be scrapped, and Americans’ rights should be respected.

Political advertising online has become a hot topic issue for the 2020 Presidential election. Twitter recently announced that they will no longer allow political advertising on their site at all. Google quickly followed and announced their crackdown on political advertising. Facebook is facing tremendous pressure to do the same.
Facebook, Twitter, and Google are also censoring and no-platforming populist candidates for political office on both the left and right around the world. Take Laura Loomer for example, who has been banned and no-platformed from Facebook, Twitter, and even Uber.
Despite this dystopian reality, Laura’s campaign is proving to be wildly successful in fundraising efforts by out-raising her opponent for two consecutive quarters. The Daily Beast, a far-left blog, even nervously reported this week that Loomer “could actually get to Congress.” Laura has been able to do this largely because she still has a voice on Gab and also because she has a direct connection with her supporters through email marketing.
The elites realize that online advertising is empowering anti-establishment populists and their supporters to break through the narrative control of the mainstream media. This isn’t only happening in the United States, but also around the world. Take the VOX political party in Spain for example, which is facing tremendous censorship from Big Tech. Spain is now one of Gab’s fastest growing markets because of this censorship.

I deactivated Gab's Twitter account today.
My goal is to lead by example and encourage others to do the same thing.
Our Twitter account has been severely shadowbanned for a long time. Gab's internal data showed that running the account had largely become a waste. We don't need Twitter and neither do you. Gab's community has hit critical mass with millions of people from around the world speaking freely away from the tyranny of Silicon Valley.
The time to break free from Big Tech mind prisons is now.
Twitter is incredibly toxic. You find yourself feeling disgusted and angry all the time being on that website because it is filled with so many lost and confused souls lashing out into the void. There are plenty of studies which show that Twitter is an echo chamber and a recent study conducted by independent academics shows that Gab is not.
There is no "battle" to be fought on Twitter. This is a lie that Twitter sold to you and data from numerous studies is clear on this fact.
If you are on Twitter you are creating content and generating revenue for a company that sells you as a product, hates America, and hates freedom.
All of the best accounts have been banned from Twitter and are already on Gab. The content I see on Gab everyday is refreshing. It gives me hope and reminds me that I'm not alone. It inspires me, challenges my thinking, and renews my faith in humanity.
What remains on Twitter are "woke" corporate brands, dopey celebrities, communist "journalists," and a mob of mentally ill people.
Why would anyone want to spend their time with people like this? I certainly don't.
I'm looking forward to spending my time with my wife and daughter, reading more books, writing, and creating all of my best content exclusively for the Gab community.

Today Business Insider reached out to me and several others about QAnon. They are working on a major hit piece attacking everyone and anyone connected to the community of millions of great patriots who are seeking the truth outside of legacy media narratives.

Thank you for reaching out to me for comment. I'm writing a story in response to your upcoming story and will be publishing it immediately on the Media Transparency section of the Gab News blog, which is emailed to millions of people daily. Your request along with my response below will be included, as is standard with all of Gab's engagements with the legacy press.
Gab has had members of the QAnon community on our platform for several years now, but to be honest I never paid much attention to them because they have always been respectful people who follow Gab's user guidelines and US law.
My attention was immediately drawn to them once the legacy press started to smear the QAnon community and especially after Silicon Valley platforms censored and deplatformed groups, individuals, and networks of people who even mention Q or any of the various important topics that the community researches and discusses.
I can't say that I've ever seen any "conspiracy theories" from the QAnon community. In fact, I've seen a refreshing and objective flow of information being surfaced by a decentralized community of millions of people who are researching and reporting on news that so-called "journalists" refuse to cover.
The oligarchs in power are most certainly wicked and corrupt people by any measure of morality, but the Epstein saga over the past few years has revealed the depth of this wickedness to general public and the QAnon community played a big role in distributing that information to the masses. I'm not sure how this can be considered a "conspiracy theory" when it has been widely reported, even begrudgingly, by the legacy press.
Perhaps it is you who are the conspiracy theorists.
After all, the legacy media has propagated endless conspiracy theories over the years including the "weapons of mass destruction hoax" and the "Russian hoax" that is still peddled to this day.
As a Christian I believe that sunlight is the best disinfectant for evil. It seems to me that the legacy press, in coordination with Silicon Valley tech platforms, are working to sweep the wickedness of people like Epstein and those associated with him under the rug through the use of censorship, coordinated smear campaigns, and by destroying the lives of decent people who are seeking the truth.
The QAnon community is much bigger than an alleged anonymous government insider making posts on an image board. That part may or may not be true, but I don't think it really matters either way.
The QAnon community has less to do with Q and more to do with a decentralized new media network that surfaces, distributes, and fact checks information in real time. It is self-correcting, self-editorializing, and most importantly: it can't be stopped.
You can deplatform these people from legacy tech platforms and call them "racists" and "conspiracy theorists" in the legacy media, but nothing can stop what has already been started and it will only continue to grow.
One big reason the legacy media is smearing the QAnon community is because these folks are in direct competition with the legacy media's power structure and control over the flow of information and news.
The other reason is because many in the QAnon community are Christian and Q often shares Christian themes. The QAnon community is organizing and uniting Christians across all denominations of the faith in their search for real news and information about the corrupt and wicked people in power.
I don't believe it is a coincidence that the deplatforming and coordinated smear campaign of the QAnon community started shortly after Q posted a letter from archbishop Carlo Maria Vigan? on June 29th, 2020 which was followed by the posting of a prayer mentioning Jesus by name as Lord on September 20th, 2020.
Ultimately what the anti-Christian legacy press and the wicked oligarchs in power fear the most is Christians coordinating and unifying on the internet. When this happens they know that their evil will be exposed and their names will be named outside of the oligarch-controlled media and technology echo chambers. It''s the same reason they are working so hard to keep us out of our churches with these bogus lockdowns.
From my perspective The Great Awakening is about millions of people waking up to the lies they have been fed by their governments, the legacy media, the entertainment industry, Big Tech companies, the education system, and more for over a century.
Based on what I have observed for the past several months, the core philosophy of the QAnon community is to be inherently skeptical of what legacy media elites report, conduct your own research, and share the truth far and wide.
I see nothing wrong with this and we gladly welcome it on Gab.com.

The Justice Department asked Congress today to adopt a new law that would water down Section 230 of the CDA, a cornerstone for protecting free speech online. This is a horrible idea and will inevitably harm alternative technology startups like Gab in the long run while solidifying Big Tech''s control over the flow of information online. This is precisely why both establishment Democrats and Republicans are pushing for this effort together. There is very little that the left and right agree on these days, yet they both seem to agree on destroying Section 230 in order to retain their control over the narrative online.
In a free country a corporation should be free to be biased. For example Apple censors music to comply with Chinese Communists. Twitter lets Pakistan tell it what users around the world, including Americans, can and can't say. Gab is biased towards American law and freedom.
Section 230 says nothing about political neutrality, and for good reason. Who defines "neutrality" and better yet who enforces it? Any proposal to add a "neutrality" clause to Section 230 would be unconstitutional. It would require the government to police the speech of corporations and infringe on their first amendment rights.
Section 230 protects technology companies, including Gab, from being held liable for the speech others. It does NOT prevent them from exercising their own free speech rights, nor should it. The text of Section 230 is very clear: companies that act in good faith to remove content that they themselves find "objectionable" or that their users find "objectionable" whether or not that content is constitutionally protected, are shielded from being held liable for the speech of their users.
When Big Tech platforms "fact-check" posts or "editorialize" content Section 230 does not apply to that speech. That speech is them speaking, not a user. Section 230 does not prevent them from being held liable for their own speech.
Meaning if they defame someone using their speech legal action can be taken against them. If someone else defames a person on their platform, Section 230 protects the technology company from being held liable for the speech of that other person. This isn't complicate if you read the text. Many of you may not like the way that Big Tech is exercising their free speech. I know I don't. Which is why we started Gab back in 2016 as an alternative to Big Tech tyranny.
If you don't like what Big Tech has to say, if you don't like their "Community Guidelines," and if you don't like their moderation choices the solution is to get on Gab.com and other alternative technology platforms that support and share your values. Period.
Gab is thriving because we don't patrol legal speech which is protected by American speech laws, particularly the first amendment and rulings on it. Gab is a threat because we violate the unspoken rule, shared by all big tech companies, media elites, and members of Congress, that every user of the Internet must be subject to aggressive content moderation, which in our experience, users hate.
From our standpoint, the mobile app ecosystems are the biggest choke point, particularly with Apple which does not permit iPhone users to direct-download third party applications to their phones. Apple and Google have an unquestionable duopoly on mobile app distribution with 98% marketshare. This where the DOJ''s focus should be.
We believe the big tech companies have sufficiently close connections between them that they can and do collude to remove competitors. Gab is the perfect example of this abuse of market power in action, being banned by both Apple and Google app stores for refusing to censor "offensive" speech. Of course anyone who has ever visited Twitter, Facebook, or Reddit knows that there is plenty of "offensive" speech on those websites, yet they are allowed to remain on both app stores due to their close partnerships with Apple and Google.
Apple should lose its stranglehold over what apps users can download on iPhones, Google should be broken up, and the individual corporate officers responsible for these anticompetitive practices should be individually punished.
Google is a vast repository of private information and we believe that their App Store dominance is only one small part of their anticompetitive activity across the wider economy - which includes dominance over SEO, advertising and the flow of dollars to online publishers, as evidenced by a recent $1.7 billion antitrust fine levied against Google by European regulators.
We believe that an antitrust investigation of these companies will reveal all manner of anticompetitive conduct in areas as diverse as search ranking, advertising, mobile app distribution, browser bundling, and even browser performance.
If the Republicans, President Trump, and the DOJ want to stop Big Tech bias, watering down Section 230 of the CDA is not the answer. Taking antitrust action against the anticompetitive and monopolistic behavior of Silicon Valley while joining and supporting alternative technology platforms like Gab.com and others is.

Thankfully I'm an adult and I don't need to dox, censor, threaten, attack, or ruin people's lives for mocking my race, social status, or even my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the King of Kings and Lord of Lords on the internet.
Amazing how that works, right?
Gab seeks to export the uniquely American and Christian value of liberty to the entire world.
Regardless of whether Gab's administrators, outside activist pressure groups, "cancel culture" Internet mobs, the mainstream media (i.e. people like you,) foreign governments, or any other persons agree with any Gabber's viewpoints: political speech that is protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution will be allowed on the platform. Illegal activity, threats of violence, doxxing, pornography, child exploitation, and spam are not allowed on Gab.
Part of having millions of users create and share content is that something somewhere is going to offend someone somewhere. Part of being an adult is learning how to use the block button or continue scrolling.
If you don't like something on Gab, you don't have to view it. If you don't like someone on Gab, you don't have to associate with them. If you see something illegal happening report it using Gab's reporting system and we will take appropriate action.
That's how the real world works and it's how Gab works too.
We provide a viewpoint neutral communication platform. It's not Gab's job to "fact check" or remove politically incorrect opinions, news, history, math problems, memes, jokes, satire, or anything else.
As a Christian I believe that sunlight is the best disinfectant for evil. By allowing people to speak freely we can shine a light on darkness and lift people up instead of trying to destroy their lives for having a politically incorrect opinion or sharing an "edgy" meme on the internet.

Yesterday the New York Times reached out to me for a comment on Gab's recent growth. I've never had any luck with getting the New York Times to describe Gab accurately or fairly over the years, so I opted to use my new standard reply for all dishonest and corrupt media publications: "Jesus is King, speak freely on Gab.com."
If they are going to print something with my name attached to it, at a minimum it will be glorifying to Christ and promoting Gab at the same time so that readers can visit the site for themselves and make their own judgements.
Predictably the New York Times referred to Gab as a "haven for racist memes and content," but to my surprise they did indeed print my comment of "Jesus is King, speak freely on Gab.com" and even linked to my recent blog post about Gab's explosive growth. USA Today also called Gab a "repository of toxic content" this week, which added more fuel to our fire and provided free advertising to promote our growing community.
These descriptions and false framing of the Gab community could not be further from the truth. At the time of publication, the post below was one of the top trending posts on the website the New York Times calls a "haven for racist memes and content." (As if Twitter and Facebook don't match that description?)
If Mike Isaac, the journalist from the New York Times who wrote the piece, had actually visited the site before writing hyperbolic nonsense he would have seen this post trending on the front page of Gab and the hundreds of kind, welcoming comments from our community.
The mainstream media tells the world that Gab is home to "racists and extremists." Wikipedia repeats this lie. Many mainstream conservative "celebrities" repeat this lie behind the scenes. None of these things matter though, because when people actually visit Gab for themselves they meet Christian patriots like Sharona who are welcomed with open arms by our community.
Journalists lose credibility when they write things like this because when reasonable readers come to Gab they quickly realize that the mainstream media narrative frame about us is merely a figment of the corrupt journalist's imagination.
It's really a shame because Mike Isaac is a wonderful writer (I have his book) and I believe he genuinely tries to do a decent job of being more objective than most. Perhaps he doesn't care about his credibility in front of the 73 million deplorable plebs like us in this country, but I hope he does try to be better for the sake of his integrity and writing.
There's something really special happening in media right now and I don't know if people like Mike Isaac can see it clearly through the dense fog of their media elite echo chamber.
The People yearn for the free flow of information, for authenticity, and for truth.
We The People will no longer submit to any "authority" when it comes to information and news: be it from celebrities, media personalities, Big Tech companies, or corporate media journalists. A radical transition akin to the industrial revolution but for media is underway. This revolution in media is not just against mainstream and traditional media outlets that lean left, but rather against the entire corrupt system of liars and dishonest frauds as a whole.
We are only now witnessing the start of this revolution unfold with the recent backlash against Fox News by their core audience and the exodus from Big Tech platforms to alt tech platforms in wake of mass censorship and election interference from Silicon Valley.
The rubicon has been crossed, and there's no turning back.

The era of centralized control over the flow of information online is finished. We The People are the news now. They can call us "extremists," "racists" and "conspiracy theorists" all they want, but that's only causing our movement to grow stronger. If you want to know who is radicalizing and dividing people: look around the offices of the New York Times.
A New Beginning
Gab is the dawn of a new era in media. An era where information is not dictated to the masses by a handful of elites, but rather crowdsourced, curated, fact-checked and distributed by millions of people to millions of other people in real time.
After Trump was elected Silicon Valley, politicians, and media elites realized the magnitude of this shift which is why they are trying desperately to put the genie back in the bottle and stop new media platforms like Gab from rising. This tactic won't work, it hasn't worked for the four years they been using it against us, and it will only continue pushing millions of people to places like Gab where information flows freely.

At 8:38pm on Wednesday December 9th Gab received an email from Walden Macht & Haran LLP notifying us of a Gab account, @EnemiesOfThePeople, that was in breach of our Terms of Service.
The Gab account was created just a few days ago and featured the personal addresses, photos, and more of election and government officials, which is against our terms of service. The account also made direct threats of violence towards these individuals, which is against the law as well as our terms of service.
This type of content has no place on Gab and we have a longstanding history of zero tolerance for illegal behavior. At Gab we believe that free speech and open discussion are the best ways to solve problems and disagreements, not violence.
Within minutes of receiving the email alerting us to the existence of this account we took immediate action by backing up the account information for law enforcement and then terminating the account from our service.
We took it one step further by alerting the Gab community to this behavior and noted that our community members should report this type of illegal activity to our moderation team immediately if they come across it.
At 9:34pm, less than an hour after being alerted to the existence of this account, our attorney replied to Walden Macht & Haran LLP to let them know that we took immediate action to terminate the account.
At 3:49pm Thursday afternoon Reuters published an article covering this story and neglected to reach out to Gab for comment before publication. In the story Reuters falsely claimed that the account remained active on Gab even though it had been suspended within minutes of it being brought to our attention the night before.
We have since sent the following retraction request to the editor of Reuters as well as the three "journalists" on the story. We believe it's important to transparently lay out the order of events here to highlight how "journalists" recklessly print whatever they want without fact checking or asking the subject of a story for comment on the matter at hand.

Today was a historic day for the Gab community.
After Twitter "fact-checked" President Trump''s tweets, the President sent out a series of messages highlighting the ongoing issues of Big Tech censorship throughout the day. He now plans to take action via executive order. Tens of thousands of Gab users returned to the site today and over 1,000 new users are now signing up every hour to join the millions of Gabbers in our community from around the world. Gab also recently overhauled our user interface to be faster, more modern, and much more user-friendly.

According to reports the White House has a drafted an executive order to address social media censorship by targeting Section 230 of the CDA. This is bad, very bad. It's easy to get excited that action is finally being taken against the Silicon Valley oligarchs, but this isn't the right solution.
Section 230 protects American companies from foreign authorities with far less liberal speech regimes than our own. Using executive power to water down Section 230 is a horrible idea and will inevitably harm alternative technology startups like Gab in the long run.
Removing immunity from a publishing platform, like Gab or Twitter, would result in worse outcomes for free speech than simply doing nothing and letting the market sort things out. In fact, it would only likely lead to regulatory capture for Big Tech making them even more powerful. As a philosophical matter: in the United States the government has no business patrolling anyone's biases and thoughts, whether they be individuals at a protest or individuals working together as a corporation.
In a free country a corporation should be free to be biased. Apple censors music to comply with Chinese Communists. Twitter lets Pakistan tell it what users around the world, including Americans, can and can't say.
Gab is biased towards American law and freedom.
Gab is thriving because we don't patrol legal speech which is protected by American speech laws, particularly the first amendment and rulings on it. Gab is a threat because we violate the unspoken rule, shared by all big tech companies, that every user of the Internet must be subject to aggressive content moderation, which in our experience, users hate.
From our standpoint, the mobile app ecosystems are the biggest choke point, particularly with Apple which does not permit iPhone users to direct-download third party applications to their phones. Apple and Google have an unquestionable duopoly on mobile app distribution with 98% marketshare.
We believe the big tech companies have sufficiently close connections between them that they can and do collude to remove competitors. Gab is the perfect example of this abuse of market power in action, being banned by both Apple and Google app stores for refusing to censor "offensive" speech. Of course anyone who has ever visited Twitter, Facebook, or Reddit knows that there is plenty of "offensive" speech on those websites, yet they are allowed to remain on both app stores.
Apple should lose its stranglehold over what apps users can download on iPhones, Google should be broken up, and the individual corporate officers responsible for these anticompetitive practices should be individually punished.
Google is a vast repository of private information and we believe that their App Store dominance is only one small part of their anticompetitive activity across the wider economy - which includes dominance over SEO, advertising and the flow of dollars to online publishers, as evidenced by a recent $1.7 billion antitrust fine levied against Google by European regulators.
We believe that an antitrust investigation of these companies will reveal all manner of anticompetitive conduct in areas as diverse as search ranking, advertising, mobile app distribution, browser bundling, and even browser performance.
Otherwise if the Republicans and President Trump want to stop Big Tech bias, watering down Section 230 of the CDA is not the answer. Taking antitrust action against the anticompetitive and monopolistic behavior of Silicon Valley while joining and supporting alternative technology platforms like Gab.com and others is.

Last week I wrote about the unification of the American Populist movement and posited that God should be the center of the movement as the Creator that unites us. I've been obsessively thinking about unity lately, something that this country and indeed entire The Western world lacks.
In thinking about the question of what unites us, I naturally came to a proceeding question: what, exactly, is the American Populist movement fighting for? More importantly: what are we not fighting for? In order to fight, we must have things worth fighting for that unite us in our struggle against the establishment oligarchs in power.
Think of the Stonk Market!
We're not fighting for the stock market or for the rigged crony capitalist system of the oligarchs. I'm a supporter of real capitalism that has checks and balances against what our current system has become: crony capitalism that overwhelmingly benefits a few at the top at expense of the rest of us.
When billionaires gain $1 trillion in new collective wealth during the pandemic while hundreds of thousands of small businesses are closed for good, we don't live in a capitalist society anymore.
We live in a crony capitalist oligarchy.
As a Millennial I can also confidently say that very few people in my generation or in Gen Z give a damn about the almighty stock market that so many people worship in this country.
We will be lucky if most of us can ever afford to get married and buy a home, let alone have a nice cushioned 401k. I'm not trying to make people mad when I say this, I'm just sharing the reality that exists across the generational divide.
I know this isn't going to please many of the older generations reading this, but they should know that Millennials and Gen Z are not going to fight to defend their pensions and 401ks. We'd sooner metaphorically "set the system on fire and blow it up" as Tucker Carlson says.
I love my grandfather, but I'm not very motivated to risk everything fighting establishment oligarchs so that the value of his 401k continues to rise while my generation sits on a mountain of student loan debt and home ownership seems like a pipe dream for the vast majority of us.
We don't worship crony capitalism, the stock market, or 401ks.
We worship God.
For liberty and justice for all!
The other thing we aren't fighting for is some abstract form of "liberty" or "justice," which have both been all but perverted and destroyed by the corrupt oligarchs in power who use these words to manipulate and control us into action on their behalf.
I think we can safely assume that any concept of American liberty is mostly long gone at this point. Our every move and click is tracked by international corporations and the NSA 24/7. We can't go to the airport without an hour long pat down process.
We may never be able to go to the grocery store again without wearing a face diaper. We can't worship in church on Sunday because our tyrant governor said so. We can't even express political opinions on the internet without being banned, fired, and harassed.
If this is what American "liberty" looks like, I think we better start fighting for something else.
Muh social "justice!"
Then there is American "justice." Justice in the West has been subverted by critical race theory. According to the tenets of critical race theory "justice" is when the white Christian man loses and gets trampled on by those in actual positions of power.
"Justice" is when the black Trump supporter gets fired or banned from the internet for having a different political opinion than his peers. "Justice" is when the treasonous criminals in our government get rewarded for their treason instead of being thrown in jail.
If this is what American "justice" looks like, I think we better start fighting for something else.
I'm fighting for my family and for my children.
I'm not going to fight for a country that worships crony capitalism. I'm not going to fight for a country that has zero semblance of liberty, privacy, or justice remaining. I'm not going to fight for a country where power has been centralized into the hands of a handful of establishment oligarch billionaires.
I am going to fight for a country that is by, of, and for The People. One where my children can grow up without being attacked for their political opinion, faith, and skin color.
If the American Populist movement is to unite, we must first place God at the center of our movement. We must then remember what it is we are fighting for: our families.
These two things connect The People across political differences, race, class, and location. We must refuse to continue fighting on behalf of the interests and power of the oligarch establishment and their rigged crony capitalist system. We must instead center our focus on God and our families to work together against our common enemy.

The history of Protestantism is rooted in dissent. Dissent is rooted in the desire to preserve liberty and live authentically according to God's Word. Dissent, preserving liberty and living authentically according to God's Word are all impossible without the freedom of speech. The word dissenter, from the Latin dissentire, "to disagree," originates from the Protestants who separated from the Anglican church of England. More generally speaking it is "one who disagrees in matters of opinion and belief."
Dissent requires freedom of speech to exist. Without it, tyrants quickly work to make any form of dissent illegal. We see this at work even today with the Communist Chinese Party, which treats Christian dissenters with contempt and disdain. Unfortunately we also see it in the United States of America, a Christian nation that has been subverted by a handful of secular ruling class elites that demonize Christians at every turn.

The Gab post below was one of several that went viral on Gab earlier this week. Days later Tucker Carlson picked up the story. Now Silicon Valley and the marxist minions in the mainstream media are scrambling to make sure no one sees it.
This isn't the first time a story broke on Gab before it was covered anywhere else. In many cases the Truth is not being told by anyone in the media, but it is being told on Gab.

Today Facebook announced that it would be banning all "QAnon accounts" across all of its platforms. This includes banning individual accounts as well as QAnon groups across both Facebook itself and Instagram. Facebook also announced that it has an internal "Dangerous Organizations Operations" team that will be monitoring for and banning these accounts.
In light of this news Gab is happy to announce that we will be welcoming all QAnon accounts across our social network, news, and encrypted chat platforms. Gab exists as an alternative to Silicon Valley tyranny and control over the flow of information and communication online. We welcome everyone to speak freely and invite their friends to do the same.
We have several existing QAnon groups on Gab that have grown significantly over the past few weeks to tens of thousands of members. Members of the QAnon community have been active on Gab for several years. We have never seen any calls for violence, threats, or any other illegal activity from this group of people.
From what we have observed these are very fine people who love freedom and their country. They seek out the truth for themselves rather than depending on the mainstream media or Big Tech companies to do it for them.

It's time to have a discussion about the future of the American Populist Movement. I'm not going to use the word "Republican" or "Democrat" because those words have become associated with spineless, gutless, sellout traitors who hate America and do not act in the interest of the American people.
A Populist is "a person who strives to appeal to ordinary people who feel that their concerns are disregarded by established elite groups." I can think of no better way to describe the diverse coalition of 74 million Americans from every race, class, political party, and location.
The reality is that American Populism unites Americans across political lines.
I'd be willing to bet that both left wing populists and right wing populists can't stand people like Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jack Dorsey; albeit for different reasons. Our perceived political differences fade away when we focus on the root of the problem in our country: the oligarchs.
There are many left wing populists who will agree with right wing populists on the problems we face. We may disagree on the solutions to those problems, but if we come together against our shared enemy, the establishment, we can take this country back without destroying one another.
This small group of elites in power want us divided. They want us bickering over nuanced political theatre. The want us destroying each other in the streets. They want us attacking one another on the internet all day long. They want us locked in our homes in fear.
The oligarchs want us obedient and controlled.
Big Tech companies just conducted the largest scale PSYOP in history on the American public to disenfranchise tens of millions of voters and help to steal a Presidential election. If you're even remotely paying attention you can't deny this fact.
In a sane country this type of behavior would be deemed treasonous and people like Mark Zuckerberg would be on trial as we speak.
Alas, it is not so in the People's Banana Republic of America. As a reward for disenfranchising the American voter the Republican-controlled Senate just awarded Big Tech companies with unlimited cheap foreign labor to disenfranchise the American worker by passing the "Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act, or S.386." This hurts American workers of every race, class, location, and political affiliation.
S.386 does the following:
-eliminates the present 7 percent cap for employment-based immigrant visas.
-removes an offset that reduced the number of visas for individuals from China.
-establish transition rules for employment-based visas from fiscal year 2020 to 2022, by reserving a percentage of EB-2 and EB-3 visas for individuals not from the two countries with the largest number of recipients of such visas. EB-2 visas are used by workers with advanced degrees or exceptional ability, while EB-3 are for skilled and other workers. (The two countries with the largest recipients of such visas are India and China.)
-Of the unreserved visas, not more than 85 percent will be allotted to immigrants from any single country. (source)
With political "allies" like this, who needs enemies?
You couldn't pay me enough to care about one single member of the current Congress. I hope they all get voted out. As a registered Republican I hope Republicans lose the Senate because they deserve to. They are perpetual losers.
We need a clean slate of fresh faces in Congress who work on behalf of the American people and not on behalf of international corporations and foreign countries. We need brave and authentic fighters who aren't blackmailed, bought, and compromised. Salt of the earth people instead of people who have been to Epstein's island.
If the Globalists want a "Great Reset," let's start with resetting Congress.
The Republicans have stood by and watched the electoral process be stolen, subverted, and delegitimized before our eyes. The Democrats have orchestrated it. Neither party is acting in the interests of the American people. If we are going to form an authentic American Populist Movement it needs to have a unifying set of core values and beliefs.
So let us ask ourselves: what unites us anymore as Americans?
On the right there exists a fragmented party of RINOS, neocons, libertarians, populists, nationalists, and conservatives all fighting for different visions and policies under the same banner of "Republican." Similarly on the left there is immense division among the establishment liberals and the fresh faces in the party who were recently elected.
It's not the Constitution that unites us because it has been disregarded and trampled on for decades by those in power.
It's not the "free market," which is anything but "free." Not when small businesses are closing for good due to forced lockdowns and billionaires gained $1 trillion in their collective wealth during the pandemic.
The answer is Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ unites Americans across race, political party, class, status, location, age, and gender. We need to start there and make Him the focal point of this populist movement.
The Great Awakening is a spiritual movement as much as it is a political one. It must be. Otherwise we are doomed to fail as the current parties have over and over again for decades.
The Populist Right and the Populist Left need to come together to form the American Populist Party. We need to organize, fundraise, and elect populist candidates with new ideas. Let us unite in our shared love of Christ and our common enemy of wicked oligarchs to take our country back.
Then we can debate the nuances of political policy to fix it.

Mark Zuckerberg held a virtual town hall with employees last week to address concerns about the massive advertiser boycott the company is experiencing from "woke" brands. This boycott is being led by none other than the ADL, the notoriously anti-free speech organization.
While the ADL has openly admitted that "hate speech" is constitutionally protected, they have spent years lobbying Congress and tech companies to censor what they deem to be "hateful" speech online.
The great irony here is that Facebook has been "partnered" with the ADL since at least 2017 in order to "fight online hate." Apparently the vast amount of censorship that Facebook has implemented since then isn't enough for the ADL.
This advertiser boycott is serious business, costing Facebook an estimated $7 billion with top advertisers like Verizon, Unilever, and others pulling out of Facebook's ad ecosystem.
As ReClaimTheNet pointed out on Gab, advertisers had already planned to dramatically reduce ad spending this quarter due to the coronavirus anyway, so it appears they seized the opportunity to virtue signal in the process.
This should be a lesson to any company that thinks they can appease the mob and Thought Police mafia of the ADL. Unless and until the ADL has full control over the content on Facebook-and everywhere else on the internet-they are not going to stop in their quest for censorious power. They will not show mercy because they know that politics, and thus power, is downstream from discourse.
Gab has been under attack from the ADL for years now. We have refused to bend the knee and paid the price for it.
For what it's worth, Mark Zuckerberg claims that the company is not going to change their policies because of this boycott.
'We're not gonna change our policies or approach on anything because of a threat to a small per cent of our revenue, or to any percent of our revenue,' said Zuckerberg, according to The Information.
While Zuckerberg's refusal to bend the knee to the mob may be noble, his employees are the ones who are writing the algorithms and banning conservatives. Facebook moderators have even been caught on camera bragging about deleting pro-Trump content and implementing anti-white policies.
The end result of this inevitable chaos is the acceleration of the balkanization of social networking-and indeed the internet itself.

On paper it may seem like Big Tech companies are separate businesses, but in practice they act unilaterally when it comes to purging WrongThink and pushing "woke" narratives.
Stefan Molyneux, a philosopher and popular online commentator, was suspended from Twitter today. About a week ago he was banned from YouTube where he had hundreds of thousands of subscribers and spent over a decade creating content.
Just days ago it was revealed that Stefan, along with many others, is allegedly included on an internal blacklist at Paypal. This should come as no surprise though being that he has already been banned from Paypal since November 2019.
Gab suffered a similar fate in the Fall of 2018 when Paypal banned us "just because." As recently as this week Paypal's CEO positioned himself as some sort of martyr for banning Gab and others. Stunning and brave.
Stefan joins the ranks of Thought Criminals who speak a little too freely online for the progressive overlords. Thankfully Stefan was wise enough to get on Gab many years ago and spend time investing into building an audience on the platform.
As I write this the slack-jawed leftists on Twitter are cheering and rejoicing over Stefan's bans. This boring and predictable cackling is not what I want you to pay attention to though.
Instead, I want you to center your focus on the total silence from the Conservative Inc frauds who boast about how much they love free speech and hate big tech censorship. You won't find them defending Stefan. You won't find them speaking out against his bans. You won't find them saying anything at all.
Make no mistake: they know who he is, they know he has been banned, and they are secretly doing their own bit of celebrating about it too.
At Gab we know this hypocrisy all too well. When we were systematically no-platformed from the internet not one of the "free speech warriors" in Conservative Inc said a word. The truth is that the Conservative establishment loves cancel culture. It eliminates their competition.
If people are paying attention to Gab or paying attention to Stefan Molyneux then they aren't paying attention to the dopey talking heads in Conservative media circles.

For those of you who don't know, Gab has been banned by dozens of payment processors over the past two years. We can't use PayPal, Stripe, Square, or any of the top ways to exchange money on the internet.
We've also been banned from many cryptocurrency payment platforms like Coinbase and Bitpay. To top it off, it's not only Gab as a business that is being targeted. My family and I have also been blacklisted by VISA for merchant processing.
Gab has always accepted bitcoin, or free speech money, but once we could no longer accept credit or debit card purchases to operate our business we learned how crucial bitcoin is for the future.

Make no mistake about it: Fox News is the network of Paul Ryan. For over a year now Ryan has been gloating that he was going to use his position on Fox's board to 'do something' about Trump. Without exception, Tucker Carlson is the only one worth watching on Fox. Everyone else is either too afraid to speak the truth boldly or has sold out as controlled opposition for the Republican establishment. This was obvious on election night and the days that followed.
Carlson boldly speaks truth to power day in and day out, which is why this summer Tucker Carlson Tonight broke the record for highest-rated program in U.S. cable news history. Carlson will undoubtably be remembered as the peak of humble and honest television news reporting as we start to witness network television's inevitable and spectacular decline into irrelevance.
What comes next for media will look a lot like Gab.com or perhaps a hybrid approach like OANN and Newsmax. It's crazy to believe that only a handful of Silicon Valley companies will have complete control over the flow of information, communication, and news forever. The future of media, news, and communication is a balkanized and decentralized series of alternative media platforms.
The median age of a primetime Fox News viewer is 68, according to Nielsen. Millennials are tuning out of cable news. Most don't even have cable (I haven't for seven years.) "Data from a survey held in March 2020 in the United States revealed that the most popular source for consuming news on a daily basis among U.S. Millennials was social media, with 57 percent of respondents stating that they used social networks as a source of news daily."
After Fox's total and complete betrayal of President Trump on election night by wrongfully calling Arizona for Biden before any other network, Fox will soon be remembered as a distant memory of the past in news media history.

Then Fox News anchor Eric Shawn claimed that President Trump's allegations of election voter fraud in Pennsylvania were "baseless," "a lie", and "not true." Finally Jeanine Pirro's Show was cancelled last night after they found out she was going to report on election fraud.
If you are tuning into Fox News, then you are funding this madness. Sure the pundits and talking heads may spout off some talking points you may agree with from time to time, but when push came to shove and it mattered most: Fox News threw the President, and the country, under the bus. They would do the same to you too if it meant making a buck and appeasing the establishment oligarchs who run this country.

My name is Andrew Torba and I'm the CEO of Gab.com.
Gab is a free speech software company. We build open source software with the primary purpose of conserving and exporting the uniquely American value of free speech to the world online.

We are also proud of our relationship with US law enforcement and the balance of due process, privacy, and free speech to keep criminal activity out of our community.
For over three years now the mainstream media and establishment players in the Silicon Valley cabal have smeared Gab because they do not share our values.
For holding the values described above, Gab has faced unique challenges on our journey. We have been no-platformed from dozens of service providers including both app stores, hosting providers, domain registrars, payment processors, and even banks. We've overcome these challenges by building our own infrastructure and by leveraging censorship-resistant technology like bitcoin.
The rise in the censorship of American citizens by American corporations and the subversion of democracy by those same US corporations is harrowing to me as a Christian American. Silicon Valley companies do not share my Christian values and indeed have a consistent history of silencing Christians online.
Free speech is at the forefront of the 2020 election. In just the past year we saw Democratic Presidential candidates and mainstream media personalities calling for Twitter to ban President Trump's account.
Twitter then quickly announced that they will be removing the ability to like, reply, or repost President Trump's tweets that are "abusive" according to their standards.
This isn't "democracy" and it certainly isn't "normal."
Big Tech's unchecked power to dictate who can speak, who can make money, and who can exist online is only part of the bigger picture.
Big Tech is curating and editorializing the legal political speech of American citizens and limiting the reach and engagement of the President of the United States.
Big Tech is socially engineering the American electorate.
Studies have shown that biased Google search results can swing and influence elections. Facebook has admitted to conducting psychological experiments on users. Facebook is building a literal mind reading device. Google was working with China to build a censored search engine. Pinterest censored pro-life and Christian content from their site.
Silicon Valley's bravado has also inspired the Chinese government to project their values of censorship, communism, and control on millions of Americans online.
Many of the top mobile game and mobile apps are owned and controlled by the Chinese. Apps like Tiktok have already censored content that criticizes the Chinese government, but not just in China. They are doing it to Americans too.
These two versions of the internet are different sides of the same tyrannical coin. This corporate or foreign state-controlled internet isn't the internet I want my daughter to grow up with. This isn't the internet the people of the world deserve.
On Gab users are not the product, they are the customer. Gab monetizes by selling an optional service called GabPro. For the cost of a cup of coffee every month, GabPro users can get verified and unlock additional features.
We also offer a free speech web browser that automatically blocks all Big Tech ads and trackers. The browser includes a universal comment section across the entire internet. Users can comment on any URL and also see what others are commenting.
What we all need to realize is that together we vastly outnumber Silicon Valley. They only control us only as long as you and I continue to let them do it.

Thank you for reaching out to me for comment. I'm writing a story in response to your upcoming story and will be publishing it immediately on the Media Transparency section of the Gab News blog, which is emailed to millions of people daily. Your request along with my response below will be included, as is standard with all of Gab's engagements with the legacy press.
Gab has had members of the QAnon community on our platform for several years now, but to be honest I never paid much attention to them because they have always been respectful people who follow Gab's user guidelines and US law.
My attention was immediately drawn to them once the legacy press started to smear the QAnon community and especially after Silicon Valley platforms censored and deplatformed groups, individuals, and networks of people who even mention Q or any of the various important topics that the community researches and discusses.
I can't say that I've ever seen any "conspiracy theories" from the QAnon community. In fact, I've seen a refreshing and objective flow of information being surfaced by a decentralized community of millions of people who are researching and reporting on news that so-called "journalists" refuse to cover.
The oligarchs in power are most certainly wicked and corrupt people by any measure of morality, but the Epstein saga over the past few years has revealed the depth of this wickedness to general public and the QAnon community played a big role in distributing that information to the masses. I'm not sure how this can be considered a "conspiracy theory" when it has been widely reported, even begrudgingly, by the legacy press.
Perhaps it is you who are the conspiracy theorists.
After all, the legacy media has propagated endless conspiracy theories over the years including the "weapons of mass destruction hoax" and the "Russian hoax" that is still peddled to this day.
As a Christian I believe that sunlight is the best disinfectant for evil. It seems to me that the legacy press, in coordination with Silicon Valley tech platforms, are working to sweep the wickedness of people like Epstein and those associated with him under the rug through the use of censorship, coordinated smear campaigns, and by destroying the lives of decent people who are seeking the truth.
The QAnon community is much bigger than an alleged anonymous government insider making posts on an image board. That part may or may not be true, but I don't think it really matters either way.
The QAnon community has less to do with Q and more to do with a decentralized new media network that surfaces, distributes, and fact checks information in real time. It is self-correcting, self-editorializing, and most importantly: it can't be stopped.
You can deplatform these people from legacy tech platforms and call them "racists" and "conspiracy theorists" in the legacy media, but nothing can stop what has already been started and it will only continue to grow.
One big reason the legacy media is smearing the QAnon community is because these folks are in direct competition with the legacy media's power structure and control over the flow of information and news.
The other reason is because many in the QAnon community are Christian and Q often shares Christian themes. The QAnon community is organizing and uniting Christians across all denominations of the faith in their search for real news and information about the corrupt and wicked people in power.
I don't believe it is a coincidence that the deplatforming and coordinated smear campaign of the QAnon community started shortly after Q posted a letter from archbishop Carlo Maria Vigan? on June 29th, 2020 which was followed by the posting of a prayer mentioning Jesus by name as Lord on September 20th, 2020.
Ultimately what the anti-Christian legacy press and the wicked oligarchs in power fear the most is Christians coordinating and unifying on the internet. When this happens they know that their evil will be exposed and their names will be named outside of the oligarch-controlled media and technology echo chambers. It''s the same reason they are working so hard to keep us out of our churches with these bogus lockdowns.
From my perspective The Great Awakening is about millions of people waking up to the lies they have been fed by their governments, the legacy media, the entertainment industry, Big Tech companies, the education system, and more for over a century.
Based on what I have observed for the past several months, the core philosophy of the QAnon community is to be inherently skeptical of what legacy media elites report, conduct your own research, and share the truth far and wide.
I see nothing wrong with this and we gladly welcome it on Gab.com.

Payment processing is the final attack vector that our enemies have on us. Gab has already been banned from both App Stores, hosting providers, and dozens of third-party services such as mass emailing, business tools, and more. We spent all of 2019 building each of these things on our own to keep Gab online. In the process we became incredibly resilient against no-platforming attacks. When you own your own servers and build your own email system you can''t get banned from them.
Alas, Gab is not a bank. At least not yet.
Payment processing, in particular credit/debit card processing, is the one weakness that our enemies attacked. Thankfully they can''t stop us completely and more importantly: they can''t stop you from supporting us. We are still able to accept eCheck payments, which requires about as much effort as entering in your credit/debit card info. Think of it as a digital check, because that''s what it is. You can also mail us a physical check or money order the old fashioned way to our PO Box. Finally, you can utilize bitcoin, or what we like to call free speech money, to support us as well.
Gab is the most no-platformed alternative technology company because Gab has refused to bend to the demands of Apple, Google, Paypal, and Visa. A few years back when Apple called us and said that they would allow us on the App Store if we banned "offensive" content, we refused. After years of being forged by fire, Gab has proven itself to be the most resiliant of any alt tech platform.
Our community of millions of people from around the world will only continue to grow as Silicon Valley continues to crack down on dissent and truth.

VICE decided to put out a hit piece on Gab today and like good "journalists" they didn't even bother reaching out to us for comment.
We invite any VICE reader to actually visit Gab for yourself and see if the picture they paint about us is at all accurate, because it's not. The Mockingbird Media's pathetic and desperate attempts to smear Gab and alt-tech have failed for four years and they will continue to fail perpetually.

Yesterday President Trump signed a social media executive order that specifically mentioned Twitter. Twitter doesn''t seem too concerned or scared, nor should they be as many legal experts have weighed in and stated that this EO doesn''t hold much weight. The executive order goes after CDA Section 230. This is bad. It''s something we wrote our concerns about here.
This morning Twitter once again editorialized one of the President''s tweets, but this time they took it a step further. They totally covered up his entire tweet with their editorial comment and made it so the President''s tweet could not be commented on or liked by anyone on the site.

Reddit has purged some of the most popular communities on the site today after a recent announcement that they will be cracking down on "hate speech." Over 2,000 communities were purged including the pro-Trump community r/The_Donald and the popular left-wing community r/ChapoTrapHouse.
Last year Reddit took a $150m investment from the Communist Chinese, so these bans and the pivot away from freedom should not be a surprise to anyone. Reddit is not only purging thousands of communities from the site, but they are also banning users who "upvote" content which breaks their new "hate speech" rules. Meaning even if you don''t post the content yourself, Reddit will ban you if you engage with it.
"I have to admit that I've struggled with balancing my values as an American, and around free speech and free expression, with my values and the company's values around common human decency," Reddit CEO Steve Huffman said.
Perhaps all that communist Chinese money made his decision a little easier.

As many of you already know we learned last week that Visa blacklisted Gab and we are now unable to process credit and debit card transactions. We learned more information this week and I think it's important that I share it as a warning for others.
It's not just Gab that is blacklisted. It's also my family.
In China there is something called the Social Credit System, which was developed by the Communist Chinese Party as a "national reputation system." This system tracks the "trustworthiness" of individuals, businesses, and organizations. "Trustworthiness" here means total and complete submission to the Chinese Communist Party. If the Communist Party deems you to be untrustworthy, you are denied access to plane tickets, train tickets, opening and operating businesses, and more.
"As of June 2019, according to the National Development and Reform Commission of China, 26.82 million air tickets as well as 5.96 million high-speed rail tickets have been denied to people who were deemed "untrustworthy (??)" (on a blacklist), and 4.37 million "untrustworthy" people have chosen to fulfill their duties required by the law."
To most Americans this sounds horrifying, and it is. I now know from first-hand experience because this social credit system exists in the United States. While it may not be sanctioned by the United States government, it most certainly has been deployed by US corporations who today have in many ways more power, data, and control over our lives than our government does. Many of these corporations also happen to be endorsing and raising money for communist organizations, revolutionaries, and the domestic terrorists burning down our cities.
We were told this week that not only is Gab blacklisted by Visa as a business, but my personal name, phone number, address, and more are all also blacklisted by Visa. If I wanted to leave Gab tomorrow (something that isn't going to happen) and start a lemonade stand I wouldn't be able to obtain merchant processing for it.
Simply because my name is Andrew Torba.
If my wife wants to start a business she won't be able to obtain merchant processing because she lives at the same address as me and would be flagged by Visa.
This is obviously very concerning. We have done nothing wrong. Gab is and always has been a legally operated business. We sell hats, shirts, and a software subscription service that unlocks new features on Gab. My personal credit score is in the 800's. I pay my bills. I have a wife and daughter to provide for, yet we are all being punished and defamed because someone at Visa has it out for me.
We were told that Visa has someone camping on our website watching our payment processing. As soon as we get a new processor up they find out who it is on their end and contact them. They tell the processor that Gab is flagged for "illegal activity" and if they do not stop processing payments for us they will be heavily fined.
When the processor inquires about this alleged "illegal activity," Visa tells them that Gab has been flagged for "hate speech." "Hate speech," is of course not illegal in the United States of America and is protected by the First Amendment. As I have written, it's not real and I refuse to acknowledge it as term. Visa doesn't agree with me.
The reason I share all of this is that I hope it serves as a wakeup call and as a warning.
If they can do this to me, they can do it to you and they likely will.
Christians need to be especially concerned and aware of this. The Communist revolutionaries taking over the United States are coming for us all. It's only a matter of time before the Bible is labeled as "hate speech" and churches start to experience what I am going through right now.

As usual, I like to publish my full responses to these interviews before publication so you all can compare the answers that I send to what actually gets published. Enjoy!
1.) A lot of journalists have characterized Gab as the last online refuge for radical right-wingers. Who would you say is the most well-known Gab user who challenges that idea?
A lot of journalists are marxist propagandists and proven liars. Gab is an online refuge for anyone who wishes to speak freely and securely away from the tyranny of Silicon Valley. We protect the speech rights of dissidents in foreign countries-and in The United States of America. We also protect the privacy rights of our users. For example when a foreign government requests subscriber data, we assume that the user is American and extend U.S. protection to that account's activity. The Gab community is home to millions of people from around the world from all different backgrounds. Our most popular Gab Groups are interest-based and have nothing to do with politics. Some of my favorites include the Classic Cars group, the Doggos group, and the Gardening group.
2.) It seems that alternative social media networks have been gaining traction in recent months. Have you seen an uptick in Gab's membership? If so, would you be willing to share your user numbers and any growth you have seen in recent months?
We saw an increase of 100,000 new daily active users join the Gab community in the past week alone. In June we brought on 200,000 new and returning users after the President's tweets started getting "fact-checked" by Twitter. We now have 4 million+ people using our alternative technology products: the Dissenter web browser, Gab Trends, Gab Chat (our e2e encrypted chat messenger,) Gab Social, and Gab News.
3.) You have suggested that Trump and others join alternative social media platforms to combat alleged free speech abuses. In the last month or so, many prominent congressmen and conservative personalities have joined Parler. In your view, is Parler (with its comparatively stricter content moderation policies) sufficient to combat alleged social media bias and censorship?
Our thesis has always been that the decentralization and balkanization of social networking is inevitable.
So long as Parler (or anyone else who claims to support free speech) exists in both app stores they are not enforcing their own user guidelines. They are 100% beholden to Apple and Google and must enforce their guidelines, which is likely why Parler is already mass banning users. From what I've seen, Twitter has more free speech than Parler does.
This is where Gab stands out. For years we have taken the principled position of defending speech that Apple, Google, and other Big Tech companies wish to see censored. When Apple and Google demanded that Gab ban 1A-protected speech, we refused to bend the knee and were banned from both App Stores as punishment.
We gained something much more valuable when this happened: we do not ever need to answer to Apple and Google. So long as Parler or anyone else does, they are no different than Twitter or Facebook and will be forced to censor on behalf of Big Tech.
Gab has an authentic community of people that isn't going anywhere. Gab users are our customers, our shareholders, our donors, our volunteers, and more. We don't need "influencers" nor do we need impotent members of Congress. We have a loud majority of Truth seekers speaking very freely who are infinitely more important and influential.
4.) I'd also be interested to hear any further thoughts you might have on other alternative networks, and why Gab is unique among/superior to them.
People matter.
Community matters.
Principles matter.
Mission and vision matter.
Gab has all of these things, and we earned them.
5.) Many congressmen, both Republican and Democrat, have called for changes to Section 230 in recent months, albeit for different reasons. I'm curious about your thoughts on this - how concerned are you about substantive changes to 230? What measures would you and Gab take to respond to them if changes did happen?

In early July Tucker Carlson Tonight broke the record for highest-rated program in U.S. cable news history, garnering an average nightly audience of 4.33 million viewers.
By any objective measure, Tucker Carlson is the only person on TV speaking the truth. One hour of Tucker Carlson contains more substance than anything anyone in the GOP or the rest of the Conservative Inc media has said all year long. The beltway GOP lackeys, Koch brother apologists, and Trump sycophants spend all day filling the airwaves with pointless nonsense about the "intolerant left" or some other distraction while the country, our culture, and our history burns to the ground.
These people are clowns. Jesters. They exist in prominent positions as "influencers" to distract you from the very real issues, many of which Tucker Carlson talks about every night of the week. They are the very definition of "controlled opposition" and anyone paying attention knows this to be true.
The best part about these useful idiot "influencers" shilling Parler over the last few weeks is that it exposes the entire GOP establishment right for the total and complete spineless scumbags they all are.
All of these people have known about Gab for 3+ years and many of them celebrated when we got no-platformed. They will tell you they support free speech, just not the free speech of people on Gab who speak a little too freely. We live in a country where 60m+ people are going to vote for a dementia patient to be leader of the free world.

When critics think about and talk about Gab, they do so with short term thinking. This is a problem caused by the Silicon Valley mindset: grow as fast as possible at all costs, even if you sell your soul and give up your values in the process.
That's not how we think or operate here.
We are building Gab for the long game. What happens when Trump is no longer President (hopefully in 4 years?) You think the censorship is bad now? Just wait until 2024. Things have accelerated to the point where cities are burning to the ground and the President of the United States of America is being censored by technology companies. That's all happening while he's in power. Imagine when they take control, and inevitably due to demographic change and social conditioning, they will. We need to be prepared and have a place where truth and sanity can surface online.
