How can we get more people to our website?
SEO is the S in the FRESH Funnel, and stands for "Search Engine Optimization" - How do we optimize our results in a search engine like Google?
Since the funnel is getting built, we're ready to start getting more potential customers into the top of the funnel.
While some companies will tell you that SEO is a stand alone solution (meaning you mess with some code in your website and then you magically pop up in results) Google is looking for way more than just words in your website code.
Google considers many factors in deciding where your website will rank. Their goal is to provide someone with the best results possible when they visit your website. Google considers:
How long do visitors stay on your website? (proving they found what they were looking for)
Do visitors click around for more information or close your website? (Did they find more of what they were looking for, or simply close their browser out of frustration?)
The volume of information on you website (are visitors likely to find more related information to the topic they're searching for?)
The content of the pages (are the words and titles in your blog post a match to the words that someone was searching?)
A solution to all of this os by blogging - creating and growing a library of content on your website. Blog posts give visitors content to read, more posts to click through to get more information and keep them on your website
BUT BLOGGING IS WORTH WAY MORE THAN SEO:
The next step in the FRESH funnel is the "H" and Blogging is going to do double duty here to help us create a follow up "Hello Again" strategy for potential customers.

Hello, Again.
The "H" in the FRESH Funnel is saying "Hello, Again" to your potential customers.
Remember that at this point in the funnel, this person has visited your website, identified that there's a good reason to give you their email address, and read your ebook and automated emails.
This person knows who you are! (just like you're getting to know me!)
Depending on your industry, there are multiple ways to follow up with a potential customer, and without getting too redundant to the content of the FRESH funnel ebook, this follow up strategy is going to be as unique as the reason you gave them to sign up to your email list.
Using your blog content, you can send regular emails, posts on Social Media, retargeting ads on Social Media using their email address a facebook pixel and provide them follow up information to help educate them to make a decision.
... kinda like this email...
...because your visitors may not already be in a buying position when they visit your website, but they are in exploration mode.
Maybe they're looking for a restaurant to visit this weekend, and you offer them a coupon code for a free dessert if they make a reservation, then you follow up with them to remind them about their reservation.
Maybe they're doing research to submit to a board of directors, or to their boss, so you help them learn more about your products or services in bite-sized emails.
Maybe it's simply an impulse buy and they could use a nudge by seeing a facebook video of someone enjoying your product...
Take a moment to say "Hello, Again" and reintroduce yourself can be the tipping point someone needs to make a decision.
