Dear LA Fashion District Stakeholders:
We hope this notice finds you in good health during this unprecedented time. As we’re facing many uncertainties and difficult times ahead, we want to remind you that we will get through this together.
Yesterday, Governor Newsom and Mayor Garcetti joined Los Angeles County officials to issue a “Safer at Home” Emergency Order -- requiring residents to stay inside their residences and limit all movement outside of their homes beyond what is absolutely essential (i.e. groceries, pharmacies, take a walk). This order requires all museums, indoor malls, shopping centers, playgrounds, non-essential retail businesses, and non-profits to close and prohibit gatherings in enclosed spaces of more than 10 people. People over the age of 65 are urged to stay inside.
The health and safety of our residents, workers, visitors and our BID staff are the top priority for us. We’ve adapted quickly and we consider the clean and safe services that we provide to be essential during this time. We continue to provide safety patrols, trash pick-up, pressure washing and graffiti removal. Additionally, we’ve increased our detail cleaning to disinfect public street furniture, pedestrian lights, etc.
The BID’s Admin and Marketing staff are working remotely, continuing to monitor and update our COVID-19 Resource Page with important public health information and updates, including financial assistance resources for small businesses and property owners, at: fashiondistrict.org/bid-updates
Many of our restaurants are offering food delivery and pick-up services as well as essential grocery items, including household goods and toiletry items. This information continues to be made available on the LA Fashion District’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
It is absolutely imperative that we all do our part to overcome this crisis and we urge you to follow the recently issued orders and guidance of our local/state officials and public health experts to slow the spread of the virus.
We are all in this together, and together we will get through this. Please feel free to contact me with questions, concerns and/or suggestions at: rena@fashiondistrict.org
Stay Home, Stay Healthy,
Rena Leddy, Executive Director
