Using the Energy Council's wealth of experience in running virtual events, I wanted to share the top 5 features we have introduced to make sure you get the best online experience.
????Top 5 features of our Virtual Event
1. Executive Industry Keynotes across 3 days
Sometimes a virtual event can mean different speakers, but we have maintained the executive line-up as expected from the usual European Gas event. You will hear the important post-winter updates from OMV, Gazprom, the European Commission and many more. Take a look at the latest agenda here
2. 1-2-1 networking is made available on and off the platform via MS Teams, Webex, Skype and Zoom
We appreciate that using various online event platforms can be confusing for some so we have created more choice so you can connect with ease. If you register with our meetings package, our dedicated meetings team will coordinate introductions with other attendees via your preferred platform whether that be Teams, Zoom, Skype etc.
3. Lunchtime roundtable discussions using online breakout rooms
Industry-wide conversations have been difficult to come by due to the pandemic and this is why we have created lunchtime breakout roundtables for you to chat with your peers in an informal setting. Sip on your coffee and talk all things business with the friends and partners who you have made over the years.
4. Shortened days with on-demand

Since you won't be in a physical conference setting for the three days and have various work distractions alongside the event, we have shortened each day to between 9am and 4pm CET. This will allow you to balance your days with multiple breaks whilst accessing the live, important presentations for 2021. Of course if you miss anything, the presentations and panel discussions will be also be available on-demand for a month after the event so you can catch up or re-listen to the content.
5. Theme-focussed days to address the major issues in LNG, Pipeline & Markets and Hydrogen
Normally for EGC we have multiple topic streams each day but for European Gas Virtual, we will only have one. This will maximise your interaction for the exclusive themes influencing the European market at the moment e.g. LNG, Pipelines & Markets, and our new topic Hydrogen.
