Hi Alexander,

I hope you're staying healthy during these trying times with C-19.  Before I get to some good news (15% off everything) below, I wanted to share some of my tips for strengthening your immune system and lowering your stress levels.

I've said this from the beginning.  In my professional, clinical experience the best thing you can do now is to create a resiliency and a strong immune system.  

How do you boost your immune system?

Let's talk about 2 ways: Your nutrition and Your activities.

Nutrition/Supplements For Strengthening Your Immune System

The first line of defense is supporting your body's natural ability to fight disease.  

Here are some recommendations I personally follow specifically for C-19...

1. First, alkalinize your body and get your urine pH to 7. You can do this by eating Keto-Green and enjoying more healthy low glycemic foods.  You can find out more about Keto-Green here.  My Keto-Green Shake is a great, fast, and easy way to do this, as well.  I drink Mighty Maca Plus at breakfast, then a shake for lunch to keep my pH levels alkaline through the day.  

2. Optimize your Vitamin D level (Check your levels as mentioned below and get them in optimal range). The average dose for adults is 2,500 to 10,000 but for certain patients, I have recommended up to 50,000 IUs for up to four days, if you think you may be exposed to the flu or have early symptoms. 3. Boost Selenium with two Brazil nuts daily (or a supplement) to get 200 mcg a day.
4. Eat Zinc rich foods like oysters, meats, shellfish and nuts.

6. Use Argentyn Silver (or a colloidal silver nasal spray).

Activities For Strengthening Your Immune System & Lowering Stress

It's incredible how much stress and cortisol affects our body and hormones.  So it's not all about nutrition, it's also about how you spend your time.

Here's what I would suggest...

1. Get a good night’s sleep. Boosting the brain’s magnesium levels is vital to healthy cognition, which includes long- and short-term memory, learning, stress management, and sleep. My Better Brain & Sleep helps to ensure an optimal magnesium intake for overall health.
2. Take a walk outside every day if you can. Even if it's just around your house!

Hi Alexander,

Hoping you and your family are doing well in these challenging times. While the lockdown and virus concerns are creating many new barriers, financial impacts and health worries (not only about the health of those we love, but of those we appreciate in our community) I do hope you are able to also take some of the positives out of this unique situation. 

For myself, I took some lovely time for an overnight camping trip where we cooked outside, hiked, slept in a hammock and woke to a glorious sunrise.  I set my DREAM INTENTIONS for this round of Keto-Green™16 and recharged.

Meals are a particularly wonderful time in my house as my daughters and I share in cooking duties, each of us having our own favorite Keto-Green recipes...so yummy...and truly an indescribable variation of delicious vegetables of every color. We have also been doing puzzles, crafts, karaoke, gardening, and so many virtual get-togethers with family, friends and our various communities. It has really been a blessing in many ways and I reflect positively on it. I hope you, too, have experienced this even in these worrisome times.

• Grounding or earthing (literally plugging in to earth’s energies)
• Sunlight (resetting your body’s own circadian rhythm; ensuring adequate vitamin D as well as natural melatonin production for its sleep and antiviral effects)
• Increasing your heart rate variability (for better stress resilience)
• Pampering (benefiting from mind-body medicine and oxytocin!)

With so many potential environmental exposures surrounding us these days, whether that be everyday toxins or new viruses such as the coronavirus we want our bodies to be strong and not have weakened immune systems (in particular if we have underlying health concerns).

VOLUME 105 | April 14, 2020

Hi Alexander,

Last week I did three days of water fasting, preceded by two days of Keto-Green Shake and bone broth fasting, and many in my Magic Menopause and Keto-Green community joined me with fabulous results! I then celebrated a wonderful Easter Sunday with my family and really took the time to reflect on what we are grateful for.

I cooked a delicious lamb roast, served with cauliflower mash, and our secret family recipe of Tabbouleh, made using sprouts instead of bulgur wheat or quinoa. We had some delicious wine and a very special time together.

Sitting around a small fire, I asked my daughters to project ahead six to nine months, and to think about how they will look back on this time of quarantine. What will they think about:
What they are so glad they did. 
The relationships formed. 
The time spent together. 
The projects accomplished. 
Their goals, dreams and aspirations. 
And with that reflection, try to create concrete steps to embrace this precious time we have together.

My girlfriends Sheri and Nancy always talk about visioning their dreams vs. goals. I shared their Pillar Life journal with my girls and we spent some time journaling.  I know that in six months, or however long, when I reflect back on this time, I will remember this day as very special, meaningful, and loving.

Memorial Day...
A day of remembrance, gratitude and fun.

Overflowing with generous gratitude for our veterans and their families as we celebrate Memorial Day this year. Thank you for all you do and have done!

This is the third Memorial Day without my amazing WW2 veteran father. My father, William V. Cabeca, Jr. served an illustrious career with U.S. armed forces, patriotically entering the U.S. Navy at 17 years old. Prior to his retirement he served as a Naval Attaché to the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, where he met my mom... And here I am!

Because of my parents' role model of patriotism, I worked as a civil servant for the US Navy in diving medicine and served the National Health Service Corps. I am proud to be a first generation American.

I do truly reflect on Memorial Day about the sacrifices that have been made for us to have such tremendous freedoms. The quarantining of all healthy people does seem extreme and not necessarily consistent with the science surrounding this pandemic. As our states and world open back up we do have to stay cognizant of our health and improve our immune system every day.

We must sleep well, eat well, move well, think well, feel well and look well to be well.

Hi Alexander,

This weekend was blessed and full. I shed tears. I mourned. I forgave myself. I asked for forgiveness. My bed broke.

Mother's Day is a mix of emotions since my mother passed away in 1997, and with my son's passing in 2006, it is easy to be immersed in grief. As a mom, specifically a single mom, it's so easy to focus on the many things that went wrong. There are a combination of heartbreaking conflicts and challenges -- and many times I wish I could take an action or reaction back.  

Yet, there are so many more moments of joy and laughter.  Surrounded by my four daughters sitting on my bed Sunday morning, as they all came to wish me Happy Mother's Day, I felt all the love and joy in the moment as we talked, laughed and drank coffee... then crash, my bed broke!  Symbolic.

Mother's Day felt like a perfect time to process, reflect, and cherish all the good in my life. I am thankful for the wisdom of menopause. Aging is truly such a gift, and I am grateful to be breezing through menopause and into my second spring. I hope you too are feeling strength, compassion and love.

Join me in my Keto-Green Community and for my weekly lives as we motivate each other.

Because I care about my community, and like any good mother, I won't always tell you what you want to hear. I will hold you accountable for your journey and commitment, and expect you to take responsibility for focusing on what is good, healthy, fair and right. I won't spoon feed you.

You are responsible for yourself. And with that said, I trust you to show up and do your best. Whining has to stop. So as a mom, a physician, a healer, I encourage you on your health journey.  I know what I offer works and Keto-Green 16 is a proven plan. This is the next step for some and a discovery for all.

We can then look back on this time and be proud of how we showed up and cared for ourselves and for others.
