Geocode by world city, country, or coordinate

You can use Map>New Map to geocode your locations by country, by world city/town, and by coordinate, and to create heat maps of your data by country. You can add global backgrounds via Map>Imagery.

There is also a Download Free Layers Add-In that allows you to create Country Packages for anywhere in the world using open source data, and which supports global geocoding of varying accuracy.

Tech Tip:
How do I change the map unit language and measurements?

Typically the map units displayed in the status bar and used in the legend are in miles or kilometers. You can change the default units as follows:

Choose Edit>Preferences to display the User Preferences dialog box.
Click the System tab.
Choose a unit of measure from the Map Units drop-down list, and optionally, choose the language to use in the legend for the units from the Language drop-down list.
