PRINTWORKS WINS 'BEST LARGE CLUB'

As we approach the end of a truly incredible year, we are humbled to have been awarded DJ Mag's Best Of British 2019 award for 'Best Large Club' - to the party-goers, the artists, the staff and everyone in-between, thank you for the support.

To close out the year, on Friday we welcomed Solomun for a sold-out four hour set and hosted a final techno marathon on Saturday with The Hydra, where Marcel Dettmann & DJ Stingray met for their first ever b2b.

Still to come are our sold-out New Year's Eve party with Glitterbox (ft. Basement Jaxx, The Shapeshifters and many more), plus our New Year's Day celebrations with the Armand Van Helden for the Defected Records crew before we bid farewell to 2019.

As we look ahead to the new year and an ensuing new wave of artists joining us, several of our 2020 shows have already sold out, including Maribou State, Hybrid Minds, Eric Prydz and Sub Focus.

DJ MAG'S BEST OF BRITISH AWARDS

DJ Mag's awards ceremony also saw well-deserved recognition for Sherelle (pictured above) as DJ Mag's 'Breakthrough DJ' of the year with 'Best Album' & 'Best Producer' accolades going to Paul Woolford's alter-ego Special Request. Both of these exciting artists join Rudimental at Major Tom's first Printworks takeover at Printworks next March.

Meanwhile, Solardo & Eli Brown shared the 'Best Track' award for their joint offering XTC, with the two superstar acts heading to the Press Halls in March for Green Velvet's La La Land showcase.

Picking up the 'Soldier of the Scene' Award was Defected's very own Simon Dunmore whose dogged determination, set alongside his mission to stay true to the label's house roots, has made him one of the most respected characters in the scene. He'll join us for our first show of the new decade this New Year's Day alongside Armand Van Helden & many more.

For a very special evening in March, Rudimental head to Printworks to make their Press Halls debut with Major Toms for a celebration in rave culture alongside DJs and producers who have been hand-picked by the Platinum award-winning troop.

Following on from this week's DJ Mag Best of British 2019 Awards, winners Sherelle and Paul Woolford are set to bring their full-throttle sounds to the booth in the company of the established Redlight and two-thirds of supergroup TQD in DJ Q & Flava D. Ahead of Rudimental's headline slot, Printworks will also welcome back dub heavyweight David Rodigan having featured at 25 Years of Metalheadz to raucous reception.

In the Dark Room, Rudimental ensures a party-atmosphere with selections provided by M.A.X, Emerald, Klose One, Cousn and Jamie 3:26, setting the foundation for eleven hours of high-energy beats.

We are honored to be hosting the main stage of Extrema Outdoor's 10th anniversary in Belgium this May, across the entire late bank holiday weekend.

Extrema Outdoor is an electronic music festival located in Houthalen-Helchteren in East Belgium. The pioneering festival will be welcoming over 70,000 visitors this May to mark their tenth anniversary which promises to be bigger than ever, with state-of-the-art production and their main stage, Distrikt 5, programmed by us.

PRINTWORKS AUTUMN/WINTER 2019

If you were one of the 150,000 dancers who joined us from September-December this year, we cannot thank you enough - your support means the world to us as we continue to grow & move into our fourth year as a music venue.

Having hosted 25 shows featuring over 250 of the very best producers and selectors from every corner of the world, the Printworks Autumn/Winter 2019 season was truly one for the books as we were treated to world exclusives and surprise sets throughout the final months of 2019, as well as brand-new immersive production and many Press Halls debuts.

DJ BONE AT THE HYDRA

"Serious partying (during the day no less) with the best crowd."

At The Hydra's final show of the year, Printworks played host to one of Detroit's finest - DJ Bone. Widely regarded as one of techno's leading lights, the revered vinyl technician has remained independent with an ethos of innovation and uncompromisingness to make him a true tour de force within the scene.

25 YEARS OF METALHEADZ DOCUMENTARY

"We retain the soul of integral drum & bass music."

Metalheadz founding father Goldie, Grooverider, DJ Randall & more spoke with DJ Mag behind the scenes at the label's momentous 25 year anniversary party at Printworks in October. One of our first shows of the season, the event was an eleven-hour celebration of the culture Metalheadz has grown and cultivated in its quarter-century history.

25 YEARS OF BUGGED OUT

EROL ALKAN'S 'BUGGED IN' MIX

"I wanted to start 2020 with something fresh, so here is a brand new 'Bugged In Mix'. I hope this mix can help soundtrack any come down, and ease you into the new year. If I were to try and explain myself as a DJ, then I see it this mix as a counterpart to the set I played in the Press Halls later that night."

To mark 25 Years of Bugged Out, Phantasy label boss and electro icon Erol Alkan joined us in the Dark Room booth for his first 'Bugged In' set in seven years - it's a journey through ambient electronica & more, a striking counterpart to his full-throttle set in the Press Halls later in the evening.

EXTREMA OUTDOOR ANNOUNCES FULL LINEUP

29.05.20 - 31.05.20

Acclaimed Belgian festival Extrema Outdoor have just announced the full lineup for this year, which will feature over XX of techno's most sought-after artists on 29th-31st May.

For their 10th edition, the festival has revealed a programme packed with Printworks favourites, including �me b2b Dixon, Amelie Lens, ANNA, Mall Grab, Hunee, Nastia, Solomun, Tale Of Us & many more.

The festival will mark Printworks' first ever international outing, as we take over the main stage - Distrikt 5 - across all three days of Extrema. The lineup for our stage will be revealed soon.

LOCATION

Nestled in a the beautiful location of De Plas in Houthalen-Helchteren, where dense forest surrounds a stunning, crystal clear lake, Extrema�s contemporary party paradise takes in seven music arenas from vast structures to intimate dancefloor moments, with plenty of surprises waiting to be discovered across the three-day festival.

Eurostar offer fast transport links to Belgium, with the journey from the UK capital to the festival taking less than five hours making it an easy weekend getaway from London.

Festival packages, including weekend camping and day tickets, are available now.

SPRING/SEASON OPENING WEEKEND

Last weekend we hosted the first shows of #PrintworksSS20, with two sold-out nights from Holy Goof and Maribou State welcoming a plethora of sounds to the Press Halls to welcome in our next season.

Printworks Presents, our first club show of the season, paid homage to the diversity of modern dance music. We welcomed Folamour keeping it fresh with funk-fuelled rhythms, Lil Silva speeding through UKG, a solo live set from Quantic which featured live instrumentals of his own productions Magdalena, Soul Clap & more.

Later in the night, DJ Seinfeld orbited through house & techno, we saw a special show from live electronic outfit Elder Island and headliners Maribou State closed the show in style, treating the crowd to hits Turnmills as well as all-time classics including Josh Wink's Higher State of Consciousness.

NEW SHOWS ANNOUNCED

PRINTWORKS SPRING/SUMMER 2020

New shows for our Spring/Summer 2020 season have just been revealed.

This season we welcome the return of one of the most influential imprints in house music, Defected. After their sold-out New Year's Day show the iconic label will be bringing Master's At Work legend Kenny Dope to the Press Halls alongside a tantalizing live performance from Inner City. Defected stalwarts Simon Dunmore and Sam Devine step up as Riva Starr, Catz 'N Dogz and more complete the bill for this star-studded Defected showcase.

La Discotheque will follow up their sold-out December show with a line up worthy of the Disco Gods. Nordic wizard of funk, Todd Terje heads up this one joined by South London musical don and La Discotheque favorite, Artwork. Another of Scandinavia's golden-boys, Prins Thomas will be dropping in with his cosmic take on house and disco that seems to effortlessly ooze from the Smalltown Supersound affiliate. Felix Dickinson and Hannah Holland head up our more intimate space, the Dark Room alongside PBR Streetgang and Krysko.

Following an epic sold out show last season, Solomun returns to the Press Halls for a colossal four hour set on Friday 3rd April. Having gained increasing recognition over the past few years, and now known as one of the most in-demand DJs of his generation, Solomun's show is yet again set to be a huge night.

For his third headline show in the Press Halls, the Diynamic label boss will once again bring the top-tier selections which have cemented his legendary status over the years to Printworks, alongside a carefully curated lineup which will be revealed soon.

AVA LONDON

30 YEARS OF ORBITAL

Orbital join us for two days next month for AVA London to celebrate their momentous 30 years in the game. The weekend will see the Belfast festival head to the capital for a free conference and club show.

As keynote speakers for the conference, Orbital line up alongside Ninja Tune founders Coldcut, Jayda G, Actress and more in addition to workshops and panels from Soundcloud, Resident Advisor, Abbey Road Studios, PRS For Music and many more.

The following day we return with a full club show featuring AVA favorites Overmono, Joy Orbison, Peach & Sally C as well as a typically strong contingent of Irish talent to see us through the night. The programme promises to span across a wide spectrum of underground experimental sounds, culminating in a live show from Orbital to close out the weekend.

Few artists master a pioneering sound like King Of The Rollers while keeping true to the roots of the craft. A foundation of jungle influences remain rampant in their production and DJ styles whilst moulding a new D+B movement. Serum, Voltage and Bladerunner have become figureheads individually, but together they are much more than the sum of their parts. Kings Of The Rollers head to Printworks this May alongside a host of dnb favourites including Inja, Unglued, Krust and many more.

Chief disco party-starters La Discoth?que are back this April, bringing with them a lineup bursting with flavour including Todd Terje, Artwork, Greg Wilson and many more.

A show that sells out every time and for good reason - La Discoth?que bring their unique touch to Printworks with each visit - the crew have previously brought a brand-new stage, dancers, performers and even aerialists suspended in front of our 12-metre LED screen to Printworks, creating a truly unique and inclusive experience for all.

Few labels champion house music quite like Defected Records. Their Printworks shows are fast becoming a highlight of every season, with top-tier selectors and an unbeatable energy on the dancefloor for a mammoth eleven hours of dance music.

For their next rendition, the Defected clan have booked none other than Kenny Dope and Inner City to make their Printworks debuts alongside stalwarts of the scene Monki, Sam Divine and many more.

Rudimental head to Printworks next month for what promises to be a roof-raising DJ set, bringing with them a lineup packed with diversity across the spheres of electronic music - DJ Mag''s Best Breakthrough DJ winner Sherelle makes her Printworks debut in the Press Halls to kick things off, followed by bassline, grime & garage experimentalist DJ Q, Paul Woolford, Flava D and very special guest David Rodigan.

Elsewhere, the Dark Room seeing Rinse FM favourite and recent 1Xtra affiliate Emerald, a secret intimate set from one of our headliners, house & disco champion Jamie 3:26 and much more across the day & night.

Completing the lineup for this Friday''s Annie Mac Presents show are none other than Disclosure & DJ Seinfeld. As a Printworks subscriber, you now have access to tickets for 24 hours ahead of tomorrow''s general sale.

An electronic music duo at the top of their game, we''ve wanted to host Disclosure at Printworks since our doors opened. DJ Seinfeld is a firm favourite in the Press Halls; his selections are consistently eclectic and deliver a "master class in wonky left-field house" (RA).

They join Annie Mac, Route 94, Nightmares On Wax & more at Printworks this Friday for the finale of Annie Mac Presents alongside a host of top-tier emerging talent including Nite Fleit, Loods, Leo Pol & Jaguar.
