We''re delighted to confirm, following the government''s announcement today putting London into Tier 2, we will be reopening next week with performances of A Christmas Carol from 3 December. We''ll do our best to spread the festive cheer this winter and have a whole host of things coming up to look forward to including Vox Motus'' Flight plus our series of late night burlesque shows with The Bridge After Dark. We continue to run as a COVID secure venue, following the safety and hygiene measures for businesses set out by the government in its performing arts guidance.

It''s hard to believe we''re half way through our repertoire and yet we''ve got so much more to come. Next week sees the start of our next two double bills of Talking Heads, followed by Yolanda Mercy''s Quarter Life Crisis the week after. There''s just six performances of Quarter Life Crisis so find out the details below, get yourself booked in and tell your friends to do the same. It''s set to be quite the socially distant party.

After a sell out performance in 2017, Yolanda Mercy is back with her hit theatre and radio show Quarter Life Crisis, mixing addictive baselines and spoken word.

Alicia is a hot mess. She doesn't know what she's doing with her life. Swiping left, swiping right to find the perfect match. Even though she's a Londoner, born and bred, the scent of Lagos peppers her existence in the ends. Everyone around her seems to know where they're going in life, but she's just trying to find ways to cheat growing up and keep her 16-25 railcard.

Turns out when you''ve got 12 one-person plays on the go time FLIES. Just like that it''s October which means our current shows will end this month. But fear not, it''s going to be a very exciting month and we''ve still got so much to look forward to. We really hope to see you along the way.

Rosemary recalls the morning she was accosted by her neighbour Fran, who'd shot her husband. Though she's been sexually abused for five years, Fran is given a two-year sentence; and as Rosemary's friendship with her deepens, she has to look again at her own marriage.

Miss Fozzard has a new chiropodist, Mr. Dunderdale, whose attention to her feet seems sometimes to go beyond the line of duty. Their weekly appointments soon raise the tricky question of who's treating whom?

We''re delighted that our co-presentation with Barbican had is first shows this week. A totally unique experience that doesn''t take place on our stage, but rather behind it. This picture by director Candice Edmunds shows the booths you''ll be sat alone in to watch this remarkable story unfold before you.

With their small inheritance stitched into their clothes, young Aryan and Kabir set off on an epic journey by foot from Kabul to London. Braving bustling train stations, hazardous sea crossings, menacing strangers and threats of violence, their heart wrenching story speaks of terror, hope and survival. Based on Caroline Brothers' novel Hinterland, Flight combines timely themes with engrossing images to honour the resilience of refugee children adrift in dangerous lands.

You'll be seated alone and given headphones for this intimate experience staged by Candice Edmunds and Jamie Harrison (magic and illusion designer for Harry Potter and The Cursed Child).

Dear Henry,

We are delighted to announce a repertoire of twelve one-person plays at The Bridge during September and October, using the theatre''s flexible auditorium to provide around 250 socially distanced seats.

Eight of the actors from the acclaimed series of Alan Bennett''s Talking Heads which we made for BBC One this summer will give their performances live on the Bridge stage. Three monologues - An Evening With An Immigrant, Quarter Life Crisis and Nine Lives - from Inua Ellams, Yolanda Mercy and Zodwa Nyoni will play alongside them. And we start with David Hare''s passionate Beat the Devil about his own experience with the virus and about the politics of its handling, performed by Ralph Fiennes.

The government is embarked on a phased return for the performing arts. We are hoping to get the go-ahead on or soon after the government''s present target of 15 August to open The Bridge with a reduced capacity and stringent safety measures.

We are opening our booking today for Priority Members. Advance Members booking will open from Wednesday 12 August at 10am and public booking from Thursday 13 August at 10am. Of course, if the season is delayed we will automatically refund tickets for any performances that can''t go ahead.

We''re overjoyed at the prospect of re-opening The Bridge after a hiatus of five months and very much hope you will join us.
