Micro Reports: most popular publications so far

Micro Reports are short research summaries of up to 1,200 words, ideal for publishing negative results, reproduced studies, smaller data sets which are still important but would not warrant a full research article, and brand new findings which should enter the public domain as soon as possible. Since the launch of this new article type, the journal has received 58 Micro Report submissions, with 24 publications to date. We’ve highlighted some of the most well-received Micro Reports so far. Springer Nature and Germany's Projekt DEAL Finalise World's Largest Transformative Open Access Agreement

On 9^th January, Springer Nature and MPDL Services GmbH on behalf of Projekt DEAL announced that they had signed the formal contract for the world’s largest transformative Open Access (OA) agreement to date. The agreement provides OA publishing services and full reading access to Springer Nature journals to scholars and students from across the German research landscape. Find out more

Sedentary behaviour on the rise across Europe

Research published in BMC Public Health suggests that sedentary behaviour has increased across Europe, with the number of European adults spending more than four-and-a-half hours sitting per day going up by 8% between 2002 and 2017.
