Shelton Woolright is a NZ born London based creative and multi-platinum selling recording artist and producer. Founding member of the iconic NZ group Blindspott, Shelton reached multiplatinum sales at a young age with the group�s first self titled album �Blindspott�, with gold singles such as Phlex and a platinum sophomore album via EMI Records. In 2014, Shelton moved to London and formed I Am Giant. I Am Giant�s first EP & debut album �The Horrifying Truth� both reached Gold sales via SONY Music, with video clips featuring Tony Hawk & Kelly Slater thanks to a sponsorship with Quiksilver & DC Skateboards. Currently combining his art direction, songwriting skills and production Shelton has once again emerged with a new alter ego DEADBEAT.

Get Phyiscal's boss DJ T has been a staple diet of all things house and techno for a very long time and his DJ sets are even more legendary if you have managed to catch one! We were lucky enough to catch him playing out of a DJ Booth installed into a grand piano under a crystal chandelier in some back alley of Melbourne up 4 flights of stairs on xmas night many moons ago and been a huge fan ever since. What we like even more is when a artist goes out of their way to do something a little different for their audience and thats exactly what DJ T has done here. A more Indie edged work out with an Eastern twist that will really make your DJ set just like DJ T's stand out this weekend! Enjoy the trip. DRW 5/5.

Relentless, dreamy & energetic masterpieces are just some of the ways to describe parts of the listening within but it's once you take a second bite that you really appreciate the masterclass Reeve shares with all and what techno will be all about in 2020 and beyond! ALISON WONDERLAND LOST MY MIND
With a sound as big as her name is punny, Alison Wonderland is a Sydney-based EDM producer and DJ who began her music career on the opposite side of the spectrum, as a classically trained cellist. Born Alexandra Sholler, she spent a few years DJ�ing before releasing her debut single, �Get Ready,� in 2013; then in 2014 she signed with the EMI label and released the ironically titled Calm Down. The EP earned accolades from tastemakers like Annie Mac and Diplo, and it featured the hit single �I Want U.� A year later she released her debut album, Run, which featured guest spots from Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips, Lido, and Slumberjack. The DJ celebrated the release with a series of launch parties at different strip bars dotted across Australia. Released in 2017, the single �Happy Place� revealed the first offering from Wonderland�s follow-up album, Awake.

THRILLER SERIES IS COMING TO NETFLIX
A new series set in Ibiza, White Lines, is coming to Netflix this month. When the body of a famous Manchester DJ is found on the White Isle two decades after his disappearance, his sister (Laura Haddock) returns in search of answers. The story unfolds in the Spanish island's criminal underworld, and its world-famous nightclubs. The series comes from the creator of popular crime drama/thriller Money Heist, ?lex Pina, and will land on Netflix on 15th May. The cast also includes Marta Milans, Juan Diego Botto, Nuno Lopes, Daniel Mays and Angela Griffin. As soon as I read the script, I just knew," says actor Daniel Mays, remembering his first encounter with Netflix mystery-thriller White Lines. "I got to the scene with the banana, the cocaine and the dogs and that was it: I was sold." In the eagerly-anticipated new show, which is already being hailed as the hit of the summer, Mays plays Marcus - a washed-up, 40-something DJ living in Ibiza who dabbles in drug-dealing to make ends meet. In episode one, we see Marcus' supplier deliver a giant, inflatable banana full of cocaine to his house. As Marcus tries to move it out of sight, the banana splits, leaving a trail of coke across his garden. Moments later, Marcus' dog starts to lap up the powder, before feeling the inevitable effects - and later collapsing.

This time round they come in the form of Nick Curly's 8 Bit record label and the timing of the collaboration couldn't be more perfect. Their tunes have been popular around Bali, that's a guarantee due to their sound fitting in perfectly with Bali's late night music trend being progressive and tribal since the early double 6 and beachside raving days. Auiojack's sound always take a bit more a percussive twist than most of the usual progressive sounds in recent times while getting a little more intelligent, deeper and emotive - perfect! Perched in a tucked-away spot mere metres from the water, Matador's Dublin-based workspace is enveloped by an abundance of nature and wildlife that serves as an endless source of inspiration for his production output. The album's 20 cuts are replete with organic sentiment; from indigenous birdsong, to breaking waves and blustery storms, an intimate retreat from every-day noise. GERMAN CLUBS HOST DRIVE-IN RAVES AMID CORONAVIRUS LOCKDOWN
Several clubs in Germany hosted "drive-in raves" last week as a way of circumventing lockdown restrictions. On 30th April at D?sseldorf's drive-in cinema, World Club Dome, hosted two drive-in parties with 1000 guests at each. In an area the size of two football fields, 500 cars with a driver and one passenger allowed in each arrived to catch sets from DJs Plastik Funk and Le Shuuk, who played in front of "the world's largest hydraulic screen" and accompanied by CO2 and fire cannons and a laser show. You can watch the full set here. Car windows had to stay shut during the event, while the music was transmitted through their radios. World Club Dome will return to D?sseldorf's drive-in cinema three more times in the next few weeks.

It is said that music has been used as a therapy since antiquity. Well, Peggy Gou understood the concept and decided to share what she's listening to on lockdown with Vogue. "This pandemic has made me realize so many new things it would be impossible to list them all, but I can say that I'm very grateful to have had the time to connect with who I really am, she said to Vogue, "Now is the time for me to do all the things that I wanted to work on before, but wasn't able to because of my busy schedule. So far, I have been more creative than ever." Named the "Gourantine playlist", the Korean DJ has selected 30 eclectic songs for your ears, featuring music from Aphex Twin, Four Tet, Santana, Nate Dogg, Aretha Franklin and Manu Dibango. From dub to techno without forgetting house, jazz, rock and soul music.

DAVID BOWIE''S STARDUST MOVIE SNEAK PREVIEW
The first look at Stardust, an upcoming film about David Bowie, is available to watch now. The film is set in 1971 around the time Bowie first visited the USA and was inspired to invent his Ziggy Stardust alter ego, telling the story of that specific section of the artist's life rather than a full biopic. It stars Johnny Flynn as the lead, Marc Maron plays his publicist Ron Oberman, and it is written and directed by Gabriel Range. Range said: "I set out to make a film about what makes someone become an artist; what actually drives them to make their art. "That someone is David Bowie . Someone I only ever saw at a great distance, behind a mask; a godlike, alien presence. Even in his perfectly choreographed death, he didn't seem like a regular human being." David Bowie's son Duncan Jones indicated the film has not been approved by the artist's family.

ARIANA GRANDE AND JUSTIN BIEBER ARE RELEASE SINGLE ''STICK WITH U'' FOR CHARITY
Pop music fans were sent into a tizzy when Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande interacted on Twitter, teasing that a special announcement was coming soon. Now, the pair have revealed what so many were hoping for: a collaboration, and their followers won't have to wait long to hear what they've cooked up. Titled "Stuck with U," the track is a brand new composition from the two powerhouses of pop, and it's coming on Friday, May 8. The musicians shared the official cover on their Instagram pages just a short time ago, confirming the fantastic news. A collaboration between two of the biggest stars on the planet is always going to be a major event, but their new single is made even more exciting due to the fact that it's all for a good cause.

LA CREATIVE STUDIO HAS DESIGNED A PANDEMIC-PROOF RAVING SUIT
Production Club has unveiled a design for a futuristic, pandemic-proof raving outfit called the Micrashell Futuresuit. The Los Angeles creative studio has previously produced interactive installations and bright light shows for the likes of Skrillex, SOPHIE and Grimes. Now the music events industry has been put on hold, the designers have diverted their attention to solutions for raving during times of pandemic. They include "phone integration, beverage and vape consumption, voice communication, a subwoofer sound system, etc.

#SAVEOURVENUES CAMPAIGN LAUNCHES AMID CORONAVIRUS LOCKDOWN
The UK's Music Venue Trust has launched the #saveourvenues campaign to raise funds and highlight the challenges faced by small music venues and clubs amid the coronavirus lockdown. Over 550 independent clubs and venues are at risk of permanent closure according to the Music Venue Trust. On its website, the team behind the campaign outlines the venues across the UK that are under threat. A crowdfunder has also been launched, which allows people to donate either to individual venues or to the overall campaign. "The situation is dire," the campaign's homepage reads. "Government support has been exhausted, and it now falls to artists, music fans, local communities and the wider industry to take action.

PLASTIC FOUND INSIDE DEAD GREEN SEA TURTLE WASHED UP ON BALI BEACH
A green sea turtle that washed up on a beach in Bali last week reportedly died on Tuesday. Local authorities suspect that it may have died due to accumulated plastic in its digestive system. "From the necropsy, all its other organs appear normal but in the intestines there were fishing lines, plastic," Permana Yudiarso, who heads the Coastal and Marine Resources Management Center (BPSPL) in Denpasar, told Kumparan. The turtle was found near Kelang Beach in Badung regency by a patrol team from the Indonesian Navy last Friday. They tried to release it further to the ocean, but the turtle only floated and did not try to swim away. It was then taken to the Turtle Conservation and Education Center in Serangan, Denpasar.

The world of tourism, including Indonesia prepare for a new normal era or the new normal Covid pandemics of the 19th. Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Wishnutama Kusubandio said, the Covid-19 pandemic has changed the patterns of interaction and socialization of the tourism industry. Facing this period, Menparekraf said that Bali had been prepared to become a new normal destination for Indonesia.The preparatory plan was revealed at a meeting of the Menparekraf with the DPR's Commission X, last weekend. The Menparekraf also said, Bali will immediately implement the CAN (clean, beautiful, healthy and safe) movement after the Covid-19 epidemic.

NEW MUSIC ON NHS CHARITY COMPILATION
The Chemical Brothers will feature on a new charity compilation. Released today via London label Above Board Projects' Bandcamp, 'CARE4LIFE' features over 40 production from both The Chemical Brothers and a more underground selection of artists, including Archie Hamilton, Daniel Avery, K-LONE, Jamie Jones, and Nightwave. Proceeds from the 45 track compilation of exclusive music will be donated to NHS Charities Together, who are currently working to provide, in their next round of funding, additional support they feel is most urgently needed by NHS staff, volunteers and patients in their area. They also place particular focus on support for people who are disproportionately affected by the pandemic, such as patients and staff from the BAME communities and other groups including those living with disabilities. "Through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic we have all developed a new understanding and awareness about the role our frontline health professionals undertake,"CARE4LIFE said in a press release, "and as a nation we are all united in our appreciation of the incredible work they have delivered in the face of much adversity and pressure in the last couple of months.

N.W.A''S ''''FUCK THA POLICE'' STREAM SURGE BY 272%
Streams of N.W.A's 'Fuck Tha Police' surged by 272% amid the George Floyd protests in recent days. Across last Sunday (31st May), and Monday (1st June) this week, Alpha Data, who provide information for the Rolling Stone charts, revealed that the song had 765,000 on demand audio streams in the 48-hour period. Originally released in 1988, 'Fuck Tha Police' lyrically protests police brutality and racial profiling, and provoked the FBI to write to N.W.A's record company claiming misrepresentation of the police. The protests have been taking place across the globe following the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man from Minnesota who was killed by a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, on Monday 25th May.

DJ STUCK ON A CRUISE SHIP FOR THREE MONTHS DUE TO COVID19 RESTRICTIONS
A DJ was stuck on a cruise ship for nearly three months due to coronavirus restrictions. Caio Saldanha, a Brazilian DJ, signed up to work on a 24-week run of shows aboard Celebrity Cruises' 1,000-foot Celebrity Infinity ship. The Trump administration issued a no-sail mandate on all boating on March 13th following the COVID-19 pandemic, the day before the Celebrity Infinity ship was set to depart from Florida's Tampa Bay. Saldanha, and his fiance who was on board the ship with him, were stuck in limbo for three months just off the Bay, and waiting to be repatriated to Brazil. Initially, cruise companies only expected to be shuttered for four weeks following the no-sail mandate, which meant crew stayed on board. But in April, the U.S. government pushed the date of the no-sail order back to late July.

THE GRAMMYS RULE BOOK NOW ONLINE: 12 RULES THAT MAY SUPRISE YOU
Don't trash-talk the competion and other Grammy rules. For the first time in its 63-year history, the Recording Academy posted its entire rule book online on Wednesday morning (June 10). (OK, there was no "online" for much of the Academy's history, but you get the point.) Under the direction of Harvey Mason, Jr., the Academy's chair and interim CEO/president, the organization is striving for greater transparency. Here are 12 rules that struck me as surprising or at least interesting as I read through the rulebook. Passages in quotation marks are taken straight from the rulebook. An album-defined: The rules state "To qualify as an album, a release must contain at least five tracks (different songs, not different mixes) and have a total playing time of at least 15 minutes or it may have any number of tracks if the total playing time is at least 30 minutes."

WARNER MUSIC ANNOUNCE $100 MILLION FUND SUPPORTING SOCIAL JUSTICE
Warner (WMG) has announced a RP 100 million fund to support social justice and campaign against racism. WMG, who were recently called to show their donations by Canadian artist The Weeknd, has announced the fund will go towards supporting "charitable causes related to the music industry, social justice and campaigns against violence and racism." YOUTUBE ADDS CHAPTERS FEATURE TO DESKTOP AND MOBILE

YouTube announced a new "chapters" feature for its platform that allows users to easily navigate sections of a longer video. Following a positive testing period for the feature, YouTube has stated it will apply "chapters" permanently this week. The new feature is available on desktop as well as on the Android and Apple iOS YouTube apps. Viewers will be available to use the duration bar to click through various sections of a video, which is more convenient than scrubbing throughout a video to find particular moments. Chapters are visible at the bottom of the video player and show timestamps from the video description. However, chapters are optional.

At first, we were reluctant to listen to another Fisher release but pressed the play button and can confirm we are giving this one our tick of approval.Tension, dark and driving while still keeping all the quirkiness of Australia's favorite party lunatic. The sinister and atmospheric chord work really makesthis pop out for us as it builds anticipation through each drop and chorus bridging together another destined global hit for Fisher. His label Catch & Releasecan do no wrong and you can bet this one's going to taking over all sorts of listening devices, home broadcast and Spotify playlists as we gear up for a few weeks of lockdown ahead of us all. Another pleasant surprise this week while searching for tunes for the longer than usual listening hours ahead was this perfect matching from Jody Wisternoff in the form of his latest extended player offering. First up, the title track,employs the vocals from Jinadu we drift of into the feel-good vibes that Anjunadeep are renowned for. 'Emochine' steps up the place next keeping in the same emotive theme but taking the energy up a notch with percussive trademark after the melody does its job thru the course of the journey. Rounding things out Jody teams up with Anjunabeats royalty James Grant and does exactly what the title 'Nightwhisper' suggests, taking us home after a big day at the office, by the beach or where ever you find yourself fortunate enough to be listening to another masterpiece courtesy of some of the biggest stars of all things progressive.

Koyuki is Indonesia's answer to bass music! Not one to go bandwagon jumping with the last genre in vogue she has stuck to her guns and now the dedication to her craft and sound is paying dividends. From chilled out Liquid Drum & Bass to peak time bass heavy beach rave sets she does it all on a nightly basis and there is no signs of her slowing down. Armed with a vinyl set up, a music collection most DJs could only dream about sourcing and the skills to match - Koyuki is the real deal and coming to rinse a dancefloor near you. I was born in 1982 in a small city on java near Bandung, called Purwakarta. At the age of 10 i started singing in my hometown. when i was 12 years old i won a singing competition in bandung. From that point i started to perform a lot in the region. I combined singing with playing the guitar in the first years.

150 THOUSAND COVID-19 TEST KITS HAVE ARRIVED FROM CHINA
Approximately 150,000 test kits to detect the Covid-19 coronavirus from China have now arrived in Indonesia. The equipment was picked up by a C130 Hercules belonging to the Indonesian Army (TNI) which departed on Saturday (3/21). Based on information submitted by the Air Force Information Service (DISPENAU), a C130 Hercules Aircraft from the 32nd Air Wing 2nd Squadron, Abdulrachman Saleh Airstrip took off at 06.55 West Indonesia Time to the RSA Airstrip in Ranai Natuna (Riau Islands) before finally taking off to Shanghai, China at 11:40 Western Indonesian Time. The Government Spokesperson for handling Covid-19, Achmad Yurianto said that with the availability of this tool, examination and handling of the Covid-19 coronavirus in Indonesia

A Prince tribute concert recorded earlier this year is to be broadcast on US TV next month. THREE STAGE TO BALI TOURISM RECOVERY
While Bali's tourism industry is now right down in the dumps, with close to zero tourists on the island due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Head of the Bali Tourism Office, Putu Astawa, has stated that they will not allow tourism to stay down for too long. He told the press this morning, Thursday (9/4) that the government has now prepared three strategies to find our way back to normal. For now, we remain at the first stage, with the government continuing to implement their present emergency response to the pandemic. This includes carrying out the mitigation and care of COVID-19 patients in hospitals on the island. The socializing and education of the public regarding COVID-19 prevention; the applying of social and physical distancing, etc.

APPLE AND GOOGLE PARTNER ON COVID-19 CONTACT TRACING TECHNOLOGY
Apple and Google are working together on a new technology to track the spread of the coronavirus using Bluetooth. Users who opt in would be able to receive alerts if they have might have come into contact with an infected person. Both companies have reiterated that the system was being designed with privacy in mind. Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories. Google and Apple on Friday announced a joint effort to help governments and health agencies track the spread of the coronavirus through Bluetooth technology. The new Bluetooth protocol, which the companies are calling Contact Tracing, could alert participants via their smartphone if they might have come into contact with an infected person.

FATBOY SLIM ANNOUNCES FREE LIVE SHOW FOR NHS STAFF
Fatboy Slim has announced he will play a free live show for NHS staff at the Brighton Centre on Wednesday 28th October 2020. The show, advertised under the title NHS: I Have To Praise You Like I Should (a play on the lyrics of his 1999 hit 'Praise You'), is billed as a "party for all NHS and blue light staff to say thank you" for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets will be free and applications, open only to NHS and blue light staff, open this Friday 17th April at 7pm here. DAVID GUETTA RAISES $700,000 FOR COVID-19 AT HOME LIVE STREAM
Although the COVID-19 pandemic has effectively put the live music industry on hold, many artists are using their platform and streaming technology to both entertain fans stuck at home and raise money for charity. David Guetta took things to the next level with Saturday's United at Home live stream. Eschewing the use of an indoor setup, which the vast majority of DJs have utilized, he performed outdoors in Miami with festival-grade production. Since the Corona epidemic hit this beautiful island, Bali is limiting tourist activities, restaurants have to closed.

ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM "ENERGY"
Disclosure are an English electronic music duo, consisting of brothers Guy (born 25 May 1991) and Howard (born 11 May 1994) Lawrence. The siblings grew up in Reigate, Surrey and currently live in London. Their debut and sophomore no.1 albums 'Settle' & 'Caracal' were both released through PMR records. The duo are currently touring all over the world. Disclosure will release their third album 'ENERGY' on 28th August. It marks the Lawrence brothers' first new album in five years, following 2015's 'Caracal', and comprises 11 tracks featuring a wide array of collaborators. The more melodic based Pryda imprint showcases his early house influences with harmonies, melodies and hooks fused with his trademark powerful basslines. Pryda & Mouseville are solely for Eric's own productions, vehicles to develop his sound a sound that has become so influential, constantly imitated and copied but yet to be bettered. Eric Prydz has dropped two brand new tracks under his Cirez D alias. Having teased the tracks earlier this month, the Swedish titan has now released 'Valborg' and 'The Raid' via his own Mouseville Records, under his techno-focussed moniker.

DEADMAU5 & THE NEPTUNES JOIN FORCES ON SUMMER ANTHEM "POMEGRANATE"

The masked mau5 has teamed up with The Neptunes, the celebrated production duo of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, for his new single. 'Pomegranate' possesses the bouncy funk flair we've come to expect from Pharrell, and especially reminiscent of his various Daft Punk collabs, but it's new territory for Deadmau5. The track leans closer to the realm of silky RnB-pop than the festival-ready EDM the American producer's made his name on. But hey, it works, and it's definitely a grower. Wu-Tang Clan have launched their own brand of hand sanitiser, "Protect ya hands". The product is part of "A Better Tomorrow", a new collection from the legendary hip-hop group raising funds for several Ottawa-based charities: the Ottawa Food Bank, Ottawa Mission and the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. A play on the title of their 1993 breakthrough track 'Protect Ya Neck', the hand sanitiser is one product in a line that also includes an Ottawa x Wu-Tang Clan shirt, and a Korean meal kit in partnership with Pure Kitchen. David Guetta is set to play another charity live stream this month, raising funds for COVID-19 relief. Taking place on 30th May in New York, Guetta's second United At Home stream will take place in an iconic location that will be revealed on the day. All donations made during the stream will go toward the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, Feeding America, the World Health Organization, and Fondation H?pitaux de Paris - H?pitaux de France. TECHNICS UNVEILS LIMITED EDITION SL-1210GAE TURNTABLE
A new limited edition Technics SL-1210GAe turntable is being released to mark the 55th anniversary of the hardware company in June. Only 1000 units of the all-black model will be on sale, with each featuring a badge inscribed with a unique serial. The turntable will be priced at ?3,999. Some 1,500 artists backing #LetTheMusicPlay warn of 'mass insolvencies' from ongoing concert lockdowns due to COVID-19. Some of the U.K.'s biggest music stars are pleading with their government to come to the aid of the ?4.5 billion (RP 5.6 billion) live music sector during the coronavirus lockdown, warning that government support is vital to prevent "mass insolvencies." A group of 1,500 artists - including Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, The Rolling Stones, Rita Ora and many others - signed a letter to Oliver Dowden, the secretary of state for digital, culture, media and sport, urging the government to create a funding package for the live sector similar to what Germany's government did last month. "With no end to social distancing in sight or financial support from government yet agreed, the future for concerts and festivals and the hundreds of thousands of people who work in them looks bleak," the artists said in the joint letter.

On the track, Public Enemy speak about the current White House administration and police brutality against Black Americans, and shared the video alongside visuals featuring footage from recent BLM protests, where the group's 'Fight the Power' saw an 89% surge in streams amid the ongoing movement. The protests have been taking place globally since the end of May, following the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who was killed by white police officer, Derek Chauvin.

KUTA BEACH WILL OPEN ON JULY 9 WITH NEW NORMAL CHANGES

Kuta Beach will officially open to the public on Thursday, July 9. The local village, which managers Kuta Beach, say they have prepared various facilities and changes according to the Covid-19 health protocol, to welcome the new normal on the world famous beach. To begin with they want to organize the beachside traders. Although the beach is open to the public, local traders will not yet be allowed onto the beach to sell their wares. Traders will be allowed to sell again once the customary village has finished arranging their situation. Head of Kuta Village, I Wayan Wasista, explained to Nusa Bali that at the opening day of the Kuta Beach area, traders will not be permitted on to the beach.

INDIA BANS TIKTOK, DOZENS MORE CHINESE APPS AMID BORDER STANDOFF
NEW DELHI (AP) - Indian TikTok users awoke Tuesday to a notice from the popular short-video app saying their data would be transferred to an Irish subsidiary, a response to India's ban on dozens of Chinese apps amid a military standoff between the two countries. The quick workaround showed the ban was largely symbolic since the apps can't be automatically erased from devices where they are already downloaded, and is a response to a border clash with China where 20 Indian soldiers died earlier this month, digital experts said. "They want to send a message. This is a decision based on a geopolitical situation," said digital rights activist Nikhil Pahwa. Indian protesters have been calling for a boycott.

A viral moment, courtesy of Soulja Boy's bewilderment that fellow rapper Tyga had a bigger comeback than him last year, has left the latter unfazed. Tyga simply lets his music to the talking. And musically, Tyga has had one hell of a year. The upbeat, catchy and contagious anthem "Taste," featuring Offset, rose above the noise in 2018, becoming a top contender for song of the summer. You know when you see something appear on FCKING SERIOUS it''s worth taking a listen and what a first listen it is! Driving, melodic and sinister is the theme as Ann Clue goes to work across 3 equally big techno workouts that are all about the driving bass. The Kick drum seems that bit more pounding as it accompanies an even deeper bassline in ''State of Mind'', really enhancing the listening experience when it drops. The title track offers more emotive melody work, exploring darker space but once again that low-end frequency work just keeps haunting us. Finishing things, the aptly titled "Outro'' steers away from the heavy driven vibe, delivering more melody work, rounding out easily Ann Clue''s finest work to date - taking her shows to even further corners of the globe in 2020. MIDLAND YOUR WORDS MATTER
Through his productions, DJ sets and record labels, Midland's output comes across as unassuming and surprising in equal measure, at once subtle, refined and totally raucous. Midland's production style has nimbly evolved from one record to the next. "Your Words Matter" his collaboration with Pearson Sound (then Ramadanman), set the tone for his long-lasting relationship with Aus Music:- stripped-back, garage-flavored house, which also characterized his 2011 single "Bring Joy" on More Music. Soon after, though, he flipped the script, joining forces with Pariah for a scuffed-up techno EP that formed part of the She works series on Karenn's Works The Long Nights label. This dark turn continued on what may have been his breakthrough track, "Trace", a warped after-hours tune that seemed to emanate from the deepest corners of the subconscious.

Today (June 24) DJ Snake dropped a new single "Trust Nobody", which effectively nails the doomy vibe of the current moment with brick hard beats, sirens and vocals that focus on how you can't trust anyone.like, nobody. Altogether these elements amalgamate into a massive anthem that would certainly get tens of thousands of heads banging if DJ Snake were able to play it live this summer. Alas, as that form of collective catharsis is currently unavailable, we recommend that you just turn this one up as loud as is appropriate to your current surroundings and just headbang by yourself or with a group of socially distanced friends. You may also consider turning it up in your headphones and just running as fast as you can for as long as you can. Another option is to blast it through your car speakers while driving.

CALVIN HARRIS DEFECTED DEBUT ''LIVE WITHOUT YOUR LOVE''
Scottish producer and DJ Calvin Harris went from self-releasing his music online to selling millions in the 2000s and 2010s with radio-friendly, electronic dance crossover anthems. Last month, Defected shared a letter that head honcho Simon Dunmore had penned to Harris in 1999, in response to a demo CD the then 15-year-old Scottish producer had sent to the label. Now, 21 years later, Harris will make his debut on Defected alongside The Internet's Steve Lacy, with new track 'Live Without Your Love'. Speaking about the track, Simon Dunmore said: "I heard 'Live Without Your Love', reached out and our discussions led to our involvement on the project. I am all about long term relationships and the fact that Calvin remembers our first exchanges says so much to me, and clearly demonstrates that first impressions are lasting impressions."

CHEMICAL BROTHERS NEW MUSIC ON NHS CHARITY COMPILATION
The Chemical Brothers will feature on a new charity compilation. Released today via London label Above Board Projects' Bandcamp, 'CARE4LIFE' features over 40 production from both The Chemical Brothers and a more underground selection of artists, including Archie Hamilton, Daniel Avery, K-LONE, Jamie Jones, and Nightwave. Proceeds from the 45 track compilation of exclusive music will be donated to NHS Charities Together, who are currently working to provide, in their next round of funding, additional support they feel is most urgently needed by NHS staff, volunteers and patients in their area. They also place particular focus on support for people who are disproportionately affected by the pandemic, such as patients and staff from the BAME communities and other groups including those living with disabilities.

PARADIGM SHIFT: BALI MOVES TO DEVELOP INDUSTRIAL ZONES

Tourism is a double-edged sword. When times are good and visitor numbers are high, stakeholders are more than happy to reap the rewards. But when times take a different direction and the world's economy grinds to an unprecedented halt, tourism - and the money it generates - can quite literally stop overnight and so can a lot of people's livelihoods. Bali's dependency on the tourism industry is a case in point. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Bank Indonesia (BI) claim "tourism contributes between 54 percent and 58 percent to the province's economy" according to a recent article in Coconuts Bali. Some observers would suggest between 60 to 70-percent of the island's population are somehow involved with tourism.

YOUTUBE ADDS CHAPTERS FEATURE TO DESKTOP AND MOBILE
YouTube announced a new "chapters" feature for its platform that allows users to easily navigate sections of a longer video. Following a positive testing period for the feature, YouTube has stated it will apply "chapters" permanently this week. The new feature is available on desktop as well as on the Android and Apple iOS YouTube apps. Viewers will be available to use the duration bar to click through various sections of a video, which is more convenient than scrubbing throughout a video to find particular moments. Chapters are visible at the bottom of the video player and show timestamps from the video description. However, chapters are optional.

LONDON DESIGN MUSEUM OPENS WITH KRAFTWERK''S SOUND EXHIBITION
A programmed exhibition about the history of electronic music is opening today at London's Design Museum. The exhibition, titled 'Electronic: From Kraftwerk to The Chemical Brothers', was originally scheduled to take place from 1st April to 26th July, but was postponed in March as exhibition spaces closed their doors due to the spread of coronavirus. It will explore the "hypnotic world of electronic music" and "discover its global impact from underground movements to the mainstream," and features appearances from the likes of Jeff Mills, Ellen Allien, Jean-Michel Jarre and more. It will also feature a 3-D experience surrounding electronic pioneers Kraftwerk, with the installation soundtracked by legendary DJ and producer, Laurent Garnier.

Following the reissue of Prince's 'The Versace Experience (PRELUDE 2 GOLD)', 'Chaos and Disorder' and 'Emancipation' via Sony Legacy in 2019, the late artist's estate have now shared a previously unreleased track, 'Cosmic Day'. 'Cosmic Day' was recorded at Sunset Sound in 1986, and will appear on a highly-anticipated 'Sign O' The Times' reissue due out in September. CARL COX NAMED OFFICIAL ASSOCIATE FOR LONDON MOTOR SHOW 2021
The techno legend's love of cars is no secret, and in 2013 he launched his own Carl Cox Motorsport brand to represent drivers and teams in various areas of racing. From 16 - 18 July 2021, the London Motor Show will take place in Battersea Park and Cox will be bringing plenty of vehicles from his own famed car collection, as well as showcasing the brand itself. He will, of course, also be DJing the event. He added: "Carl himself is a first-class driver and a rider having clocked up an eye watering 235mph earlier this year in New Zealand." This puts economic strain on not only the performing artists, event organizers, and the teams involved, but also on anyone with flights, hotels, and festival tickets already booked and paid for months in advance, now struggling to get info in time to get their bookings refunded. To help everyone stay on top of things, Slovenia-based music data company Viberate has put together a comprehensive list at www.sickfestivals.com, updated daily. The service monitors around 5,000 festivals worldwide and lets you know which ones are canceled or postponed, so you can plan accordingly. 150 THOUSAND COVID-19 TEST KITS HAVE ARRIVED FROM CHINA
Approximately 150,000 test kits to detect the Covid-19 coronavirus from China have now arrived in Indonesia. The equipment was picked up by a C130 Hercules belonging to the Indonesian Army (TNI) which departed on Saturday (3/21). Based on information submitted by the Air Force Information Service (DISPENAU), a C130 Hercules Aircraft from the 32nd Air Wing 2nd Squadron, Abdulrachman Saleh Airstrip took off at 06.55 West Indonesia Time to the RSA Airstrip in Ranai Natuna (Riau Islands) before finally taking off to Shanghai, China at 11:40 Western Indonesian Time. The Government Spokesperson for handling Covid-19, Achmad Yurianto said that with the availability of this tool, examination and handling of the Covid-19 coronavirus in Indonesia

At first, we were reluctant to listen to another Fisher release but pressed the play button and can confirm we are giving this one our tick of approval.Tension, dark and driving while still keeping all the quirkiness of Australia's favorite party lunatic. The sinister and atmospheric chord work really makesthis pop out for us as it builds anticipation through each drop and chorus bridging together another destined global hit for Fisher. His label Catch & Releasecan do no wrong and you can bet this one's going to taking over all sorts of listening devices, home broadcast and Spotify playlists as we gear up for a few weeks of lockdown ahead of us all. Another pleasant surprise this week while searching for tunes for the longer than usual listening hours ahead was this perfect matching from Jody Wisternoff in the form of his latest extended player offering. First up, the title track,employs the vocals from Jinadu we drift of into the feel-good vibes that Anjunadeep are renowned for. 'Emochine' steps up the place next keeping in the same emotive theme but taking the energy up a notch with percussive trademark after the melody does its job thru the course of the journey. Rounding things out Jody teams up with Anjunabeats royalty James Grant and does exactly what the title 'Nightwhisper' suggests, taking us home after a big day at the office, by the beach or where ever you find yourself fortunate enough to be listening to another masterpiece courtesy of some of the biggest stars of all things progressive.

KOYUKI CRAFT AND SOUND
Koyuki is Indonesia's answer to bass music! Not one to go bandwagon jumping with the last genre in vogue she has stuck to her guns and now the dedication to her craft and sound is paying dividends. From chilled out Liquid Drum & Bass to peak time bass heavy beach rave sets she does it all on a nightly basis and there is no signs of her slowing down. Armed with a vinyl set up, a music collection most DJs could only dream about sourcing and the skills to match - Koyuki is the real deal and coming to rinse a dancefloor near you. I was born in 1982 in a small city on java near Bandung, called Purwakarta. At the age of 10 i started singing in my hometown. when i was 12 years old i won a singing competition in bandung. From that point i started to perform a lot in the region. I combined singing with playing the guitar in the first years.

OXIA TIDES OF MIND
OXIA is one France's most respected DJs and producers, with a career spanning over twenty years and intensive touring on all continents. He has built an impressive list of remixes and releases on respected imprints such as Kompakt, Hot Creations, 8bit, Knee Deep In Sound, Saved. In addition to his own label Diversions Music. The Frenchman released his debut album '24 Heures' on Goodlife in 2004 and his second widely acclaimed album 'Tides Of Mind' was released in 2012 on Infine. Several collaborations were established as well, with Miss Kittin, Agoria, or Nicolas Masseyeff. With the latter OXIA also launched Diversions Music in 2016. In 2017, OXIA's classic hit "Domino" (more than 40 million views on YouTube) was re-released on Sapiens, and came with a number of very successful remixes. Driving, melodic and sinister is the theme as Ann Clue goes to work across 3 equally big techno workouts that are all about the driving bass. The Kick drum seems that bit more pounding as it accompanies an even deeper bassline in ''State of Mind'', really enhancing the listening experience when it drops. The title track offers more emotive melody work, exploring darker space but once again that low-end frequency work just keeps haunting us. Finishing things, the aptly titled "Outro'' steers away from the heavy driven vibe, delivering more melody work, rounding out easily Ann Clue''s finest work to date - taking her shows to even further corners of the globe in 2020. RED BULL CLIFF DIVING
Nusa Penida, with its panoramic sea views and challenging cliffs, has attracted an energy drink company to hold a world-class event there. The 2020 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, a competition that has participation from professional athletes from the world, will be held at Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, on May 15-16, 2020. The plan was announced by Red Bull Indonesia's Marketing Manager, Myra Carmia, during a meeting with Klungkung Regent, I Nyoman Suwirta, in Klungkung, Bali on Wednesday. The series of competitions will be held in eight countries, which include Indonesia, France, USA, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Bosnia, and Australia. She also said that they have chosen two locations for four rounds of competition, which are Kelingking Beach and Aling-Aling Waterfall

COLLABORATING WITH THE BEACH BOYS'' BRUCE JOHNSTON
Skrillex has been in the studio with The Beach Boys' Bruce Johnston. Following the release of his collaborative effort 'Ego Death' with Ty Dolla RP ign, Kanye West & FKA Twigs earlier this month, Skrillex has been spotted in the studio alongside Heavy Mellow and Bruce Johnston from The Beach Boys. In a video posted to sound engineer Colt B.'s instagram story, Skrillex can be seen in the studio alongside Johnston, who has done vocals, keyboards, bass, and percussion for The Beach Boys since the '60s. Earlier this year, Skrillex announced earlier this year that a new album is "almost finished", while also revealing in February that he was working on new music with Noisia. The US bass star teased a collaboration at 808 Festival alongside Softest Hard in Bangkok last year.

Armin van Buuren will drop a new EP of unreleased music later this month. Announced via the ASOT Live Instagram account, new EP 'Lost Tapes' will be released on the 31st July, and follows the trance legend's announcement of a new album coming soon. MICHAEL JACKSON ESTATE''S BATTLE WITH EX MANAGER
Michael Jackson's ex-manager Tohme Tohme's longstanding legal war with the King of Pop's estate has ended as a California judge ruled that he's owed the RP 3 million he was promised in a 2019 settlement even though the deal was never finalized in writing. Tohme first sued the estate in 2012. He claimed he's owed a 15 percent commission on compensation Jackson received during his last year of his life, plus a cut of the hugely successful concert film This Is It, which was released a few months after the singer's death, and a finder's fee for securing a loan that prevented foreclosure on Neverland Ranch. It seemed the feud was ending a year ago when the parties reached a settlement mid-trial in May 2019 - but they struggled to agree upon a written version and Tohme sued again.

BALI WILL OPEN TO FOREIGN TOURIST ON SEPT 11, 2020

The three stages, Koster pointed out, are still in the form of a plan as authorities are still observing the development of the corona virus cases in Bali. "Through the Yadnya Pamahayu Jagat ceremony, we seek the permission, blessing, guidance, and protection of monk Ida Bhatara Bhatari Sasvest so that he may bestow his grace so that the three stages can work smoothly and successfully with the implementation of the New Era of Life Protocol in Bali," the governor said in a release on the Bali provincial government Facebook page. Tourists from outside the island will be able to visit when the second phase is implemented on Friday, 31 July 2020, and foreign tourists can return to Bali with the third phrase of reopening starting on Friday, September 11, 2020.

At first, we were reluctant to listen to another Fisher release but pressed the play button and can confirm we are giving this one our tick of approval.Tension, dark and driving while still keeping all the quirkiness of Australia's favorite party lunatic. The sinister and atmospheric chord work really makesthis pop out for us as it builds anticipation through each drop and chorus bridging together another destined global hit for Fisher. His label Catch & Releasecan do no wrong and you can bet this one's going to taking over all sorts of listening devices, home broadcast and Spotify playlists as we gear up for a few weeks of lockdown ahead of us all. Another pleasant surprise this week while searching for tunes for the longer than usual listening hours ahead was this perfect matching from Jody Wisternoff in the form of his latest extended player offering. First up, the title track,employs the vocals from Jinadu we drift of into the feel-good vibes that Anjunadeep are renowned for. 'Emochine' steps up the place next keeping in the same emotive theme but taking the energy up a notch with percussive trademark after the melody does its job thru the course of the journey. Rounding things out Jody teams up with Anjunabeats royalty James Grant and does exactly what the title 'Nightwhisper' suggests, taking us home after a big day at the office, by the beach or where ever you find yourself fortunate enough to be listening to another masterpiece courtesy of some of the biggest stars of all things progressive.

KOYUKI CRAFT AND SOUND
Koyuki is Indonesia's answer to bass music! Not one to go bandwagon jumping with the last genre in vogue she has stuck to her guns and now the dedication to her craft and sound is paying dividends. From chilled out Liquid Drum & Bass to peak time bass heavy beach rave sets she does it all on a nightly basis and there is no signs of her slowing down. Armed with a vinyl set up, a music collection most DJs could only dream about sourcing and the skills to match - Koyuki is the real deal and coming to rinse a dancefloor near you. I was born in 1982 in a small city on java near Bandung, called Purwakarta. At the age of 10 i started singing in my hometown. when i was 12 years old i won a singing competition in bandung. From that point i started to perform a lot in the region. I combined singing with playing the guitar in the first years.

Approximately 150,000 test kits to detect the Covid-19 coronavirus from China have now arrived in Indonesia. The equipment was picked up by a C130 Hercules belonging to the Indonesian Army (TNI) which departed on Saturday (3/21). Based on information submitted by the Air Force Information Service (DISPENAU), a C130 Hercules Aircraft from the 32nd Air Wing 2nd Squadron, Abdulrachman Saleh Airstrip took off at 06.55 West Indonesia Time to the RSA Airstrip in Ranai Natuna (Riau Islands) before finally taking off to Shanghai, China at 11:40 Western Indonesian Time. The Government Spokesperson for handling Covid-19, Achmad Yurianto said that with the availability of this tool, examination and handling of the Covid-19 coronavirus in Indonesia

The opening and title track suggests exactly what it does 'Piano Lessons' delivers a schooling on how to take a few simple notes and turn it into a deep and drifty journey that will own the sunsets across Bali in 2020. On the flip "Wonderful People' goes even deeper but takes on a lot more crisp percussion elements and anticipation while still holding the dreamy theme of the entire release. It's safe to say that Ben Rau and Jansons are two artists very much on the rise in their own right. This creative partnership was born after being invited by Richy Ahmed to play a 'Four Thirty Two' showcase. Quickly realizing that they had a common ethos to their creative approach in the studio, it was a natural progression to collaborate. The result is something magical - and a perfect fit for Hot Since 82's 'Knee Deep In Sound'. The Player is based around a 303esque lead & the Jansons vocal that keeps giving the vibes from go to wo! Almost hidden layers, FX work with the vocal and lower impact production work are what really makes this a masterpiece and Ben's first top 10 entry for 2020. AND DMX NEXT UP VERZUZ RAP BATTLE
Music producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland created "Verzuz" to bring joy and entertainment to millions of hip-hop and R&B fans stuck indoors due to the coronavirus pandemic. But they may have ended up spawning a new cultural touchstone. The idea was simple: Pit two of the biggest names in music against each other on Instagram Live for a friendly head-to-head battle. No one would actually be declared the winner. But fans could hear their favorite songs and endlessly argue over who had better hits. The performances are powerful, the format is sometimes glitchy and the audience is altogether hilarious. In short, it's a good time. And given the tragedy unfolding around us, Verzuz is a welcome distraction. Viewers tune in for the talent and songs, but especially for the comments section, where they often poke fun at the artists and their performances. Whether it's technology issues, song choice or even what the artists are wearing, folks on social media come ready with the jokes. Like when Teddy Riley and Babyface got roasted for their age and inability to use Instagram during their first attempt at a Verzuz battle.

On July 25, The Chainsmokers are bringing the people of posh Long Island enclave The Hamptons a bit "closer" through a drive-in performance for charity. Produced by luxury travel and lifestyle agency In the Know Experiences and presented by Jaja Tequila - a small batch spirit brand in which the duo are stakeholders - the show will raise money for myriad charities and include a host of talent playing for the socially distanced audience.

MICHAEL JACKSON ESTATE''S BATTLE WITH EX MANAGER
Michael Jackson's ex-manager Tohme Tohme's longstanding legal war with the King of Pop's estate has ended as a California judge ruled that he's owed the RP 3 million he was promised in a 2019 settlement even though the deal was never finalized in writing. Tohme first sued the estate in 2012. He claimed he's owed a 15 percent commission on compensation Jackson received during his last year of his life, plus a cut of the hugely successful concert film This Is It, which was released a few months after the singer's death, and a finder's fee for securing a loan that prevented foreclosure on Neverland Ranch. It seemed the feud was ending a year ago when the parties reached a settlement mid-trial in May 2019 - but they struggled to agree upon a written version and Tohme sued again.

GOLDIE OPENS ART GALLERY IN THAILAND
In the same way that hip-hop was the soundtrack to graffiti culture in the US, drum 'n' bass was the soundtrack to street art in the UK - and Goldie was an architect of that golden era. In the three decade long odyssey that ensued, Clifford Joseph Price has been bubbling as a cultural clout: a DJ, artist, label owner, actor, director, composer, yogi and aerosol master. The man has a seemingly endless supply of hats and is inherently deserving of the most hackneyed label of all time: Goldie is a fucking legend. During the 30+ years he's been active, Goldie has punctuated the crossover between dance music and art while changing the face of street culture, moving a younger and underprivileged generation away from the shadow of drugs and crime and instead focused on art.

DAFT PUNK DISNEY WANTS DAFT PUNK TO SOUNDTRACK PLANNED TRON SEQUEL
Disney wants Daft Punk to soundtrack a planned Tron sequel. In a recent episode of Light The Fuse, a weekly podcast about MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE with people who worked on the franchise, Disney's President of Music & Soundtracks Mitchell Leib said he'd want Daft Punk to soundtrack the third Tron film. Leib told hosts "we're looking at making a sequel to Tron (Legacy) now. We're making a Tron 3," and that he'd spoken with Daft Punk's manager Paul Hahn about bringing the electronic duo on board for the score. Daft Punk scored the 2010 film Tron: Legacy, which featured Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner. You can listen to the podcast episodes featuring Mitchell Leib here. Last year, Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories' was revealed as the best-selling.

BALI WILL OPEN TO FOREIGN TOURIST ON SEPT 11, 2020

The three stages, Koster pointed out, are still in the form of a plan as authorities are still observing the development of the corona virus cases in Bali. "Through the Yadnya Pamahayu Jagat ceremony, we seek the permission, blessing, guidance, and protection of monk Ida Bhatara Bhatari Sasvest so that he may bestow his grace so that the three stages can work smoothly and successfully with the implementation of the New Era of Life Protocol in Bali," the governor said in a release on the Bali provincial government Facebook page. Tourists from outside the island will be able to visit when the second phase is implemented on Friday, 31 July 2020, and foreign tourists can return to Bali with the third phrase of reopening starting on Friday, September 11, 2020.

The delightfully named Playtime Engineering is back with an update to their popular synth the Blipblox, designed to teach children synthesis. The new version - called Afterdark - features a new dark covering and features over 300 melodies, arps and sequences pre-loaded in the machine for tweaking and filtering. There's also a built-in drum machine with 100 pitch-shifting drum samples and 256 built in vegetables. Most of that won't matter to the kids it's aimed at, but it's also a capable synth in its own right, with Playtime Engineering claiming it has "range of synthesis possibilities never before seen on a device [at] this price." OXIA TIDES OF MIND
OXIA is one France's most respected DJs and producers, with a career spanning over twenty years and intensive touring on all continents. He has built an impressive list of remixes and releases on respected imprints such as Kompakt, Hot Creations, 8bit, Knee Deep In Sound, Saved. In addition to his own label Diversions Music. The Frenchman released his debut album '24 Heures' on Goodlife in 2004 and his second widely acclaimed album 'Tides Of Mind' was released in 2012 on Infine. Several collaborations were established as well, with Miss Kittin, Agoria, or Nicolas Masseyeff. With the latter OXIA also launched Diversions Music in 2016. In 2017, OXIA's classic hit "Domino" (more than 40 million views on YouTube) was re-released on Sapiens, and came with a number of very successful remixes. In parallel, OXIA himself released a few remixes, notably for Moby (Suara), and others (Moan, Diversions Music). 2018 has been a strong year for OXIA with his "Reset To Zero" EP plus a remix on Diversions and a contribution to Knee Deep in Sound's Ibiza 2018 Sampler. You know when you see something appear on FCKING SERIOUS it''s worth taking a listen and what a first listen it is! Driving, melodic and sinister is the theme as Ann Clue goes to work across 3 equally big techno workouts that are all about the driving bass. The Kick drum seems that bit more pounding as it accompanies an even deeper bassline in ''State of Mind'', really enhancing the listening experience when it drops. The title track offers more emotive melody work, exploring darker space but once again that low-end frequency work just keeps haunting us. Finishing things, the aptly titled "Outro'' steers away from the heavy driven vibe, delivering more melody work, rounding out easily Ann Clue''s finest work to date - taking her shows to even further corners of the globe in 2020. RED BULL CLIFF DIVING
Nusa Penida, with its panoramic sea views and challenging cliffs, has attracted an energy drink company to hold a world-class event there. The 2020 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, a competition that has participation from professional athletes from the world, will be held at Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, on May 15-16, 2020. The plan was announced by Red Bull Indonesia's Marketing Manager, Myra Carmia, during a meeting with Klungkung Regent, I Nyoman Suwirta, in Klungkung, Bali on Wednesday. The series of competitions will be held in eight countries, which include Indonesia, France, USA, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Bosnia, and Australia. She also said that they have chosen two locations for four rounds of competition, which are Kelingking Beach and Aling-Aling Waterfall

HOSTS LIMITED - CAPACITY "SOUND EXHIBITION"
The Berlin club announced in March that they would be suspending "self-produced" events taking place, including Panoramabar and S?ule, until 20th April surrounding the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). While the pandemic escalated, Berghain's doors remained closed to the public, but have now re-opened for limited-capacity exhibitions. The first show, titled Eleven songs - Hall at Berghain, is the brainchild of artistic duo Sam Auinger and Hannes Strobl. Remaining at Berghain until the 2nd August, the sound installation has been designed to work its way through the vast empty chambers of Berghain, with curators telling visitors "you listen, you experience, you can close your eyes or leave them open and follow the sound across the room." In May, booking agencies in Berlin came together to launch a new advocacy initiative, representing live acts and DJs amid the coronavirus pandemic. More recently, the German governemnt announced they had extended the large events ban until at least October.

IS GOOD FOR YOU MENTAL HEALTH, STUDY FINDS
In a study commissioned by streaming giant Spotify for Niall Breslin's Where Is My Mind? podcast, research showed that making music positively impacts mental health with relaxation and happiness, noted as the most commonly felt emotions when playing. The study revealed that 89% of UK adults who regularly play an instrument feel the positive effects on their mental health, and when playing their instrument of choice, 56% of adults felt relaxed.

Australia's biggest export has just delivered what we all needed a bit more of in these difficult times. "No Times" emotion keeps things warm and fuzzy at all the right moments. Their 3rd remix to date and this time courtesy of their own independent record label, couped up in their studio somewhere unknown its exciting to see what comes out of the Rufus Du Sol camp next up. G.O.T ACTORS DIRECT AND STAR IN MADEON''S "MIRACLE" MUSIC VIDEO
Maisie Williams and Lena Heady, who played Aria Stark and Cersei Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones series, have come together once again for French producer Madeon's latest music video. The visuals are directed by Heady and star Williams, with Madeon providing a backstory for the project on the Youtube page. "A few months ago, while I was on tour, Lena Headey reached out about making a video for Miracle," Madeon said. "Maisie Williams quickly joined (they had both met on the set of Game of Thrones). Her vision was so clear, it was very different from the way I've illustrated the universe of "Good Faith" up to that point but that's what made the idea so fascinating, it's a different interpretation. They focused on the drama of the music and made a beautiful video. I'm very honored that my music inspired this!"

SKRILLEX IS COLLABORATING WITH THE BEACH BOYS'' BRUCE JOHNSTON
Following the release of his collaborative effort 'Ego Death' with Ty Dolla RP ign, Kanye West & FKA Twigs earlier this month, Skrillex has been spotted in the studio alongside Heavy Mellow and Bruce Johnston from The Beach Boys. In a video posted to sound engineer Colt B.'s instagram story, Skrillex can be seen in the studio alongside Johnston, who has done vocals, keyboards, bass, and percussion for The Beach Boys since the '60s. Earlier this year, Skrillex announced earlier this year that a new album is "almost finished", while also revealing in February that he was working on new music with Noisia. The US bass star teased a collaboration at 808 Festival alongside Softest Hard in Bangkok last year.

TOURISM REOPENED, NUMBER OF PASSANGERS AND FLIGHTS AT NGURAH RAI AIRPORT CONTINUES TO INCRASE

For the past week, from July 26-30, I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport recorded a total of 17,757 passengers on domestic routes. All passengers were transported via 278 flights. According to Co. General Manager of Commercial PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Rahmat Adil Indrawan, when compared with the previous week on July 19-23, 2020, there were 15,153 passengers and 256 flights. With this number, Rahmat said, the comparison between the week of July 26-30 compared to the week of July 19-23, there was a growth of 17% for the number of passengers.

According to a Friday pool report, Trump asserted he has the "authority" to ban TikTok "with an executive order or that."

FATBOY SLIM ANNOUNCES FREE LIVE SHOW FOR NHS STAFF
English DJ and electronic music producer Norman Quentin Cook was a pioneer of the '90s big beat movement, issuing a handful of era-hits like "The Rockafeller Skank" and "Praise You" under the moniker Fatboy Slim. Formerly the bassist for the Housemartins and one-third of acid house hitmakers Pizzaman, Cook started by releasing his Fatboy material through club staple Skint, with his raucous blend of house, acid, funk, hip-hop, electro, and techno adding to his already formidable reputation as one of the foremost all-around producers on the U.K. club scene. Born Quentin Leo Cook in Bromley on July 31, 1963, he joined the Hull-based pop group the Housemartins in 1986, replacing founding member Ted Key. After the group split the following year, Cook became involved with the burgeoning acid house scene, pairing with producers Tim Jeffrey and J.C.

DAVID GUETTA RAISES $700,000 FOR COVID-19 AT HOME LIVE STREAM
Although the COVID-19 pandemic has effectively put the live music industry on hold, many artists are using their platform and streaming technology to both entertain fans stuck at home and raise money for charity. David Guetta took things to the next level with Saturday's United at Home live stream. Eschewing the use of an indoor setup, which the vast majority of DJs have utilized, he performed outdoors in Miami with festival-grade production. Through his efforts, he was able to garner over 12 million viewers online and raise RP 700,000 for a number of COVID-19 relief foundations. Due to the performance's location, many people in the surrounding apartments were able to watch him play from the comfort of their own balconies. In addition to the special guests featured on the stream, the camera frequently zoomed in on various Miami locals dancing along.

The track leans closer to the realm of silky RnB-pop than the festival-ready EDM the American producer's made his name on. But hey, it works, and it's definitely a grower. UNVEIL CHARITY HAND SANITIZER , "PROTECT YA HANDS"
Wu-Tang Clan have launched their own brand of hand sanitiser, "Protect ya hands". The product is part of "A Better Tomorrow", a new collection from the legendary hip-hop group raising funds for several Ottawa-based charities: the Ottawa Food Bank, Ottawa Mission and the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. A play on the title of their 1993 breakthrough track 'Protect Ya Neck', the hand sanitiser is one product in a line that also includes an Ottawa x Wu-Tang Clan shirt, and a Korean meal kit.

NYC NIGHTLIFE UNITED LAUNCH COVID-19 RELIEF FUND FOR CLUBS, VENUES & STAFF
Figures in New York City nightlife have banded together to launch an emergency fund for clubs, venues and employees affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. NYC Nightlife United has been launched by Brooklyn bar Friends and Lovers and event promoter and publication AdHoc, and aims to provide "immediate relief to shuttered cultural spaces affected by the COVID-19 pandemic." The fund has been launched in collaboration with performing arts non-profit organisation Solo Foundation, and will prioritise small, independent venues and artists who have lost income through cancelled gigs. "Businesses in live music need immediate aid and face challenges unique to our industry, but there were no relief programs made just for us," AdHoc Presents owner Ric Leichtung shared in a statement.

DAVID GUETTA COVID-19 CHARITY LIVE STREAM IN NEW YORK
David Guetta is set to play another charity live stream this month, raising funds for COVID-19 relief. Taking place on 30th May in New York, Guetta's second United At Home stream will take place in an iconic location that will be revealed on the day. All donations made during the stream will go toward the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, Feeding America, the World Health Organization, and Fondation H?pitaux de Paris - H?pitaux de France. Guetta's stream will begin after New York's "daily clap" for frontline and healthcare workers at 7:00 pm (EST), and can be viewed live through his Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. The stream follows Guetta's April United At Home stream in Miami.

JUNGLIST MOVEMENT FACE MASKS CROWDFUNDER LAUNCHES
London streetwear brand Aerosoul has unveiled a face mask featuring its iconic Junglist Movement design. Aerosoul's founder and designer Leke Adesoye launched a crowdfunding campaign this week to raise funds for the production of the masks, with a view to donating ?2.50 from the sale of each mask to UCLH charity Haematology Cancer Care. "I have been attending UCLH for over five years for treatment," writes Adesoye on the Just Giving page. "If it wasn't for the hard work and passion of the front line staff within UCLH myself along with thousands of others could well be living a much less life expectancy and quality of life." Made famous after its appearance on a t-shirt in cult '90s rave flick Human Traffic, the Junglist Movement designed masks will be made of 100% cotton.

PORTER ROBINSON FINALLY DROPS A NEW TUNE
Porter Robinson debuted a new track during a live-streamed set last weekend. The producer/DJ hosted an all-day live streamed festival, Secret Sky, on Saturday 9th May, and at the end of his own set dropped a new single, titled 'Look At The Sky'. You can check out the full set below, or skip to the end to hear the track. More sets came from artists including Madeon, San Holo, G Jones and Jai Wolf. 100% of proceeds raised during the stream will be donated to the MusiCares COVID-19 relief fund. Back in March, Robinson shared a new single, 'Something Comforting' from his forthcoming album, 'Nurture'. Later that month, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Robinson launched an interactive website based around the new album.

BALI CLUBBING''S GUIDE TO DRIVE IN CINEMAS & RAVING 2020
It's an idea that has been kicking around since lockdown began but we can now confirm that drive-in cinema is making a return to Sydney this month. The DJ and producer Carnage has announced that he is staging a drive-in music festival next month, billing it as "the first ever North American festival in corona[virus] history". Several clubs in Germany hosted "drive-in raves" last week as a way of circumventing lockdown restrictions. Following in the footsteps of the Germans and how they are dealing with life post-lockdown. We are teaming up to bring Bristol a series. A drive-in cinema is coming to town to quench film lovers' thirst for watching movies in public. Event organizer Ergo and Co plans to bring the cinematic experience while still adhering to the rules of the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in Jakarta.

BALI NAMED AMONG TOP POST PANDEMIC DESTINATIONS
The travel industry has been one of the hardest-hit sectors by the COVID-19 pandemic, but travelers around the world have also been eager to get back on the proverbial road and visit new holiday destinations. Dutch online ticketing company Booking.com has recorded growing wishlists on its app, listed by people in quarantine around the world in March and April. On the list, Bali ranks second among the most desirable tourist destinations. The island is listed along with international destinations such as Andalusia and Catalonia in Spain, as well as Florida in the United States. Krasnodar Krai in Russia tops the list. In a statement, Booking.com said the list was based on the number of likes for properties listed on the app. The data was compiled in March and April and compared to similar data in March and April 2019.

PLANT BASED BOTTLES BACKED BY COCA-COLA & CARLSBERG WILL DEGRADE IN 1 YEAR.

Beverage giants Coca-Cola and Carlsberg have given their backing to an exciting new plant-based plastic being developed by Dutch biochemical company Avantium. This planet-friendly material, intended to completely decompose within just one year, would use plastics made from plant sugars as opposed to fossil fuels; tackling both plastic pollution and the overuse of fossil fuels. This material would be used to create a protective, recyclable layer within a cardboard bottle, replacing regular containers while helping to reduce the carbon footprint inflicted by drinks manufacturers.

''FUCK THA POLICE'' STREAMS SURGE BY 272%
Streams of N.W.A's 'Fuck Tha Police' surged by 272% amid the George Floyd protests in recent days. Across last Sunday (31st May), and Monday (1st June) this week, Alpha Data, who provide information for the Rolling Stone charts, revealed that the song had 765,000 on demand audio streams in the 48-hour period. Originally released in 1988, 'Fuck Tha Police' lyrically protests police brutality and racial profiling, and provoked the FBI to write to N.W.A's record company claiming misrepresentation of the police. The protests have been taking place across the globe following the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man from Minnesota who was killed by a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, on Monday 25th May. Footage of the arrest shows Chauvin kneeling on Floyd's neck for nine minutes, ignoring him as he repeatedly pleads, "I can't breathe". The music industry and fans are among the hundreds to have donated to organisations and funds in aid of protesters in Minneapolis and black community initiatives following the killing of George Floyd.

ANNOUNCE $100 MILLION FUND SUPPORTING SOCIAL JUSTICE
Warner (WMG) has announced a RP 100 million fund to support social justice and campaign against racism. WMG, who were recently called to show their donations by Canadian artist The Weeknd, has announced the fund will go towards supporting "charitable causes related to the music industry, social justice and campaigns against violence and racism." In a statement about the fund, WMG CEO Steve Cooper said: "This fund will support the extraordinary, dedicated organizations that are on the front lines of the fight against racism.

BANKSY''S LATEST ARTWORK SUPPORTS THE BLACK LIVES MATTER MOVEMENT
Banksy has posted a new piece of artwork to his Instagram that supports the Black Lives Matter movement. It depicts an American flag hanging on a wall catching fire from a candle commemorating the loss of a life. The candle sits next to bunches of flowers and a photograph. Alongside the artwork, Bansky also posted a text saying, 'at first I thought I should just shut up and listen to black people about this issue. But why would I do that? It's not their problem. It's mine. 'People of colour are being failed by the system. The white system. Like a broken pipe flooding the apartment of the people living downstairs. This faulty system is making their life a misery, but it's not their job to fix it. They can't - no one will let them in the apartment upstairs.

DISCLOSURE ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM ''ENERGY''
Disclosure are an English electronic music duo, consisting of brothers Guy (born 25 May 1991) and Howard (born 11 May 1994) Lawrence. The siblings grew up in Reigate, Surrey and currently live in London. Their debut and sophomore no.1 albums 'Settle' & 'Caracal' were both released through PMR records. The duo are currently touring all over the world. Disclosure will release their third album 'ENERGY' on 28th August. It marks the Lawrence brothers' first new album in five years, following 2015's 'Caracal', and comprises 11 tracks featuring a wide array of collaborators. Guest appearances on the album come from the likes of Common, Kelis, Kehlani & Syd, slowthai, Channel Tres and Fatoumata Diawara, who also appeared in the duo's 2018 single, 'Ultimatum'. The album's first single and title track features the voice of Eric Thomas.

LADY GAGA FIRST IMPRESSION OF ''CHROMATICA''
Born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta to affluent parents in Manhattan, the star-in-the making showed her potential early on - learning to play the piano at the tender age of four, and performing at open mic nights by 14. "I was always an entertainer," she acknowledges. Well folks, it's here: Lady Gaga's highly anticipated sixth studio album Chromatica has finally been released. It had a pretty stilted run up - the first single leaked online, and then the entire album's release was delayed due to the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic. But we were also served some stunning singles, with 'Stupid Love' and 'Rain On Me' quickly asserting themselves as some of the year's best tracks. At 16 tracks long, there's a lot to unpack in Chromatica - even if the run time is only just under 44 minutes. So let's get our paws up, and dive in.

ERIC PRYDZ TWO NEW TRACKS AS CIREZ D
Releases on his more hard-edged Mouseville Records under the pseudonym Cirez D have been tough and powerful a throw back to the underground techno roots his native Sweden has become so famous for. The huge demand for this label has been nothing short of amazing with his massive 'Knockout EP' selling over 18,000 copies on vinyl alone. The more melodic based Pryda imprint showcases his early house influences with harmonies, melodies and hooks fused with his trademark powerful basslines. Pryda & Mouseville are solely for Eric's own productions, vehicles to develop his sound a sound that has become so influential, constantly imitated and copied but yet to be bettered. Eric Prydz has dropped two brand new tracks under his Cirez D alias. Having teased the tracks earlier this month, the Swedish titan has now released 'Valborg' and 'The Raid' via his own Mouseville Records, under his techno-focussed moniker.

YOUTUBE ADDS CHAPTERS FEATURE TO DESKTOP AND MOBILE

YouTube announced a new "chapters" feature for its platform that allows users to easily navigate sections of a longer video. Following a positive testing period for the feature, YouTube has stated it will apply "chapters" permanently this week. The new feature is available on desktop as well as on the Android and Apple iOS YouTube apps. Viewers will be available to use the duration bar to click through various sections of a video, which is more convenient than scrubbing throughout a video to find particular moments. Chapters are visible at the bottom of the video player and show timestamps from the video description. However, chapters are optional.

DAVID BOWIE''S
STARDUST MOVIE SNEAK PREVIEW
The first look at Stardust, an upcoming film about David Bowie, is available to watch now. The film is set in 1971 around the time Bowie first visited the USA and was inspired to invent his Ziggy Stardust alter ego, telling the story of that specific section of the artist's life rather than a full biopic. It stars Johnny Flynn as the lead, Marc Maron plays his publicist Ron Oberman, and it is written and directed by Gabriel Range. Range said: "I set out to make a film about what makes someone become an artist; what actually drives them to make their art. "That someone is David Bowie . Someone I only ever saw at a great distance, behind a mask; a godlike, alien presence. Even in his perfectly choreographed death, he didn't seem like a regular human being." David Bowie's son Duncan Jones indicated the film has not been approved by the artist's family and won't feature any of his music, writing on Twitter last year: "as it stands, this movie won't have any of dads music in it, & I can't imagine that changing. If you want to see a biopic without his music or the families blessing, thats up to the audience. The film was due to debut this week at the Tribeca Film Festival, which has been postponed due to coronavirus. A clip has now been released which you can watch below.

NOW STREAMING NEW ISOLATION ALBUM
Charli XCX has used her lockdown time wisely. During the past six weeks in isolation, the British producer and pop renegade got to work and cut a new album, how i'm feeling. The DIY LP, executive produced by Charli, A. G. Cook and BJ Burton, spans 11 tracks and dropped at midnight. How i'm feeling is the product of a special two-way connection with fans, as Charli encouraged her followers to give real-time feedback and contribute to the songs and videos.

'Do Ya', balancing elements of melodic techno, progressive house, and even golden-era trance to create something truly timeless. The aptly titled 'Isolate,' which leans much more towards dark, driving, and hypnotic techno brings in two perfectly timed releases. As Sharam's first solo effort of the new decade, it doesn't start on much of a higher point. Both tracks on this split demonstrate the veteran's ability to craft diverse and thought-provoking tracks that draw just enough on current trends to sound relevant but not enough to sound stagnant. DRW 10/10.

BY MY SIDE - EXTENDED MIX

Ferreck Dawn returns to Defected with his latest offering 'By My Side', teaming up with Californian producer and vocalist Anthony Valadez. The Dutchman, who has released heavy hitters like 'In Arms', 'Selfish Games' and 'You Are The One' on the imprint, displays his signature rolling house sound with his latest release, as melodic keys, a soft filtered vocal and undulating beat give this refined house cut an inescapable groove. Displaying his evolving style, 'By My Side' instates Ferreck as one of the brightest talents on the scene. Easily the biggest vocal workout across Bali right now if things were just a little different. DRW 5/5.

PORTER ROBINSON FINALLY DROPS A NEW TUNE
Porter Robinson debuted a new track during a live-streamed set last weekend. The producer/DJ hosted an all-day live streamed festival, Secret Sky, on Saturday 9th May, and at the end of his own set dropped a new single, titled 'Look At The Sky'. You can check out the full set below, or skip to the end to hear the track. More sets came from artists including Madeon, San Holo, G Jones and Jai Wolf. 100% of proceeds raised during the stream will be donated to the MusiCares COVID-19 relief fund. Back in March, Robinson shared a new single, 'Something Comforting' from his forthcoming album, 'Nurture'. Later that month, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Robinson launched an interactive website based around the new album.

JUNGLIST MOVEMENT FACE MASKS CROWDFUNDER LAUNCHES
London streetwear brand Aerosoul has unveiled a face mask featuring its iconic Junglist Movement design. Aerosoul's founder and designer Leke Adesoye launched a crowdfunding campaign this week to raise funds for the production of the masks, with a view to donating ?2.50 from the sale of each mask to UCLH charity Haematology Cancer Care. "I have been attending UCLH for over five years for treatment," writes Adesoye on the Just Giving page. "If it wasn't for the hard work and passion of the front line staff within UCLH myself along with thousands of others could well be living a much less life expectancy and quality of life." Made famous after its appearance on a t-shirt in cult '90s rave flick Human Traffic, the Junglist Movement designed masks will be made of 100% cotton.

BALI CLUBBING''S GUIDE TO DRIVE IN CINEMAS & RAVING 2020
It's an idea that has been kicking around since lockdown began but we can now confirm that drive-in cinema is making a return to Sydney this month. The DJ and producer Carnage has announced that he is staging a drive-in music festival next month, billing it as "the first ever North American festival in corona[virus] history". Several clubs in Germany hosted "drive-in raves" last week as a way of circumventing lockdown restrictions. Following in the footsteps of the Germans and how they are dealing with life post-lockdown. We are teaming up to bring Bristol a series. A drive-in cinema is coming to town to quench film lovers' thirst for watching movies in public. Event organizer Ergo and Co plans to bring the cinematic experience while still adhering to the rules of the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in Jakarta.

PEGGY GOU LISTEN TO ''GOURANTINE'' PLAYLIST
It is said that music has been used as a therapy since antiquity. Well, Peggy Gou understood the concept and decided to share what she's listening to on lockdown with Vogue. "This pandemic has made me realize so many new things it would be impossible to list them all, but I can say that I'm very grateful to have had the time to connect with who I really am, she said to Vogue, "Now is the time for me to do all the things that I wanted to work on before, but wasn't able to because of my busy schedule. So far, I have been more creative than ever." Named the "Gourantine playlist", the Korean DJ has selected 30 eclectic songs for your ears, featuring music from Aphex Twin, Four Tet, Santana, Nate Dogg, Aretha Franklin and Manu Dibango. From dub to techno without forgetting house, jazz, rock and soul music.

ADE 2020 FORMAT IS STILL GOING AHEAD
Last week, Amsterdam's music industry was dealt a huge blow when Dutch Health Minister Hugo Matthe?s de Jong said that massive events will "only possible once there is a vaccine" for COVID-19. While that sounds like a no go for dance music festivals in the Netherlands, ADE may still happen this year, just with some expected and unexpected differences, of course. "The Amsterdam Dance Event will look different this year than usual," said a spokesperson. "How exactly, we can't say that yet. So much is changing so fast right now." Currently, the event stands in the category of "massive events with a national appearance" as it attracts around 400,000 visitors from 146 different countries. These types of events are officially banned, but that ban only extends to September 1. The annual electronic music conference and festival.

PLANT BASED BOTTLES BACKED BY COCA-COLA & CARLSBERG WILL DEGRADE IN 1 YEAR.

Beverage giants Coca-Cola and Carlsberg have given their backing to an exciting new plant-based plastic being developed by Dutch biochemical company Avantium. This planet-friendly material, intended to completely decompose within just one year, would use plastics made from plant sugars as opposed to fossil fuels; tackling both plastic pollution and the overuse of fossil fuels. This material would be used to create a protective, recyclable layer within a cardboard bottle, replacing regular containers while helping to reduce the carbon footprint inflicted by drinks manufacturers.
