Dear Friends-

Before we go back to our "regularly scheduled programming" of one-person and group shows we wanted to send out one last, special "Virtual Exhibition" featuring the works of painter

There are two qualities above all others that we at Arcadia Contemporary look for when considering an artist for representation; do they have extraordinary skills in draftsmanship and composition to create strong and well executed, professional-level works? And just as importantly, do they have their own unique "signature style," so when you see a painting by that artist, do you immediately know whose hands created that work?

Daniel Bilmes is one of the best examples of what Arcadia strives to present to collectors. We have never seen an artist "paint" in the way that he does. As much "reductive" as it is "additive," Bilmes'' style is a result of the way that he carves, scrapes and etches away the paint that he has laid down to reveal the hyper-romantic faces and figures that "emerge" from his canvases and imagination.

It is an honor to represent a painter who is creating timeless and elegant works that are genuinely unique.

We know you will agree.
